What are prophecies? Interestingly, we understand that prophecies carry inbuilt capacity for fulfilment. Isaiah 55:10-11. Inbuilt capacity for fulfillment. Luke 1:45. When God speaks, it is done for anyone who cares to receive and believe it. Blessed, not the one that hears but the one that hears and believes for there shall be a performance. Church Gist. So it is not hearing, it is not writing it down. Do you really believe it? “Well if anything will happen, it should have happened by now. I will wait for what will happen during the next Shiloh.” At the end it shall speak. Abraham never staggered at the promise of God and it spoke at the end.
When we talk about prophecies, people are making merchandise of people today in the name of I am a prophet. Remember God’s Word is essentially prophetic. Most of the things working in my life today, I found it from the Word. I found it from the Word. It is the most reliable prophetic resource in the whole world. Church Gist. Down this morning, I began to reflect; most of the things I find in my studies and my meditation, they are as it relates to me. Some people are reading and assuming God is talking to somebody else. They are as it relates to me. They are personal to me. Joshua 1:8. You shall make your way prosperous. People are so bothered about others. Take heed to thyself.
All the things that changed my life, nobody came to prophesy them on me. I took the prophecy of scriptures as valid. I committed myself to them and they started speaking. For instance, nobody told me Matthew 6:33, God told me. If you will seek my Kingdom first in all its ramifications, all these things that others are dying to get, they shall be added to you. Church Gist. So I knew additions were coming if I will do what He says to do. The only proof of faith. You have heard me say several times that I am not surprised that we are where we are, I would have been surprised if we were not there.
Please understand that you don’t need anybody pointing a rod at you and telling you “Thus says the Lord, you are going to die.” The Bible didn’t say that. Church Gist. The Bible is prophecy from the mouth of God, not the mouth of David. “What they said to me, it didn’t work.” What God said to you, did it work? Find out if it worked.
Now, I don’t want to hit you but “bring ye all the tithes to my house”. Do you do that? Malachi 3:10. He says He will open the windows of heaven and I didn’t see any window. You won’t see anything until you do what He says to do to bring the windows. I have been doing that since 1982, consistently and dangerously. Church Gist. I didn’t need prayer. Your prayer can’t make me prosper. No prayer of another man can make you prosper. Forget it. Prophetic scriptures are the most reliable and I am not telling you how to see them fulfilled in your life. Prophecy is not what Papa said, it is what the Word says.
If you don’t have that perspective, you will be derailed any time. Somebody tells you that God said you should come to him. To do what? You said you don’t know and then you are going. Church Gist. May your ears be opened to the prophetic dimension of scriptures so that from henceforth, you just start moving on that wavelength. It is so sweet. Prophetic scriptures are the most valid. Isaiah 34:16.
Revelation 22:19. The Bible is a book of prophecies. That’s where God speaks to us by His Son. You know the Son is the living Word, so He dwells in the Word. John 1:1-5. He speaks to us from the Word. He appeared on the scene when the widow’s son was going to be buried. Church Gist. He touched the coffin and then life came back. They said a great prophet has risen among us. His Words are prophetic. Matthew 8:13. Please take that from here.
