THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO SIT BESIDE EACH OTHER IN CHURCH BUT DON’T GREET.
THERE ARE CHURCH DEPARTMENTS IN CONFRONTATION WITH EACH OTHER.
SOME CHRISTIANS THINK THEIR PASTOR AND ANOTHER PASTOR ARE IN CONTENTION.
THE STRIFE IN THE CHURCH HAS LED TO MUCH SCARCITY IN THE MOVE OF GOD TODAY.
I LEFT A MEETING HELD BY FELLOW PASTORS WHEN SOMEONE RAISED A POINT THAT TALKED ABOUT OTHER PASTORS.
THE LOVE OF GOD IS THE DRIVING FORCE FOR THE ACTS OF GOD.
IT IS BETTER TO CONFESS AND CONFRONT YOUR SIN THAN TO EXCUSE YOUR SIN.

WHEN A MAN APPRECIATES THAT GOD IS NOT HIS COLLEAGUE OR AGE MATE, VALUE FOR GOD IS MASSIVE AND YOU CAN SENSE REVIVAL
WHEN THERE IS ZEAL AND PASSION TO EVANGELIZE NATURALLY, FAST, WORSHIP, STUDY THE WORD AND PRAY EFFORTLESSLY AND ENDLESSLY THEN THERE IS REVIVAL
IN THE WESTERN WORLD EVERYBODY IS FOCUSED ON THEMSELVES. A WOMAN WAS STABBED 34 TIMES AND NEIGHBOURS WERE JUST WATCHING AFAR OFF. WHEN YOU DON’T SEE SOMEONE IN CHURCH AND YOU ARE GENUINELY CONCERNED THEN REVIVAL WILL HAPPEN AGAIN
– Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche on “CAUSES OF REVIVAL LOSS (2)” || New York Apostolic Invasion – Day 3 (Morning Session) || New York, USA.
We began seeing “CAUSES OF REVIVAL LOSS” – the things that cause revival to be lost. We began to see that in most places of the earth where God had moved before, the time comes where the move stops, what are the things that makes moves to end?
1. We said, when we stop the spiritual exercises that brought us into revival, when we stop paying the price that give rise to revival
2. We said, when activity for God replaces intimacy with God. Church Gist. When we become more interested in the work of God than in walk with God, it seizes
3. When what began in the spirit is being perfected in the flesh. Church Gist. When we begin to attempt to do in the energy of the flesh, what can only be done in the power of the spirit, the revival seizes.
4. When we decide to settle around particular manifestations of God and assume that nothing can be better than this, meanwhile God is too big to run out of new things. We said that yesterday. It causes revival to stop.
5. When the glory of God is diverted to man. When the man of God becomes visible than the God of the man. Church Gist. When the man of God is getting more celebrated than the God of the acts, then it is time for revival to end. When man is increasing and God is decreasing. Unlike what John the Baptist, “I must decrease and He must increase”, but in this case, God is decreasing and man is increasing. Then it is time for God to summarize the revival.
6. When evangelism and discipleship are not the focus of revival, the revival will have no future.
It was Oswald J. Smith who said, “the sole purpose of the Church is evangelization of the lost”. Matthew 28:18-20. Revival stops when people decide to settle around the move of God for personal comfort and excitement; for a feel-good gathering instead of regional, national or generational impact, they settle, they come to Church and see things, we make ourselves happy. Church Gist. The Holy Ghost told me sometime ago, He said “God will not send His son Jesus Christ to die just to give somebody a profession”. Church Gist. No, just to give somebody a profession, “I’m a Clergyman, a Pastor or a Reverend”, that is not possible. Just in order to make someone feel good, no, it’s far beyond that. It’s the rescue of a generation from the flames of hell. When revival does not translate into evangelism, discipleship and raising of people, that revival comes to an end.
There was a massive Healing Revival in America and we thank God for all the great men that were used then. Church Gist. There were 120 Healing Evangelists in the voice of Healing campaigns, I’m not sure that up to 5 of them went to the world with the fire that was burning in America then. I know that T. L. Osborne was the first one to popularize open air crusade around the world and a few of them went but that revival was so massive in America and literally faded after a while. Church Gist. Revival ends when it doesn’t translate into evangelism.
