This morning in this third teaching session, we are going to be looking at the subject EMPOWERED FOR CONQUEST. I like you to follow very closely this morning as we go through God’s Word. Church Gist. By the Word of the Lord today, after this encounter today you will never lose a battle again. You will never be found as a loser in any battle again in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
According to scriptures, God has ordained power to be the identity of the redeemed. John 1:12. Everyone that is identified as a son of God is expected to carry the credential of power. What that means is that what your ID card is to recognizing your personality is what power is to recognizing your Christianity. Until power is available your Christianity will be in question. The only credential that authenticates your identity with Christ is power. Church Gist. This is why the Bible makes us understand that the Kingdom of God is not in word only but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20, 2:4-5. What that means is that in Kingdom life, you are not to operate by cheap talk but by brute force. That is the identity of Kingdom life. In other words, until you are operating in power, there is a question mark on your Kingdom identity.
We look at the example of Jesus who is our pattern son. Hebrews 12:2. 1 Corinthians 1:24. His identity was power. Matthew 7:29. Everything about Jesus was identified with power. After the encounter on this mountain, everything about your life shall be identified with power. Why is this so important? Because the only language that the enemy understands is power. Church Gist. Psalm 66:3. It is power that Satan understands. People may argue with your oration but they cannot argue with your demonstration. When power is in view, arguments are silenced. Today, every argument, every contention shall be silenced by the power of God.
Acts 6:10. That word ‘Spirit’ there has to do with power. They could not resist the power by which he spake. From today, nothing will be able to resist you again. This is important because the devil is an apex predator that is seeking opportunities to devour the powerless. 1 Peter 5:8. He is looking for the powerless to consume. 1 John 5:19. Psalm 74:20. We live in a wicked world. Life, like God’s servant will say, is a wildlife park. You must be loaded with power or you end up becoming a victim. Church Gist. Today will begin your adventure in power in the name of Jesus. This is why you and I have a responsibility to grow from grammar to power. We have a responsibility to grow from explanation to manifestation. I believe God that on this mountain, by the encounters you are having with God’s Word, the power of the highest will begin to find practical expression in each one of our lives.
Matthew 11:12. We are in a contention and it takes power to bring a conclusion to the matter. That is why the place of power is not negotiable in the adventure of the believer. Church Gist. That is what we have been looking at since we came upon this mountain. Diving into several facets of the power platforms available to you and I in order to ensure that you are victorious in the adventure of life. You will be victorious in the name of Jesus Christ.
This morning we are going to be centering on one of those platforms that positions us for a life of supernatural conquest and that is the platform of faith. Listen to me carefully, faith is that spiritual force that quenches all the fiery darts of the devil. Ephesians 6:16. Everything hell can throw, faith can quench. Whatever it is the devil can organize, faith can demoralize. It can scatter it. This is why the subject of faith becomes a non-negotiable factor in bringing you and I to a realm of unquestionable conquest in the journey of life. Principalities and powers over nations and kingdoms are brought to their knees by the force of faith. Ephesians 6:12. 1 John 5:3. Every principality, every power, every ruler of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places can be brought to their knees by the authority of faith. Church Gist. This is why you discover that faith has always been under attack by the gates of hell. Because Satan knows if he can silence your faith, he can steal your victory. Luke 18:8. In other words, you will discover that in these last days faith has become more and more of a scarce commodity. Satan is looking for ways to paralyze the faith of the people of God. To silence the faith of the people of God. To disqualify and weaken the faith of the people of God. The good news is that concerning you, he has already failed.
Luke 22:31. Hold that thought for a moment. You will expect that Jesus will say “Because he has desired you, I will fight him for you. I will pray that he will not win the battle against you.” Instead Jesus said “I have prayed for you, that your faith fails not.” If faith does not fail, the enemy must fail. Question recognised that the question was a straight line matter. When faith caves in, the devil comes in but when faith is able to stand strong, the devil is forced to go back. Church Gist. This is why you and I must come to the point of recognizing that if we are going to be triumphant in these last days, faith is a non-negotiable factor. It is the key to a life of conquest and triumph. I pray for you that via this encounter your faith will change levels. Hebrews 11:33-34. All of these are simply the exposition of the potency of faith in the battles of life. When faith comes on the scene, conquest comes on the scene. The last battle you lost will be the last one forever.
