A NON-PRAYING CHURCH WILL ONLY GATHER CROWD FOR A WHILE! -Bishop David Oyedepo at CHoP

* You may have some entertainment church where people just clap, shout, ‘Yeah Yeah’; then after some time the clap is over.
*Prayer is the spiritual labour room that births souls into the Kingdom
* Many have lost taste for prayers because their prayer life centers only around them.

That good woman in America heard a word at Covenant Hour of Prayer, received the Word and got her testimony. God can speak at any time. Please diligently hearken to His voice that is sounding behind His Word.
It’s when you hear the voice behind His Word that we’ll say that your Word has come; God is saying, “It’s you that I am talking to. You are the one that I am talking to.” That’s what they call ‘Your Word’
Psalm 105:20
Every time you take your Bible to study, listen to the Voice behind the Word.
Anytime you listen to tapes or watch videos, listen to the Voice behind the Word.
That’s what we call ‘Your Word’: the voice behind the Word.
It’s the surest guidance in life: The Voice behind the Word. The Almighty thunders behind the Word (Isaiah 34:16, Psalm 29:3).

PRAYING FOR OTHERS BRINGS US INTO FAVOUR WITH GOD
Galatians 6:2, John 14:21
I will just show up on his matters.
You bear one another’s burden, you are fulfilling the law of Christ and you are provoking His manifestation in your life (Galatians 6:2).
Praying for others brings us into favour with God (Ephesians 6:8).
What you make happen for others, God automatically makes happen for us.

That young lady (documented testimony) began to pray for the needs of others then God opened her understanding, after 12 years of graduation, her life found a new meaning.

What should we pray?
Prayer becomes an exciting adventure when you know what to pray. People think prayer is all about asking God for what you need. You will soon be tired. If all you are doing is eating and eating; you don’t go to the restroom, food lose taste.
Prayer has lost taste to many because all their prayer life center around themselves. Everything they pray is ‘Me, My Family’. Some don’t even pray for their children.
Any life that is self-centered becomes a burden. Everything Me!
That man said I’ve got enough to eat and drink, there was no sign that he got married. Everything was ‘Me, Me, Me.’ God said, “tonight, your soul is required of you.” I can’t leave anyone who lives for himself (Luke 12:20).

We must continue to pray for souls to be saved around us and across our harvest field. I’ll like to define that here that will help us: it is God’s will that we are not only saved but our household (Acts 16:30-31). So, any unsaved soul in your household is a subject of prayer.
You know your household in Africa is not just you and your wife.
You know your household, you should know! All your kinsmen are members of your household. You have enough to pray for.
It’s the will of God that we are not only saved but our household is saved along with us.
Watch, before this month is over, any person on your list for salvation in your household shall be saved. Make a project of it.
There was a lady that gave her life to Christ and the soul winner said, “your house will soon become a house fellowship (centre).
She said: Sir, don’t move near that. My husband is an established Muslim.
The soul winner engaged in 3 days of prayers. The husband said, “I want to follow you to Church today.” That was how the whole household was saved. 3 days and the house became House Fellowship.
That’s the power of prayer in birthing souls into the Kingdom. You don’t wait, you put up a fight to rescue these souls from the end of the wicked.
Acts 10:24 – Kinsmen and near friends. Whatever falls into that category is your project for salvation.
The Holy Ghost got them all saved, baptized in the Holy Ghost and baptized in water. Comprehensive salvation package (Acts 10:44).
We are not praying in the blues: you have individuals that you target as your project for salvation – your household, your kinsmen and your near friends.
We are praying for the salvation of individuals on target. Have an idea.
He said pray for all men (1 Timothy 2:1), but we are breaking it down to what you can tell when your prayer is answered.
1 Timothy 2:4 – we are called to pray.
Prayer is the spiritual labour room that births souls into the Kingdom (Isaiah 66:7-8).
That’s why you can never have a growing church that is not a praying church. You may have some entertainment church where people just clap, shout, ‘Yeah Yeah’; then after some time the clap is over.
A healthy growing church is always a praying church. Any church that is not a praying church is not a growing church. It might gather crowd for a while, but you won’t see them anymore.

I travail to birth them into the Kingdom. I’m travailing to see Christ form in them (Galatians 4:19) “I travail again”: that’s a raw interpretation of Isaiah 66:7-8.
There is no woman that will want to have a child that will refuse to go through the labour room. The labour room is a must to give birth to a child.
The labour room of prayer is a must to birth souls into the Kingdom.
The strong man is the devil, the Greater One lives in us so we are the stronger (Luke 11:21-22).
We come against him (the devil), put up a fight, take away from him the armor which he (devil) trusts and let go his captives. All these individuals are held down by the wicked captor. His name is the devil and we have to break his hold from them so they can be rescued from destruction. That’s why we pray.
We must put up a fight to disarm the enemy and release his captives for salvation.

Doing what God commands at all time will continue to continue to change our levels supernaturally (Luke 19:17,19). When we commit to whatever God commands, He keeps changing our level supernaturally. This is so important.
Let’s stop waiting for souls to be saved, let’s begin to birth souls into the Kingdom through the labour room of prayer and you find your level changing.

Before He ushered us into ‘Wonder Double’ era, He first launched our prayer platform because it is the way it goes. That’s the Biblical sequence, prayer must go before souls are birth. So He launched us into the Covenant Hour of Prayer in March then He came down with the agenda of ‘Wonder Double’ in May; you can tell what is still happening and happening forever because the prayer platform is still alive and working; that’s why we are here this morning.

Our levels will not stop changing until we stop engaging with His commandments. We can’t keep waiting for souls to be saved, we must pray souls into the Kingdom.
We must pray them to the point of establishment in the faith.

The good woman that led me to Christ said to me one day, she said, “David, I am still praying for you.” That’s 51 years ago.
Prayer has tremendous power in keeping people on their feet in the faith.

If I were you to make it real, make a list today of the unsaved among your household: your unsaved son, daughter, cousin, nephew; your kinsmen and near friends, who come to share their heart with you but you have never shared Christ with them.
Make your list and tell Jesus, “let this be part of my breaking limit testimony for the year as you turn these individuals over to you for abundant life, eternity. Jesus, grant me this.”
There is nothing in a message that you don’t act upon (James 1:22).
It’s not enough to hear a very strong message, exhortation; it is important to wake up and take appropriate steps.
None of your family members, household, kinsmen will be found in hell. The grace that found you will be extended to them as you make demand for their salvation in prayers.

Ask God for the Spirit of grace and supplication that will ventilate your prayer life into next levels.
My prayer this morning for all of us is that every name that finds it way on our list shall be delivered. Literate or illiterate; everyone that is connected with us in one way or another, including our near friends shall be saved.

You can tell now that how much you extend your prayer life is what determines how ventilated your prayer life becomes. You are not a ‘needy’, so you can’t keep campaigning around ‘give me butter, give me bread’. These are the things that you do that adds all other things to you (Matthew 6:33).
My prayer is that through you and through your prayer altar, multitudes shall be saved.