On the 6th of December, I believe, of 1941 when America was introduced into the second World War by the bombing of Pearl Harbour by Japan. Church Gist. Japan was very brutal in the second World War, literally crippled the Philippines and was a threat to everybody. In that period, America sent out a 4-star General by the name of General Douglas MacArthur, who went into Japan. Church Gist. His father was a 4-star General too. He was a born again child of God, he carried fire in his bones. He arrived Japan and bowed Japan, he disciplined Japan and brought Japan to its knees and freed the Philippines. When Japan saw how powerful this man was, they almost worshiped God. Everything, everywhere he went, whatever he said was law. Church Gist. General Douglas MacArthur, he introduced Japan to civilization. He introduced the modern technology, he imported from America and Japan became second to America then in terms of technology. General Douglas MacArthur sent back to the Pentecostals and Evangelicals in America, he said, “Japan is in my hands, send me missionaries and I will give you a Christian Japan”, nobody responded, no missionaries, no major missions, no response. Church Gist. At that time, I believe that Japan was like 3 percent Christian and 97 percent Buddhists, today, the percentage has not changed, today, the percentage is almost worse. Maybe it’s 1 percent Christian now. Church Gist. You know that the Healing Revival came in the middle of the second World War and after that. So, revival ends when mission, evangelism and discipleship is not the focus.
As I’m speaking to you now, I’m giving you a challenge because the earth is still waiting. I told you yesterday that I didn’t come here because we are looking for crowd to preach to, that’s the truth and this is in all humility. Church Gist. We came here because the wells of revival must be redug in America, we came here because the labours of Charles G. Finney, D. L. Moody cannot be in vain; the labours of Billy Graham, Billy Sunday cannot be in vain. We didn’t come because we are looking for who to preach to, we could remain there (Glory Dome), Sunday upon Sunday. Church Gist. Apart from this (Glory Dome), there are hundreds others within the same city running multiple services but if Jesus remained with the Father, nobody would be saved. If He continued to enjoy the fellowship of the Father and the Holy Spirit, nobody will be saved. Church Gist. The purpose, don’t ever forget it, if God begins to move upon your life, your ministry and your family, just ensure that it is extended to somebody. Just ensure that it touches a person, a family, a community, a state, a nation, it just goes beyond where you are.
Revival usually will end if the same group of people gather together to themselves and do the same old things and there’s not a sinner who came for the altar call, in fact there are some meetings where there’s no altar call, nobody was expected to be saved. Church Gist. “Just entertain ourselves, make ourselves to feel happy and then just return back to the same happiness service”, no, that’s not the aim. It (revival) ends when it is localized instead of being globalized.
Last month, we had over 50-something countries that visited in the month of August to the Glory Dome to come to attend Sunday service and other weekly services. Church Gist. Some stay for 2-5 weeks to catch fire and take the fire back to their nation, cities and Communities. The other year, we had about a 100 countries where people came from to worship. If it doesn’t affect any other person, it’s an irrelevant revival, it’s an inconsequential revival. It’s not worth being called a revival.
If you leave here today, don’t forget the story I just told you. Church Gist. I first heard it from God’s Servant, Morris Cerullo, the issue of Douglas MacArthur, very painful, very sorrowful. When Evangelism are not the focus of revival it will end.