We must understand that we are to go beyond the realm of the Word of Faith to come to the realm of the Spirit of faith. The Spirit of faith brings you and I to a realm of unquestionable triumph. You are winning sweatlessly in the battles of life. 2 Corinthians 4:13. So there is what the Bible refers to as the Spirit of faith. Church Gist. We must grow into operating on this level, that is why God has brought us on this Mountain for among others. To experience a fresh baptism of the Spirit of faith. When you are operating in the realm of the Spirit of faith, you don’t struggle to believe anything. You are capable of believing all things. When it comes to the point of battle, that is when you see faith being truly tested. It is at the point of battle.
When everything is calm, it is easy to claim that you believe anything but when contention arises, that’s when you begin to see that there’s a dimension that we need to get that is beyond knowledge. It’s an empowerment of the Spirit. You know? Jesus came across a man and the man brought his son and said: “This my son has been vexed with the devil and every time, this devil throws him into the fire, throws him into the water and wants to kill him and wants to destroy him.” And right there in front of Jesus, the devil began to manifest. And Jesus asked the man: “Do you believe I’m able to do this?” And the man made a statement – very striking. He said: “Lord! I believe! But help my unbelief!” I believe that you can do it but this situation, the way it is looking; it is rattling my faith, it is shaking me. Church Gist. He has heard that Jesus could cast out devils, he was aware that Jesus could perform miracles. But in the day of battle, his confidence was shaking. That’s why you and I must come to the point of operating by the Spirit of Faith! That’s what gets you to be in the midst of what looks like an accident and say: “It cannot happen!” Why? Because there is something that is alive in you that makes it clear to you that this is not the way it can end. Is somebody hearing what God is saying? That is the operation of the Spirit of Faith! It brings you to the point like Paul the Apostle said: “Believing all things!” Where there is no struggle to believe God in the midst of the battles of life.
-I pray for somebody hearing my voice this morning, by the encounter you’re having upon this Mountain. Church Gist. Receive a fresh baptism of the Spirit of Faith in the name of Jesus Christ.
I’ve shared this testimony many times. (In) 2015, I was driving down to the Covenant Hour of Prayer on a highway – big highway. On top speed, early in the morning. And as I was going, suddenly my vehicle turned around and began to face an onward car. It just turned and began to face oncoming traffic. 18-Wheel trucks were coming in my direction. In the midst of everything that was happening, there was no… I was the only one in the car, there was no shout. There was no thought that: “The end has come” because it cannot end like that on two premises: Number one, that I am going to serve God, so it is His duty to keep me. Number two is that I have a covenant with God from His Word. God’s Servant has been teaching that over the years. From His Word! And that covenant is a covenant of 120. For me, 120 is 2103 not 2015. Is somebody getting it now? So, there was nothing inside me that thought death, that considered destruction. Church Gist. In the midst of that, all I said in it, without a shout, it was just a breath: “Jesus!” Because it comes to a point, where there’s no time for sentences. It is the matter of your heart that rules your situation. And as I breathe that word: “Jesus!” The vehicle I was in turned back on its own. At that time, steering was locked, gear was locked, pedals were locked. I’ve never seen or heard it before in my life. Everything (was) locked but the car that was in the middle of the road drove without me pressing the pedal, turning the steering or shifting the gear and drove until the (car) shuddered off the highway and parked. I switched it off and switched it on and everything was loose. Is somebody hearing what God is saying? I want you to understand this morning that we are living in a Kingdom of superior realities but it will take the Spirit of Faith to operate in this dimension of conquest.
-I pray for somebody hearing my voice today, everything that has been contending with your life, your destiny, your family. Church Gist. As this Spirit of Faith is injected into your heart, I see you entering into supernatural conquest! Good news of your victory will reach you on this ground! Somebody who believes, say a louder Amen!
That brother said he was sitting here yesterday and then the message of his job hit him on the Ground.
-I pray for somebody again today! As this Word is injected into your heart. I say good news of your victory will reach you in this ground! If you believe it say the loudest Amen!
Quickly! What is Faith? Let’s come to the point of definition.
