Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC) is a Pentecostal Church in Lagos, with a mission to changing the lives of people and bringing them closer to Christ through a series of impactful and transformational encounters. It has been described as a place with a unique ambience and aura of togetherness that creates an unforgettable experience with God. It is one of Lagos’ fastest growing churches, attracting thousands of young people to its services.
Harvesters International Christian Centre started on the 13th of December, 2003, with a divine vision given to the Lead Pastor, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, who started his ministry as an Accounting undergraduate at the University of Lagos. It started with just a room of people but has now grown into a desirable area of worship in Lagos with worship centres at Ikeja, Lekki, Gbagada and Anthony, drawing in thousands of people at 5 amazing services. It also boasts of a strong cell system which puts people into small groups so that every member is recognised and their needs met.
Asides focusing on the spiritual development of its members, they have built a name for sponsoring the education of their members through the HICC Scholarship Program. This Program serves to cushion the effect of the cost of Education by providing successful Candidates with N100,000 One-Off Scholarship to returning undergraduates. Also, through the Harvesters Skill Acquisition Programme (HSAP), held every quarter in the last three years, over 7,000 persons have been trained, with hundreds becoming employers of labour.
With their strong presence both online, especially through the Resurge app, a daily Devotional app by Harvesters International Christian Centre designed for Revival and Spiritual Renewal and onsite at their various centres, HICC has continued to wax stronger and stronger. The church of God keeps marching on and the gates of help shall never prevail over it.