7. When love is lacking and strife and envy begin to reign, revival will end.
Listen to this, the love of God is the driving force for the acts of God. God works because He is love, the love of God drives the acts of God and He being moved with compassion, He touched them. 1 John 4:8. And I want to say this and you don’t forget it for life. John 3:16. Anywhere you want to find God release love, you want to find God at work in your life just release love. John 3:16. James 3:16. Do you want God to work? Release love! Do you want satan to work? Release strife, release hate, release bitterness. The reason why there was so much power in the early Church, they had all things in common until a time came when some said: ‘I am of Apollos’, another one said: ‘I am of Paul’, then the other said: ‘I am of Christ’. At that point, the move began to go down. Do you know why there is so much scarcity of the move of God today? There is so much strife in the Church. Within the Local Church itself, there are people who sit by each other who don’t greet, they don’t exchange any pleasantry. Church Gist. He sat in Church and he doesn’t care what is the name of the other person, he doesn’t care who the person is. There are departments of the Church that are in confrontation: ‘Are you trying to take my job? Are you trying to take my assignment? There are members of this Church versus the members of that Church, this Church thinks that their Pastor is in competition with that Pastor. ‘Where do you go to Church? Is that Church? Okay! God bless you’! And even Pastors, among Pastors. Where are we going? What do you want to achieve? The other day I was in the aircraft with one of our Pastors from Nigeria, I hadn’t seen him for a long time and we just embraced and hugged, I was just rubbing his back -It’s a long time! Many people who saw it said they have never seen such a thing before, that is an incrimination. ‘I’ve never seen Pastors at that level see each other embraced’. He said: ‘Men hardly hug’, somebody put the comment and now here you see a man hugging another for 3 minutes. Yes! For me, that is normal, it is natural, it flows effortlessly. You’ve seen some of it here just now. See the two children of that woman with autism, I pecked their heads. Do you understand what I am talking about? This is a major reason why.
Now, you may say but what do I do? Just open up your heart and avoid any trace of strife, avoid any trace of envy, avoid any trace of bitterness. They may strive against you but don’t strive against them, they may work against you but don’t work against them, they may hate you but don’t hate them. Just face your life, face your assignment, face your calling. One day, some Pastors called me and they said: ‘We are like maybe contemporaries or let’s iron sharpen iron, let’s come and have fellowship together’ and so they had a meeting and then the first meeting we went for, when I sat down somebody raised a point and that point was about a Pastor, a big Pastor: ‘Oh! No! That one has so much money that’s why he’s having the kind of result he is having, if I had the same money I would have the same result too’. Church Gist. Before you knew it another point, another person. You know what I did? I just carried my bag, you are in the wrong place, I don’t belong here. This is not how I function to be where I am, I can’t function like this to be here. That was the first time I went there, that was the last time I went there. Are you hearing what I’m saying here? If you want to guard your destiny, jealously guard your heart. What is not your intention must never command your attention, never give you attention to what is not a part of your intention. If it is not in your vision, don’t let it have an invasion into your life. Just make up your mind: ‘I’m not going to do anything in life to create any impression, I don’t want to impress you I want to give expression to what God put inside me and what He wants me to do with my life and how He wants me to fulfill my destiny and impact my generation for the Kingdom of God.
8. When sin, iniquity is allowed to flourish unchecked.
Sin is always the enemy of the glory. 🎶 Who is like unto Thee oh Lord! Who is like unto Thee, amongst the gods who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises… 🎶 If you give Him holiness, he will give you glory. Exodus 15:11. And we fall short of glory when we allow sin. Church Gist. Let me say this to you, you may not be perfect but you must be brutally sincere with God. The disciples weren’t perfect – Peter, James, John, all of them. One cut off the ear of someone, one sold Him another one denied Him another one doubted Him but they had no life that was hidden from Him. It is better to confess and confront your sin than to excuse your sin. There is a gospel in America that is gaining news in the world, it is that extreme grace, shey you know what I’m talking about? Very very strange that you can do anything you want for as long as you can come to God. In fact there was a guy who was preaching and said: ‘Oh! You don’t even need to confess, you don’t need to do anything, just forget’.
I’m sorry to use the word: You know what you guys call ‘hogwash’? Terrible! I’m tempted to tell the guy who preached and I asked him. This guy, abused your wife and you are the preacher of the grace right, you say: ‘Okay! Is that what he did’? Congratulations! (Laughing). Alright I know, grace covers that, don’t worry! How many more times do you want to do something like that’? It’s covered by grace! No! He can take his gun, he may do anything’. That’s how ridiculous that is to anybody including to God. Do you understand what I mean? That’s as simple as it is. No! The grace of God according to Titus 2:11-2, it teaches us to deny ungodliness, it just empowers you to say no. What you couldn’t have said no to before the grace says no. And if for any reason at all you fell short of expectation you come before our merciful God and you let Him know: ‘Oh Lord! I just fell short of expectation, I have done what I’m not meant to do, have mercy on me, give me the grace to stand next time, give me the grace to say no and I’m sorry’. Church Gist. And He will say to you: ‘Go and sin no more, don’t do it again just don’t do it again’. He didn’t say: ‘Go and sin as much as you can’ because something covers it. Do you understand what I’m talking about? It is easier and neater that way to come before God and say: ‘Look! This is it but I need power to stand and not sink in this thing’. And He will empower you. So when next somebody tells you about that kind of thing, give them that illustration (Laughing). He says: ‘Won’t you be cool? It’s normal that is not an issue, it’s covered by grace’. Amen!