- Faith is an unstoppable force in the world of the Spirit.
Whatever cannot stop the way against God cannot stop the way against faith from accomplishing its mission. Why do we say so? The Word of God is absolutely clear. Mark 9:23. Church Gist. All things! And who is the person for whom all things are possible? Mark 10:27. So when faith comes on the scene, it brings man to the realm of God where he enters that dimension where nothing is able to stop him.
-I pray for somebody here today, from this day onward nothing shall be able to stop you! If you believe it say a louder Amen! In the name of Jesus Christ.
John 10:35. We are meant to understand that when the Word of God comes and remember that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. When the Word of the Lord comes; when faith is quickened, it brings men into the realm of God. Psalm 82:5-7. It is important for us to understand that the subject of faith is what brings a man to the platform where he is operating in the frequency of God, nothing is able to stop him or stand in his way. Shout hallelujah! Nothing is able to stop him or stand in his way. Why? Because faith elevated him to a new plateau of operation. Church Gist. It brings you and I to a new realm of reality. Acts 14:11. You discover that all the giants of faith in Scriptures, they operated in a realm that could not be humanly comprehended. Acts 14:11. What does that mean? They only resemble men oo but these ones are not men. They are not human beings, they were operating in a realm that could not be comprehended by the human limitation. Acts 5:13. That is, people saw them and said: “Look! It can’t work, these people are different! These individuals are operating in a level that cannot be explained. That’s what God has ordained for you and for me. People should see you and see your divinity – Where it is clear that: “This is not an ordinary person.” To mistake you for ordinary is a misidentification and what should provoke the reality of it is your faith. Shout hallelujah!
I have heard many people over the years say concerning God’s Servant, Bishop David Oyedepo: “He’s not a person! He’s a spirit.” You know why? When faith comes alive inside of you, it is clear that you are different from them. Church Gist. There is a clear demarcation. Your identification is absolutely clear. Everyone can see that: “This is not an ordinary person.”
-I pray for somebody here that by the time you’re descending from this Mountain, everyone who sees you will know that this is not an ordinary person. If you believe, say a louder Amen!!
There must be something dramatically different about you. I remember some years ago, a particular brother came and I was asking him a question and talking to him. I was sitting down in my house and I was talking to him; he was looking at me. And he began to look downward. And I called his name, I said: “Why are you not looking at me?” He said: “There is something from your eyes that is entering me.” Church Gist. I was asking him a question, he was already trying to manipulate. And I saw him looking down. I said: “Why are you looking down? Look at me!” He said: “Sir, there’s something from your eyes that is piercing my eyes.” There’s something piercing… People should see you and know that there is a difference in you. Is somebody getting it? And what activates it is the operation of the Spirit of Faith.
-Nobody will mistake you for an ordinary person again! If you believe it say a loud Amen!
- Faith is a spiritual force within that determines the triumphs without.
We are told that with the heart, man believe and with the mouth confession is made unto righteousness. Romans 10:10. So faith is a force that originates from the heart but the effects of faith can be seen. 1 John 5:4. So faith is inside the heart but the effect of faith is outside in one’s life. Every department of life is affected by the potency of faith. Church Gist. Is somebody getting what God is saying? What that means is that you can’t claim to have faith in your heart if you lack proofs in your life. Church Gist. The authentication of the faith in the heart is the proofs in one’s life. So if I have faith in my heart then I must have proofs in my life. It is an internal force that provokes external victories. That’s what faith is! That’s what Jesus said in Mark 11:23. So the evidence that you believe it in your heart is that, what you have said came to pass. There must be evidences!
-For somebody hearing my voice, from today; there must be evidences in your life.
So it’s an internal force that provokes external triumphs. When my wife was pregnant with our second child she began to have some spells where she would get very dizzy and so forth and you know? Almost want to faint. One day I was at home and suddenly she became dizzy and she was about to faint. So I caught her before she fell and I sat her down. And when I sat her down, just looking at her. She started fainting again. This time, my spirit was angry! So I looked at her and I shouted: “Stop!” From the fainting, she burst into laughter! She just burst into laughter! Somebody who was fainting. I said: “Why are you laughing?” She said: “Somebody is fainting, you are saying ‘Stop’.” I said: “Have you not stopped?” She burst into laughter! That was the end of fainting! Is somebody getting it now? It is inside the heart but you must have proofs in one’s life!!
