Luke 22:31
*Faith is such a critical necessity to a child of God, so it must be kept healthy and alive at all times and at all cost.
- Faith must be prevented from failing
- When faith fails, it is like a major organ in the body failing, it’s like heart, kidney, liver or hepatic failure.
CONSEQUENCES OF FAITH FAILURE
1) LIFE is in danger when faith fails (Habakkuk 2:4)
2) WHEN faith fails, life is at risk.
- Victory is never in view when faith fails (1 John 5:4)
- When faith fails, people live, swim and revel in defeat
3) SALVATION is at stake with faith failure (Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 11:6) - When faith fails, people cease to believe that God is real
- Faith failure leads to spiritual lethargy, there will be spiritual lukewarmness
- When faith fails, people become indifferent towards God
The reason why our faith must be alive is not just for the getting of things but for the quality of our relationship with God.
WHAT ARE THE FORCES NEEDED TO KEEP FAITH ALIVE?
1) THE FORCE OF LIGHT (The force of insight in the word) John 1:1-5
- Light is relevant for keeping faith alive
- Jesus Christ never had any problem believing anything under heaven because He did not just have Light, He was Light.
- Light is the food and fuel of faith (Romans 10:17)
- The reception of light equals the manifestation of faith
How does light affect faith?
a) Light brings understanding and understanding births faith.
- The deeper your understanding, the stronger your faith
- We are at different levels of faith because we are at different levels of what we understand (Acts 8:30-38)
- Depth of light equals strength of faith
- Understanding is in levels so faith is in levels
b) Light dissolves the darkness of doubt and unbelief (John 1:5)
- There are things you are afraid of now because of the absence of light
- There are doubts you are having around your life now because of the absence of light
- There are even prayers you are praying now that are a waste of prayer because of the absence of light
- When light appears, unbelief goes, doubt dies and fears disappear.
I PROPHESY TODAY, THAT LIGHT THAT WILL KILL YOUR FEAR IS ARRIVING NOW!
c) Light brings direction for faith action
- When light comes, you will know the steps to take and the moves to make (Psalms 119:105; Luke 5:4-5)
- Revelation determines conviction, conviction determines action and action determines manifestation
- Light comes as revelation, revelation imparts on you conviction, conviction fuels direction and the direction produces the relevant action that will produce the desired outcome
- Once you know what to do, you leave where you are
- Action is the switch of power and when you take the right steps, you connect to the right power.

2) THE FORCE OF SOUND
- Light may come out of what you read or you saw but the force of sound refers to the power of what you hear
- What you hear can either make or break your faith
- What you hear can either build or ruin your faith
What ruined the children of Israel (why many of them could not enter into the promised land and they perished) was that they were hearing the wrong sound (Numbers 13:31-33; 14:1-2).
- There are things you hear that can make you cry but there are others that can make you laugh
- Goliath used that power against the children of Israel (1 Samuel 17:10-11)
WHAT is in the power of sound?
a) What you hear determines what you can believe and what you fear (Romans 10:11; Deuteronomy 17:13)
- What you hear can either build your faith or groom your fear
b) What you hear transmits the spirit in the sound into your life.
- Every sound has a spirit (John 6:63)
- Every music carries a sound, there are musics that usher people straight into immorality, there are songs that make people kill people. There are songs that make people commit suicide: they hear something and all of a sudden, the spirit of death descends on them. Every sound has a spirit!
What was wrong with the girl with the spirit of divination was not her statement but the spirit behind her statement (Acts 16:16-18).
c) Hearing is gateway to understanding (Matthew 13:13)
- Charge your ears with optimistic, scriptural and revelational things
- To keep you faith alive, you must be selective with what you allow into your ears
- To keep your faith alive, you must watch who speaks into your life.
3) THE FORCE OF THE RIGHT MINDSET
- Mindset is not just thought, mindset is settled thinking, established opinion and concluded thinking
- There are many people whose minds are settled, that was what happened to the Shunammite woman until Elisha came and changed her mind.
One thing you must know is that your present location is not your final destination. The devil wants to make you believe and think that where you are now is where you will die but that devil is a bastard liar!
The children of Israel doubted God permanently because their mind was settled in captivity. You need a positive mindset.
There is no limit of time, space and matter if it is with God.
I SPEAK TO SOMEBODY HERE TODAY, THERE IS SOMETHING SHIFTING IN YOUR LIFE, SOMETHING CHANGING IN YOUR LIFE AND I DECREE THAT EVERY NEGATIVE AND LIMITING MINDSET IS COLLAPSED NOW!
Important things about mentality
a) Mentality sets the limit on destiny(Proverbs 23:7)
- If your mind says this is where you will remain and you agree, that is where you will remain
b) Mentality determines possibility
c) Mentality is the determinant of reality - Things are created twice: first in the mind then in reality
- Become different from what is limiting people in your community
- That you are Black does not mean that you must be at the back. Black does not mean lack
- To be White does not mean to be right
- Whatever colour you are, the most important colour is the colour of God
- It doesn’t matter what your colour is, if you don’t know God, you are at the back; and it doesn’t matter what your root is, if you know God, you know too much!
Place your right hand on your forehead and say mind, change, be correct now!
Mad people are not usually counted during censuses because their mind is wrong. They cannot vote and they cannot be voted for. They are not employable, electable, or selectable.
- Your mindset sets your destiny. You must set and reset your mind with Scripture so that destiny can happen and be correct. Anywhere any human-being can reach in this world, I will reach. Anything that is possible under God will be possible with my life.
4) THE FORCE OF THE SPIRIT (2 Timothy 1:6-7; 2 Corinthians 4:13)
- The Spirit of God is the Spirit of faith
- The Spirit of God is also the Spirit of boldness and audacity (1 Corinthians 14:18)
- When you are a man of the Spirit, you are man of faith. When you are a woman of the spirit, you are a woman of faith.
How does the Spirit of God help your faith?
a) The Holy Spirit illuminates scriptures and ushers the saints into depths of light (1 Corinthians 2:9-10)
- He throws light on the Word while you are reading it
- It is not possible to be a spirit-filled man and be doubt-filled
b) The Holy Spirit uses the scriptures to construct faith in the heart of a child of God (Jude 20) - When you pray in the Holy Ghost, you are constructing faith.
c) The Holy Spirit makes God and His word believable - First of all, He spreads abroad the love of God in your heart and makes you love God and His word (Romans 5:5) – and love believeth all things (1 Corinthians 13:7).