Finally, what are the signs of true Revival and the secrets of true Revival? I preached twice on this in Houston and also in the last Ministers’ conference in Nigeria but the Lord seems to be giving me some fresh light in this.
1. Increased awareness and consciousness of the spiritual.
When revival happens, people become more conscious of spiritual matters and more aware. Church Gist. It is a season of increased awareness and increased consciousness. You look at the Acts of Apostles, you see all of that.
2. Increased value and honour for God.
The value for God increases, honour for God increases. In those days when people came for altar call, they are coming out in tears and going on their knees on the altar, they are lying prostrate, that is in the heat of revival. In some places, people come for the altar call like they are doing God, the Church or the Pastor a favour. Church Gist. Value is zero, honour is zero. He’s coming for the altar call, hand in pocket, chewing gum. Heightened value and honour for God, where the man knows that “this is my Maker and my Creator, He’s not my contemporary, colleague or agemate” and the honour and value for God is massive, you can sense that revival is here.
3. Increased fear and reverence.
People don’t take God for granted, there’s such a fear and Holy reverence for God. Church Gist. Where it appears like if you shift in certain services, you’re going to bump into God.
4. Increased zeal, passion and enthusiasm for Kingdom service.
Where people, you don’t beg them to serve God. I congratulate you all, this is 7 hours in His presence. Church Gist. We didn’t serve coffee, tea or anything and you’re here for 7 hours. I’m sure when next we come, we might try 12 hours. It’s zeal and passion and enthusiasm. You evangelize naturally, fast effortlessly, worship effortlessly, study the Word effortlessly, you pray like you drink water, effortlessly and endlessly. Church Gist. The Bible said, “thy people shall be willing in the day of your power!”
5. Increase in love and unity among the brethren.
Seasons of revival are seasons where care is increased. Seasons of revivals are seasons of the authenticity of Christianity. Church Gist. What Christianity is all about, where the brother is concerned about the brother and sister is concerned about the sister, somebody is concerned about somebody. They’re not in Church and you don’t go to sleep, you want to find out why they’re not there. Authenticity of Christianity.
You know, in our civilized and Western world today, people just move their way, somebody had a flat tyre on the road, nobody cares. Church Gist I heard of a particular lady in a particular neighbourhood, an assailant stabbed her to death almost 34 times with neighbours standing afar watching. Where nobody will say, “what’s going on there? Who is hurting that person?”, that is what the civilized world has turned into. Everybody to themselves. Church Gist. Today, you have a man and his wife inside the same car and this one is to his phone and the other one is to her phone and they are driving for 3-4 hours and there’s no communication at all. We are living in a world where people are now focused on themselves and self has almost become God. Church Gist. But, when revival happens, there is, you’re interested, I am interested in you; you care about my welfare, I care about your welfare. If you’re not smiling, I won’t just walk past. Joseph in the prison, he told the butler and the Baker, “your countenances are looking sad, is something wrong? Is there somewhere I can help?” That is what Spirituality is all about. Church Gist. “Dear sister, are you okay? Are you alright? Is there any way I can help? You’re looking sad and depressed, is there something you want me to pray with you about? Should I agree with you on something? I may not be able to do much but I can pray with you”.
– Beloved brothers and sisters, I see those days coming again.
– everyone seated here today and those watching via the satellite and the internet, I see a revival of love and unity happening in the Church again!
– look at your neighbour, say, “you matter to me. I care about your welfare”.
– prophesy to someone, say, “it’s well with you. The devil cannot have you. The purpose of God shall be fulfilled in your life!”