- Faith is our access to a World of unlimited possibilities.
Hear this, the only limitation one can impose on God is unbelief. The only limitation that a person can impose on God is unbelief. Psalm 78:41. How do you do it? He said they turned back. Church Gist. And who are those that turned back? The ones who are not operating in faith. Hebrews 10:38. So, unbelief is the only limitation that a man can place on God. What that means is that, what God can do in your life is determined by how much faith is at work in your life.

The power of God is unlimited but the faith of man is usually limited. Even when it comes to conducting power in electricity, it is not every cable that can successfully conduct every wattage of power. That is why you have certain armoured cables that are to carry certain degrees of power. If you put the domestic cable you have inside your light bulb to that one, it will destroy it. Both of them are cable but capacity is different. If you go under a high tension wire, you will be hearing sounds. It is power, it is electricity that is passing through it. Even if you put a microphone inside your light bulb, you will not hear sounds even though there is power passing through it too. Church Gist. Somebody can touch an electricity outlet in your house and shout “Ah, it shocked me.” If you touch high tension, nobody touches it and shouts. You touch it and fry. Why? The power content that cable can conduct is beyond what allows you to shout. I have never seen anybody who touched high tension and shouted. The thing sends it to your system from top down in a moment. That other one, it shocks you and you shout “ That place is shocking”. It is shocking at a level that allows you to still be talking. There is a shock that is at a level where talking ceases permanently. Both of them are conducting power but at different degrees.
Question: are you a domestic cable faith or are you a high tension cable faith. The degree of your faith is the kind of cable you are using. Little faith equals domestic cable. Satan will shout and still be angry with the cable “nonsense wire” and he can still cut it. When you get to the high tension dimension of faith, you are now operating in the realm where Satan sees you and he can hear the sound. Church Gist. Psalm 18:44. Why? You are operating in a dimension of faith where Satan stays clear. For somebody hearing my voice today, I see an upgrade of your faith cable. It brings us to that dimension where we are able to operate without limits. Nothing holding you back anymore.
How does faith empower us for conquest? Let’s look at the operation of faith itself. How does it empower us for conquest?
- It secures the hand of God on our affairs.
When faith goes to work, God’s hand goes to work. It secures the hand of God on our affairs. Isaiah 53:1. The hand of God has certain connotations and I will just pick out a few of them:
(i.) The hand of God is the hand of provision.
Psalm 145:16. The hand of God is what determines the provisions of God in our lives. You are not to live by the economy, you are to live by faith. You are not to live by the situation at, you are to live by faith. Your life is not in the hand of the government, your life is in the hand of God. Church Gist. Governmental policies are not the determinant of your future, it is the hand of God. What secures God’s hand in your direction is the provocation of faith. Faith provokes the hand of God and the hand of God is the hand of provision.
(ii.) The hand of God is the hand of favour.
Nehemiah 2:8. One of us stood on this altar yesterday to testify, she said how she came, had an encounter and in her workplace they had told her before they would not take her. She had applied but they had rejected. She applied again and by the time she got there her name was not on the list. She still went to the place and they interviewed her and they took her according to the good hand of God that was upon her. That’s favour. The hand of God is the hand of favour. The beauty about favour is that favour is like a spotlight. When it comes to acting or stage drama, the entire stage is dark and there is a spotlight. There are many things on the stage but the only thing you can see is the one that has the spotlight. When a man or woman has favour, there are many options but that person is the only one that can be seen because the spotlight of God is on them. Favour is God’s spotlight on a man. It causes that individual to be seen where is required. Church Gist. That is why when Joseph came before the king, the Bible said Pharaoh said “Where can we find a man like this in whom the wisdom of God is?” Spotlight! He was not the only man there. There were other servants of Pharaoh there but everybody was nodding as Pharaoh was talking because the spotlight was only on one man. Genesis 41:39. The spotlight of favour rested upon him.
