Fashion Friday Fashion: Tips For Christmas

Christmas day is always an eventful day for everyone, there’s preparation from house keeping, to hair styling and new clothing for adults and especially children. During this season, there’s a lot of visitations that goes on and since we may often be around people, it is advisable to wear comfy clothes.

Here is what few fashion designers have to say about dressing for the season:

“Everybody has their own personal style. Wear breathable clothes; clothes you are comfortable in. As much as you have your personal style, if you are trying to be extra, don’t overdo it.” – Uche Dandison

“Look decent because Christmas is not all about showing your entire body outside. Celebrate in a decent way, look unique and gorgeous. Don’t look too casual but don’t look rascal. Just simple. Beyond what you are putting on, your smiles should compliment what you are wearing.” – Peace Clement

There is wisdom is not being too extra, there would be a whole lot of sight seeing on this day, you don’t want to be another sight to see – a negative one, don’t want to call unnecessary attention to yourself. We also asked a fashion enthusiast what makes her comfortable and what she would rather wear or advice someone to wear during the festive season and she said:

“Someone like me, I love to dress simple but classy. Look good, be comfortable in what you are wearing during this festive period. Don’t inconvenience people as well as yourself due to what you are wearing. You are going to hug people and you don’t want to prick them with your material. It is not a ghetto saga or traditional festival. So just be simple, classy and comfortable.” – Esther Clement

There’s emphasis on being comfortable and beyond the dressing, is the smile you wear. A beautiful clothe on an unhappy person deems the beauty of his or her appearance so try as much as possible to stay happy and in a festive mood this season. Do not worry too much about provision during this period, trust God to never leave your barn empty. Remember that Christ is the reason for which we celebrate. His coming brings good tidings.

“So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine”. Proverbs 3:10.

“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”. Psalms 37:4.

We hope this Scriptures make you glow as you appear fashionably on this day. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