6. There is increase in the outpouring of the spirit.
The outpouring or the spirit happens with ease. The power of the spirit manifesting in diverse ways. I want to make a clear distinction, not just among the Clergy, the manifestation of the gifts of the spirit – the word of knowledge, wisdom, discerning of spirit, working of miracle- working faith – it will happen effortlessly. Church Gist. We have heard many testimonies of the dead being raised in our Church and I can tell you that 90 percent of those testimonies happened with members of the Church whose loved one passed and then they carried out certain actions based on what they heard and the healings took place, resurrection happened. In this season, in the explosion of revival, housewives, college students, highschool students in various places of their endeavour, they will walk around an insane person, lay the hands and check out the devil. Church Gist. It’s an explosion of power where people are not just looking for the Pastor to do everything for them. The Pastor will equip them, charge them up, enfire them and empower them because they go where the Pastor will not go and they will deal with issues that the Pastor will never meet. Church Gist. The Pastor does not go to the classroom or go to the physical workplace most times, the Pastor is not in many places but these people are the extensions of the Pastoral and Apostolic mantles.
– if you believe you’re a part of that, shout a loud Amen.
7. Increase in positive Kingdom news.
The situation where the Kingdom of God is making news. You know today, the news of the devil and what the devil is doing seems to be overwhelming whatever God is doing. Do you confirm that? That, in most quarters, whether it is terrorist attacks, whether it is gay, whatever agenda, whether it is secular humanists you look at all of that and it looked like the devil seems to be making more news but in the midst of revival there is no devil that can claim ignorance of what God is doing. Church Gist. Positive Kingdom news, news of whole cities taken over by God, news of whole factories and industries, establishments taken over by God. In the days of the Wales Revival, miracles made newspaper news, news headlines, we are coming back to those days again. Even though most of the media today seem to be in covenant with the devil yet they are coming to the point where they would be forced to acknowledge certain manifestations, they will acknowledge it because everybody is talking about it and if they don’t do anything about it they would be relegated, they would be outdated. So in order to belong, we have heard such testimonies before where some of those they call bloggers and all of that have to report what became very viral. Am I communicating at all? Positive Kingdom news.

8. Increase in multitudes pulled.
In seasons of revival, the pull of multitudes is effortless. When the House is on fire, you don’t distribute handbills for Fire Service to arrive, they just arrive. Church Gist. And some good intention neighbours might arrive too to try to see what’s going on (Laughing). When the Church is on fire, you don’t struggle for the pull. In Acts of the Apostles, it was noised abroad and the crowd arrived.
9. Increase in genuine notable Salvations and transformations.
When known people, known in the society are arrested in the seasons of revival. Simon the sorcerer was arrested in the revival in Samaria by Philip. Church Gist. Susanna the wife of Herod was one of those that was discipled by the Master and then the billionaire Joseph of Arimathea was one of Jesus’ disciples, he was the one that went to Pilate and demanded for the body of Jesus. In seasons of revival, people that are kingpins, key influencers, people whose Salvation may occasion the Salvation of a community, may occasion the Salvation of an organization such people are arrested by the power of God.
-And I prophesy, that is happening for somebody here.
10. Increase in the voice and the authority of the Church.
When revival happens, the voice of the Church and the authority of the Church moves to another level. The Queen Mary of Scotland she said: ‘I fear the prayer of John Knox more than the Armies of Europe put together’. When revival happens, the Church becomes an authority. Church Gist. Government cannot say: ‘What do they think they are saying’? No!! They’ve got what to say because there is so much power. See, secular power must always bow to spiritual power, natural power, political power will always bow for spiritual power. You know when Joseph took his father Jacob to Pharaoh, Jacob knew he was higher than Pharaoh and stretched his hand and said: ‘Kneel down, let me bless you’ and the Bible says: ‘And Jacob blessed Pharaoh’. It is those who don’t understand that follow political officers as if they are on a higher level. Jacob knew who he was and he blessed Pharaoh.
But if I’m going to say anything, In case you are interested in what God wants to do with your generation the starting point is a genuine concern for the state of the land, genuine burden! It pains you, it troubles you that the nation is like this. You know? God does not only hear our prayers, He hears our burden, He hears our thinking. Ephesians 3:20. He hears our concerns, that is the starting point. ‘Give me Scotland or I die’! Genuine burden, genuine concern! ‘Lord I can’t be in my generation and it remains like this, I can’t leave my generation the way I met it, this is not what our fathers handed over to us’.
-Father, I receive this burden and I run with this mantle. I apply for the burden and I apply for the mantle.
