THERE SHALL BE NO SETBACK YEAR IN YOUR LIFE FROM SHILOH 2020 ONWARDS – Bishop David Oyedepo at CHOP
  • Whatever you define for Shiloh 2020, you will return with it.
  • Preparation is what defines His manifestation in our lives.
  • Give, Give – that’s the prayer of children. The adults will say, “Lord, show me!”

Give God thanks for seeing you and I through January to November ending. Celebrate Him, magnify Him. It’s the doing of the Lord and it is marvellous in our eyes.
Give Him thanks and praise one more time. It’s of the Lord’s mercy that we are not consumed, His compassion fail not. They are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. Give Him thanks and praise. Glorify Him.

GETTING SET FOR TURNAROUND ENCOUNTERS AT SHILOH 2020
Preparation is vital in determining the outcome of any venture. How well prepared we are is what determines the result we obtain.
Preparation is vital in determining our destination. We cannot go any farther in life than we are prepared for it. John the Baptist got prepared behind the scene, he was in the desert building capacity till the day of his showing unto Israel (Luke 1:80). You know what became of that man and his mandate: the whole of Israel gathered to him at Jordan, to be baptized by him. He took the nation by storm, he was prepared for it. He waxed strong in spirit and was in the desert unnoticed until the time of his showing unto Israel.

How well prepared we are as individuals for Shiloh 2020 will determine the outcome. One of the testimonies read this morning: he came in 2013 for a change of story in Shiloh and God changed his story. Came again in 2014 for another change of story with turnaround and God did it.
You only return from the market when you know what you are going there for. If you don’t have anything you are going there for, you’ll just window shop and walk back again tired, nothing to show.
God does not respond to ambiguities, He responds to specifics. Remember the story of Bartimaeus, he said, “have mercy on me.”
Jesus: wait a minute, don’t kill yourself, don’t cut your throat. What exactly do you want?
Bartimaeus: That I may receive my sight
Jesus: You should have said that. ‘Have mercy on me’ can mean give me some money or give me some food. Tell me what you are looking for.

I think it’s important for us to define the kind of turnaround we desire at Shiloh 2020. God responds only to specifics not to ambiguities.
“Anyway, He knows that I am blind”: He doesn’t know; you have not because you ask not.
Tell Him what you want. Don’t ever come to Shiloh casually or you return with nothing. Come determinedly, defining your target in specifics and Jesus will visit you.
Jotham became mighty because he prepared his ways before the Lord His God (2 Chronicles 27:6).
How prepared we are in our engagement in any venture is what determines what we come out with (Isaiah 57:14).
He comes to only the Prepared. Hannah was set to return with her miracle, so she left behind all the members of the family and went before the Lord in the temple; wouldn’t know anyone was passing, she was consumed by her mission.
She came for something, she was all out for it and she returned with it.

  • Whatever you define for Shiloh 2020, you will return with it.
  • Whatever you define specifically as your desired encounters, you will return with it.

I, John was on the Isle of Patmos for the Word from the Lord. He went on a mission and he returned with the result. The Book of Revelation is next to the Book of Genesis where God showed up: that is God unveiling eternal plans.
He went for it, he returned with it (Revelation 1:9).
You have to define what you are coming to Shiloh for.

Years ago, I was out in the US with one mission: ‘whatever made Hagin, Hagin, I wanted it’. I was so consumed by my goal that I can’t remember the name of the hotel that we stayed. I couldn’t tell who sat by my side on the right or the left. My eyes were just…even when writing, I was looking, something must drop and suddenly something electric was fired into my spirit. I began sobbing uncontrollably and the Lord said to me in the midst of the sobbing, “my son David, the baton has been passed on to you.”
Sir, I returned with that baton, the baton is still working today. The Word of Faith has its fountain here among other places on this earth. I went for the baton, I didn’t the name was called baton but I went for the baton and I returned with the baton. When I returned, I could see the spirit of faith rested on me bodily. There was nothing with to believe.

  • Know what you are coming for or you will return with nothing. Just know what you are coming from or you’ll return with nothing.
  • As the Lord lives, you are returning with your desire wholesale!!!

I went to the Mountain and I wanted was, ‘whatever was behind Ezekiel chapter 37: he spoke, there was a noise, a rattling, the bones came together, he beheld skin covered them…’
Jesus: show me the secret behind the ministry of Ezekiel.
You know that kind of question! I was up on the Mountain and by the time I was done, there was no more physical strength than to crawl downwards with my back so that I won’t fall down headlong.
The Lord said to me at the close of that experience, “my son David, behold I have touched your tongue with the coal of fire and from henceforth as you say it, you will see it.”
I went for something, I returned with that thing. It was a lot of hassle, there was no bath in place on that mountain, it was just you and God and the beasts of the forest but God showed up.

  • At Shiloh 2020, your Turnaround God will show up in your life.
  • He will show up with a clear word that a new chapter has opened in your life and so shall it be.
We serve an awesome God but He demands preparation to secure His manifestation. He demands preparation if we must secure his manifestation.
  • You will never be at the same spot again.
  • Turnaround means changing levels continuously. You have gone round that mountain long enough, common on now, TURN Ye northwards (Deuteronomy 2:3).
  • Stagnant waters stink. You are ordained to shine. Turn ye northwards.

God demands preparation from us to secure His manifestation. He prepared those 12 disciples and after he was gone, when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John…they took knowledge of them that they had been with Christ (Mark 3:14).
Preparation is what defines His manifestation in our lives.
‘Give Me, Give Me’ is okay but ‘Show Me, Show Me’ is what changes people’ stories. The Lord will show you the way to go.
…Give, Give – that’s the prayer of children.
The adults will say, “Lord, show me!”
I went to the Mountain asking the Lord to show me the secret of Kingdom Prosperity and I returned with it. I spurned like cocoon, “ye, I can never be poor.” I caught it: 3 days alone.
Shiloh is 6 days: you start on Tuesday, you end on Sunday.

  • Something must happen in your life but define your desires in specific terms.
  • It’s okay to pray, “I want my Samuel, I want my Isaac” but Lord show me the way to commanding turnaround at will the remaining days of my life so you won’t be at the same spot anymore.
  • We will be 40 years in May, we’ve never had a year without something unique. Every year!!!
  • From Shiloh 2020 onwards, there will be no empty year in your life.
  • There shall be no setback year in your life.
  • There is a yearly agenda for a turnaround. You won’t miss your yearly turnaround agenda with God anymore.
  • Something must turn visibly, tangibly in your life, at least once every year.

Receive grace for adequate preparations for the encounters you desire at Shiloh 2020.
It’s your Shiloh of Turnaround Encounters. One Encounter is worth much more than enough, it’s worth much more than a lifetime of efforts.
Ask God for adequate preparation.
You are not appearing at Shiloh, “it is our Church’s programme, we have Shiloh every year abi. You don’t want to go, let’s go now. It’s Shiloh ohhh. We are going to hear quite a number of things there, let’s go.”
“Lord, help me to adequately prepared for what you have in stock for me at Shiloh. Help me to define my targets in specific terms.”
Receive grace for adequate preparation; grace to return with what belongs to you at Shiloh; grace to be free from any air of stagnation forever; grace to encounter God through His Word.