What provokes that spotlight is simply faith. Our faith is what provokes the hand of God and the hand of God puts the spotlight of favour on a person’s life. What is it that makes a person to get married? Is it because there are no options of other people to marry? No! Church Gist. One day when the spotlight rests upon a person, every other person may be there but that is the only person that they see. They brought all the beautiful virgins in the land to the King of Babylon and he couldn’t see anybody except Esther. The spotlight was on her. Favour had rested upon her because the hand of God was on her. Unexplainable, indescribable, incomprehensible dimensions of divine favour will answer on your behalf.
(iii.) The hand of God provokes speed.
1 Kings 18;40-46. It rested upon Elijah and the result of it was supernatural speed. The Bible said he outran the chariots of Ahab. Divine speed. You just find speed answering on your behalf in every aspect of life. The Faith Tabernacle that we are in, this structure was constructed in one year because the hand of God came down in response to faith. Church Gist. When the hand of God came down, it provoked supernatural speed. Can you imagine an edifice like this constructed within one year? Roads were put in place, drainages were put in place. God’s servant will say even flowers were planted within one year. That is heavenly dimension of speed. That is what God’s hand does. It pushes you beyond the expectations of man. By this time next year, your life will be a surprise to even yourself. That hand of speed will rest upon your life.
The hand of God is secured by faith and that hand provokes provision, provokes favour and provokes speed.
- Faith provokes divine intervention when challenged.
In the midst of your challenge, divine intervention is provoked by faith. John 11:40-44. In other words, faith is what will attract the intervention of God on your behalf even when you are in the midst of challenges. It attracts intervention, it causes God to step in. In other words, where faith is absent, God is blocked out. Where faith is present, God steps in. He intervenes at the instance of faith. Matthew 9:27-29. “According to your faith be it unto you,” not according to My touch but according to your faith. So faith is what provokes divine intervention. So God steps into our matter on the basis of our faith. Is somebody getting what God is saying? He steps into our matter on the basis of our faith. Church Gist. So if you want God to intervene in your case, simply activate your faith. You heard the testimony of that brother that stood on this altar? He said in their family there’s nobody that has tried to build in their hometown. He said: “Build anywhere but build there? No way! Those who tried it were destroyed by it.” And suddenly he said he heard God said, while he was in the market he heard the voice of God and remember, faith comes by hearing. That: “Go there and build.” Even when the family just heard the decision, they started holding family meeting. “Don’t try it oo, other people, see what happened to them. See what happened to B, see what happened to C.” He said: “No!” He said: “If Papa did not die building the Ark, I cannot die building this one.” You know? That’s somebody who has entered the realm of drunkenness. When they are citing family cases that you know. You know? It is different when you’re hearing eh Nebuchadnezzar; this one happened to him. This one happened to Lazarus. Now! This one happened to so, so person that you know. It happened to this other person that you know and happened to that other persons that you know. And you are aware that 40 years, nobody tried it and survived. But something had injected his spirit man that he was talking like a spiritual drunkard. Now! House completed! devil defeated, Jesus exalted! Is somebody getting in? You see? He invited God’s intervention on his behalf. What that means is that, by his action now, a 40-plus-year curse has been broken. Divine intervention! Simply by activating faith. - It draws on the power of God to deliver the impossible.
