Genesis 12:1-3
This Month, we have been talking about Blessed Fruits, we hear of generational curses, there is also generational blessings.
I pray for everyone of you, your generation will be blessed.
There is also generational prosperity, when you look at the prosperity and blessings of Israel today, it is recorded that about 70% of the richest people in America are Jews, their blessings began with one man Abraham in the text we read. This blessing overflowed from the father to the son. Genesis 22:15-18
According to Genesis 23:24-35, God blessed Abraham greatly and by the time you get to Genesis 26:12-14, He blessed Isaac very greatly. When you get to Genesis 28:10-19, God repeated the blessing that He gave to Abraham to his grandson, Jacob. As a result of which, in Genesis 30:40-43, Jacob became exceedingly eealthy.
My prayer for everyone of you is that you will be greatly blessed, your children will be very greatly blessed, your grandchildren will be exceedingly blessed.
It all started with Abraham, a devoted father, a man who according to Genesis 14:18-20, started paying tithe long before Moses was born. Abraham had been paying tithe before law began.
According to Genesis 22:1-14 Abraham had proved to God that he was willing to make a first fruit sacrifice. He had been doing this before Solomon wrote Proverbs 3:9-10. Abraham, the man who started the blessings of Israel proved by his actions that he was an addicted worshipper of God.
In Genesis 12:7, he built an altar.
In Genesis 11:8, he built another altar.
In Genesis 12:18, he built another altar,
Genesis 22:9, everywhere he went to, he built an altar, he proved to God that he will serve him. That is why God blessed him, his children, grandchildren and went on and on.
What I am trying to tell you this morning is that the future prosperity of your children is in your hands. Proverbs 13:22
A sinner who is laying up wealth is not laying up for his children but will be taken away from him. What will happen to your children and your childrens children, are they going to be greater than you? The decision is in your hands.
In every great family of the world, you will find out that there is a man who started the blessing. My prayer today is that you will start the blessing in your generation.
If He says the blessings of sinners is laid up for the just, this means that if you acquire wealth living in sin, it is not going to last because God will take it and give it to someone, somewhere who will do His will.
If you are here this morning and you have not yet given your life to God, you better come and surrender your life to Jesus Christ.
- This morning, we will ask the Almighty God to bless us and bless our generations from now on.
- Ask God for something special on this Easter Monday, something special that you will never forget.
Thank you Lord!
Lay your hands on your children Lord, let your anointing flow through them and solve their problems.
Today, before the sun sets, grant our request and wipe away our tears.
