Father Lord, we thank You for this great opportunity we have to be in your presence this great privilege. Father, we give you all the glory. Father, o Lord Jesus that You speak to us again this morning. I ask that you touch my tongue and make it like the pen of a ready writer, You communicate your mind to your people, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Thank You mighty God because You have heard us. To You alone be all the glory in Jesus precious name.
I want to appreciate God and His servant for this privilege I have to stand on this exalted altar, to share the Word of God. Someone here is leaving with a testimony. If you are the one, your Amen can be louder than that.
My exhortation line this week has been:
TURN YOUR CONCERNS TO THANKSGIVING AND GOD WILL TURN THEM TO TESTIMONIES
God spoke through His servant about a week and a half ago, gave this prophetic alert, “turn all your bugging issues into thanksgiving and I God will turn them into testimonies.”
-For someone here that shall be your testimony.
But the big question is Why do we need to turn our bugging issues into thanksgiving?
1 Thessalonians 5:18
The Bible says, “in everything, give thanks.”
In how many things? In everything.
When He says in everything, He means in season and out of season, in good season, in bad season, give God thanks because it is your thanksgiving that will maintain the good season, it is your thanksgiving that will change the bad season to a good season.
-For someone here, in everything you shall continue to give thanks and God’s Word tells us in Hebrews 10:36, “you have need of patience that after you have done that will of God, in giving God thanks, you might receive the promises of God.”
-Every one promise of God to you this year shall surely come to pass.
-You shall see supernatural turnaround
But He gives us a key, He say, “we have to give God thanks.”
The question again is why do we need to give God thanks?
One major reason from scriptures that we find, why we give God thanks at all times is found in Psalm chapter 95 verses 1 to 2
Psalm 100:4
Every time that we thank God, we provoke the manifest presence of God. The Bible says, “let us come before His presence”, but the truth is this, every time that we thank God, God begins to look for who is thanking Him. Church Gist. Every time we are appreciative to God, both for the things God has done and for the things that He is about to do, you attract the attention of the most High. Nothing attracts God’s attention like your thanksgiving and praise. That is why God is speaking to us, He said, “Turn all those bugging issues to testimonies and suddenly my Presence will appear” (Psalm 95:2).
Please take note, beloved, there is nothing delights God like your thanksgiving.
Psalm 69:30-31
There are things that you do that causes God to appear in your situation instantly. One of such things is your thanksgiving.
-Beginning from today, you shall become a thanksgiver.
“This also shall please the Lord” (Psalm 69:31)
-For someone here under the sound of my voice, from now, you shall be pleasing God.
God’s Word makes us understand that murmuring and complaining never please God, rather they turn Him off (1 Corinthians 10:10). Murmuring and complains turn God off but when we thank God, God is attracted.
-There someone here today, beginning from now, you shall be attracting God.
Psalm 33:1
The word ‘comely’ in scriptures simply means beautiful. Church Gist. Whenever you are giving God thanks and praise, you begin to change into someone so beautiful that God cannot take His eyes off you.
-There is someone here today, beginning from now, God’s eyes shall be fixed on you.
Praise is comely to the upright.
Psalm 147:1
Praise is comely, praise is beautiful, praise attracts God’s attention and that is what is happening to you from today, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Please take note of this
As you turn those your concerns to thanksgiving, suddenly, they shall be turned to testimonies. Right from Monday, we have been looking at specific people that turned their concerns into thanksgiving and things changed.
Abraham: He turned all his concerns into thanksgiving and suddenly the supernatural began.
We have seen Jehoshaphat, he turned his concern of 3 nations coming to destroy him and Judah and Jerusalem; suddenly the battled changed.
We have seen the story of Paul and Silas: as they prayed and sang praises, then suddenly there was an earthquake and things turned around (Acts 16:25-26).
-For someone here today, your own supernatural turnaround is beginning today.
Today we are considering the wall of Jericho.
-No matter the impossible situations around your life, as you give God thanks in this season, I see something changing around your life.
Joshua 6:15-20
-There is someone here, that city, God shall put it in your hands. No matter how impossible it seems.
As at the time they were going round the wall of Jericho, it was the most fortified city in the whole world. It seemed like an impossibility to enter into Jericho, God said, “just go round 6 times. On the 7th day, go round 7 times. Then when you are instructed, blow with the trumpet. Give the Lord a shout and then suddenly something would happen.”
-There is someone here under the sound of my voice, at the confrontation with that situation, you shall be giving God a shout.
Can someone give God a shout!
As you give God that shout, every single satanic force hanging around you, every single issue of your life that has been bugging your life, they shall be coming down.
One thing that you must constantly do: always give God a shout. Always give God praise, give God thanks in the midst of that situation and then suddenly something turns around for you.
The Bible says in verse 20, “so the people shouted with a great shout…” (Joshua 6:20)
-For each and every one person here, I don’t know what wall has been standing between you and your breakthrough, that wall is falling down flat.
-This season will not come to an end, this prophetic alert will not come to an end, you are receiving your own breakthrough.
And every man straight before him, they took the city: they took their Breakthrough, they took their Finances, they took their Miracle Marriage, they took their Healing, they took their Favour, they took their Business.
-There is someone here, you are taking what belongs to you.
How did they do it? Every time that we thank God as we mentioned earlier, the presence of God comes down.
Listen to me, God’s servant, Bishop Abioye said once, he said, “when you pray, it is singular. When you praise it is plural.” Every time that you pray, God will send His angel, but when you pray, God comes down Himself.
-There is someone here, God will come down Himself into your situation
Daniel 10:13 – We are made to understand that Daniel prayed and fasted 21 days. An angel came, the angel was stopped by the prince of Persia. But listen to me, when we praise God, God comes down Himself, nothing can stop God.
-I see someone here, God is stepping Himself into your situation.
When God steps in, He maketh the impossible become possible. He maketh the unchangeable to become supernaturally changeable.
-There is someone here, I see something around you is turning already.
God did it for Abraham, their situation was impossible, it was like they will never have children. Impossible situation.
-I see someone here under the sound of my voice, that same impossible situation, the one you have been weeping about, beginning from now, you will be shouting about them.
-You will be shouting about them.
If you are the one, I am talking about, stand to your feet and give the Lord a shout. Give Him the loudest shout.
-All those walls of Jericho are coming down.
Prayer: begin to receive grace for gratitude. Father from today, my heart is filled with gratitude, I shall be giving you thanks and Father Lord, You shall be changing my story. Every impossibility is becoming a cheap possibility. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we have prayed.