So faith is not just faith; like I said, it is a spiritual cable that connects to God’s power. 1 Corinthians 2:5. So faith connects with God’s power to deliver the impossible. It connects with God’s power to deliver the impossible. Shout hallelujah! Years ago, we went to have a crusade, in the year 2013, to be precise. We went to have a crusade and rain started to fall and as rain started to fall I knew I had to rush the message and so forth, so I quickly began to rush it because it was a crusade where people stand – no chair, nothing. Just a stand-up crusade and rain started falling. People started scattering little by little. And as I began to wrap up the Message, I began to seek God: “Lord! What do I do?” He said: “Pray for the sick.” So I said: “Everybody that is sick, ‘come forward’.” And then they came forward, different people (with) different ailments. Church Gist. And as they came forward, suddenly I saw a man that was on a wheelchair that was brought forward. His legs have become so wide, it’s almost like… That is, his feet. It’s like two put together in size. Not that he has elephantiasis but he had been in that condition for 8 years and water has settled in his legs. So the legs have become very wide. So as I was praying for them one by one because I knew that in this place, this man must be the reason why God said: “Call the sick and pray for them.” Because until there is a manifestation there will be no attention, particularly in the midst of that situation. So I met the man, I said: “What happened? He said he was coming down from bus and the door of the bus hit his back so his spinal column broke. So, for 8 years, he has been in that condition. I said: “Now! In the name of Jesus, I command you to walk!” The man said: “Eh! Pastor, but…” I said: “I command you to walk! In the name of Jesus, stand up and walk.” Before you know it, he will try to stand he will begin to make complaints. I said: “I command you to walk.” Little by little, he got up from the wheelchair and stood up. Everyone was watching! Now, rain was falling but nobody was moving. Why? Manifestation was happening. I said: “Now! I command you, take a step!” He took the first step. I command you: “Take another step!” He took the second step. Before we knew it, the man started taking steps. After 8 solid years on that wheelchair. You know why? God spoke, faith arose and God worked. You see? The power of God flows in the direction of faith. That was 2013! I still got a message from him last year (in) 2023. Ten years after, he’s still working. Is somebody getting it now? Power flows where faith connects. If there’s no faith, there’s no power. So our access to his power is determined by the connectivity of faith. - It commits God’s integrity to confirm His Word.
When faith is in place, the integrity of God is committed. 2 Timothy 2:13. - It quenches all opposing powers of the enemy.
That’s what faith does, it silences every opposing power. Ephesians 6:16. So, every force of hell is silenced by faith. So, whenever you see any kind of satanic manifestation or oppression; all that is required is your faith. Is somebody getting it? All that is required is your faith. One night, I couldn’t sleep and I didn’t know why I couldn’t sleep so I got up, took up my Bible and began to read and suddenly I got to the Book of Matthew 8:16. And the next thing we’re going to be having a Healing Service so I was very excited because I saw there, how that Jesus through His Word cast out devils. So in the Service, I was looking for any devil to cast out. Church Gist. Service started, service finished; I didn’t see any devil to cast out. So I went back to my office, the Word was still boiling inside me and suddenly my associate was in the office and I heard a loud sound in his office. So I entered the office, I saw a woman there talking with a man’s voice. I smiled: “You’re the one I’ve been waiting for since. You are the one!” She was talking with a man’s voice. And I remembered the testimony of God’s Servant, he said how he took somebody to a no man’s land and said: “Lie down there! Stand up!” So I said: “Yes! I will first punish this devil. “Lie down!” He laid down! “Stand up!” He stood up! “Sit down!” He sat down. I said: “Okay! Punishment is enough!” I said: “Bring the blood.” He brought the blood. “By the blood of Jesus, He sends satan out of their body. satan, get out!” On the spot! She was free! On the spot!!! You know why? When faith comes, every opposition of the devil is silenced.
-From now, every opposition of the devil will be silenced in your life.
- It engrafts believers into divinity thereby empowering us to accomplish the impossible.
It’s an engraftment. It engrafts us into divinity. Romans 11:17-23. You are grafted into God so you begin manifesting like God. That’s what faith does! You begin manifesting practically like God.
As I conclude this morning, take note of this:
Faith is not just believing but faith is believing in God based on His Word.
That means that no Word, no faith. In fact take note of this, the bedrock of faith is revelation. Romans 10:17. What does that mean? Have an insatiable appetite for God’s Word, don’t let any day start without starting with the Word. Don’t let any day go without basking in the Word. Don’t let any day go without meditating on the Word. Be a Word addict. The way people are drvg addiçts be a Word-addict. Church Gist. Commit yourself to living your life completely saturated in the Word of God. Is somebody getting it now? Live your life that way! I heard this from God’s Servant and it has been the same in my life. Somebody asked him: “Do you cram Scriptures?” And he said: “No! I eat Scriptures!” Now listen! The truth is I have never memorized a verse in my life! No! I sit down, I study the Word, I meditate on the Word. I seek to digest the Word. What enters your inner man stays there. Is somebody getting it now? What enters your inner man stays there.
-I pray for somebody here today, by the encounter you’ve had this morning; an insatiable, unconquerable appetite for the Word of God is quickened in you from now.
