The Church in South Africa is compliant with the rules and have shown support to all the measures government implemented.
Sadly compliance from the church has sent the wrong signals to our government. We, unfortunately, remain the only entity in the nation that poses a significant health risk. How is this even possible?
Frankly, I am tired and I am frustrated with these decisions. The cap of 50 makes no sense at this stage.
Thank God for the internet but even the internet comes with its own limitations.
I am saying review the cap of 50, stop showing leniency to every other entity in the nation but the church. Malls are packed everyday, public transport packed everyday, the streets are busy and yet the church is forced to submit to 50, it makes no sense at all.
The government must review this as soon as possible because this is not Working for the faith community.
This is shifting from compliance to a violation of our faith.
And yes I get online, I get adapt, I get all of the above but for where we are right now South Africa, the math is not making sense in light of how the rules are being implemented.
Let us stand in solidarity and confront this matter head-on.
