1st CORINTHIANS 6:17
Partnership involves two or more people bound together to achieve the same objective, purpose or vision. It means being a partaker of the heavenly agenda. It is fellowship and participating with God to fulfill His agenda on the earth. It means what concerns God, concerns you.
Partnership is also known as oneness. 1st Corinthians 6:17
In the Kingdom, God does not want us to walk and work in isolation. We must partner with others to achieve things. Through partnership, goals are easily achieved. Two or more are better than one. One will chase a thousand while two will chase ten thousand. Deuteronomy 32:30, Amos 3:3. E.g Jesus could not come to earth alone, he needed to partner with man to come to the earth through Mary and Joseph. God partnered with Abraham to reach the whole world.
It is one thing to be a partner with Christ but are you a devoted partner? Devoted partnership is a loyal, faithful, loving and disciplined partnership. It is having a Kingdom mentality to do what God has sent us to do. It is an unconditional affection for God, His Kingdom and people, a disciplined habitual practice of generosity and faithful act of kindness towards God’s people. John 2:17, Romans 5:5, Psalm 69:9, Luke 16:9.
Partnership between men and men and men and God. You must be in a devoted partnership with God before you get into partnership with men.
Partnership brings you to a position of brokenness and makes you humble yourself. It makes you accountable to whoever you are partnering with. If you are a devoted partner with God, you are accountable to God and cannot act in your own accord.
There are three kinds of partnership:
1) Intercession – This is standing in the gap for others through prayers. Great things happen through intercession. Through intercession, you become a partaker of the blessings of those you are interceding for.
2) Participation: This is stewardship. Taking part in activities that concerns God’s Kingdom so that souls can be won and God can be glorified.
3) Generousity/Giving: This is partnering with the Gospel with your money, materials, time and energy.
As believers, we give primarily to worship.You give to men, give to the less privileged and give to God. Psalms 41:1.
Giving evokes the translation of things from heavenly places to earthly places. Proverbs 11:24.
Giving pleases God. God changed his mind about destroying the earth because of the offering of Noah. It is important to sow seeds to men and God. Seed sown has eternal value. Those who eat their seeds are indirectly collapsing their future.. Psalm 126:5-6.
Giving attracts God’s blessings. It is an opportunity to change your level. Proverbs 18:16. The Shaunamite woman, the widow of Zarephath and the Macedonian Church gave bountifully. They understood generosity and were blessed for it.
