2nd Timothy 3:3-5
One of the required graces is the grace for steadfastness, continuity.
1 Corinthians 15:58
When it comes to our walk with God, Job was a man that feared God.
Job 2:7
Calamity after calamity but Job never shifted his ground with God and as a result of that the blessings of God showed up on his behalf. Church Gist.
- I see God’s blessings showing up on your behalf in Jesus name.
You find Job for years standing with God.
Job 13 :15
There was no challenge that was sufficient to make him waiver.
There are many Christians who would murmur when they go through challenges of life.
For everyone to work with God you must be consistent. Church Gist.
Job 42:10
There is no man that doesn’t stay with God and stays long with God.
Stay committed to God.
Job stood and refused to shift his ground.
Job stood with God for years. Church Gist.
Daniel started and stayed with God till the end.
Daniel 1:8
Daniel and his friends were not the only Israelites that were in Babylon but they stood for God.
Daniel 2:16-19
God made him and his friends ten times better.
Daniel 6:28
Daniel prospered not only in Nebuchadnezzer’s reign, he prospered in the reign of Darius, prospered in the reign of Syrus and prospered in the reign of the son of Nebuchadnezzer.He reigned under four regimes. We’re not talking about democratic governments we’re talking about Kings. A king cannot be removed until he dies. So king one to four lived and died but Daniel remained. Church Gist.
*May grace come upon you to stay in the the cause in our commitment to God.
The tale of Asa.
Asa was a revivalist king.
2nd Chronicles 6:15
Asa led the revival of Judah and as a result of that God gave them rest round about. The Bible tells us in verse 19 that there was no more war until the final reign of Asa. So Asa stayed committed to God but somewhere along the line there was a draw back. Church Gist.
2nd Chronicles 16:9
Asa had drawn back. His heart was diagnosed by God and as a result of that everything turned around in the negative.
In verse 12 and 13 he died because of a disease in his feet. He didn’t even turn to God and would have been one of the greatest kings in Israel but lost his place on the basis of a broken commitment to God. Please hear this the value of each one of our destiny is the product of the sustainance of our stewwardship. How long and consistently you serve God determines how high you fly in life. Continuity is the rule of the game. But take note for you and I to continue we need grace. Grace is the viral requirement to continue in our stewwardship.
Hebrews 4:16
There are many people who start with energy. They pursue at the beginning but after a while you see them drawing back. You see some who where on fire but after a while you see them beginning to draw back. Not everybody who was on fire in 2015 is on fire now. There are many who have already drowned out. There are many discouragers of others who ask you ‘are you going again?’
- I see grace coming upon each one of us this morning to sustain our fire till the end in the name of Jesus Christ. Church Gist. That is what it takes so you and I must position ourselves for grace.
