Acts 12:7. I am speaking on the subject, “LIGHT IN THE PRISON.” Our objective tonight is to understand the power of light to end the affliction of the enemy. The Bible story here is very clear: there was persecution against the Church. Herod had arrested James, kept him in prison, got him beheaded. Church Gist. The Bible said, “and when he saw that what he did pleased the people, he arrested Peter also and put him in prison …” It was in that season that the prayer became intense just like we’ve been praying for our nation in this season. The prayer became very intense for Peter in Acts 12:5-7.
Beloved brothers and sisters, we live in a nation today where there is a lot of imprisonment on every side. We have people that are individually imprisoned either by ancestral situations, generational situations, occultic situations. Church Gist. There are some that are in the prison of sin and iniquity. There are people in prisons as a whole family – where nobody can get married, everybody is a prostitute (for example)
The other day, I was praying for a young girl on the line and the Lord showed me prophetically that even for her to be married was a miracle. The devil didn’t want her to be married. Church Gist. She was pregnant. She wasn’t meant to be married at all and she began to cry and said that, “she was the only person married in her family. Every other person had a child out of wedlock.” Their last born is a full fledged prostitute – a whole family in prison!
May be it might be prison of cancers like we heard in the Church in the morning. The father died of prostate cancer, sister died of another cancer, and she (testifier) began to have symptoms of another cancer. There are families in prison. There are communities in prison. Church Gist. A whole community given to alcoholism for example; given to cultism. One of our pastors told us the other day how that their community, the cult people came out and literally turned the community upside down until prayer was made and the community was rescued from that prison.
A whole state could be in prison. A whole nation could be in prison – like the nation of Nigeria today. So, in the midst of this prison, the angel of the Lord arrived and he arrived with light. Church Gist. Beloved, this crusade is titled, ‘Your light has come.’ I am here to announce to you that every kind of prison you have been in, the light is arriving here tonight.
- Your personal life’s prison, the prison of your family, community, the prison in our state, nation, light has come in the name of Jesus!
What is the assignment of light in the prison?
- Light arrives to dismantle darkness:
You know normally that the prison cell is a very dark place. Church Gist. There are dungeons in the prison where there is no light at all. The light arrives to dismantle the darkness of the prison. The darkness represents satanic activity, iniquity, confusion, stagnation.
- I announce to somebody here today, every form of darkness around your life, family, community, our state, our nation, shall be dismantled by the power of light tonight!
- The light comes to dismantle captivity/imprisonment:
When the Angel arrived with light, the prison door opened. Imprisonment means the enemy kept you somewhere. Church Gist. Your life is confined, destiny is confined, family is confined, the State is contained, the nation is in a confinement. But the light arrives to scatter the confinement, imprisonment.
- I prophesy by the apostolic and the prophetic mantle of God upon my life, anywhere the devil has kept you confined, I declare that confinement is scattered tonight!
- I announce to Nigeria: in this season we are coming out of the prison!
- I announce to our state, you are stepping out of any form of prison!
- Your family, personal life is coming out of the prison!
- The light dismantles the chain/bondage:
Whereas the prison means your life is confined, the chain or the bondage means your life is tied. You know when your hand is tied and your leg is tied and you’re inside a door that is closed. Church Gist. That is, master prison! There are people whose hands or feet are tied, their lives are bound. They are bound by one thing or the other. But that is the function of the light that has come here tonight. Acts 12:7. When your light comes, your chain must fall.
- I am here to announce today: Every chain that the enemy has used to chain your life, that chain is falling off now! I see the chain of barrenness, backwardness, poverty and oppression falling off now!
- The Light arrives to dismantle fear
Fear in the land, in the prison and in the heart of Peter. How many of you know that when it is dark that fear can be natural. I’m I communicating? Church Gist. You notice for children that when there is no light they are just very afraid. In fact, even in security systems, there are security lights to dismantle the fear of the unknown. Light is a natural answer to fear. When the Light arrives, the fear dies.
- I don’t know who is here that is afraid to die before their time, the fear of death, fear of the unknown or that of not getting married, not getting a child or the fear of not fulfilling your days, the fear of Nigeria disintegrating, I decree that Light has come and the fear must die! Church Gist. Every spell, plague and spirit of fear disappears now.
Peter may have had some transient fears no matter how bold he was. Peter was married, remember that his mother-in-law was prayed for by Jesus and he probably had a family and must have been thinking probably of his children, wife and so forth until that Light came and the fear of the unknown disappeared. Church Gist. That is what shall happen to someone here tonight.
- After this moment, you will face the future, your destinies and the elections without fear.
- The Light dismantles hopelessness and uncertainties
This is a situation where nothing is sure. I want to let us know that Jesus is the hope of our nation, and the Light of the Gospel must destroy the uncertainty of this hour. I’m sure that you know that there are a lot of uncertainties in the air. Church Gist. A law was made concerning cash and its availability, some people went to the Supreme court and said that the decree cannot work and the Supreme court made a ruling, then the leadership of the land said, ‘No, we cannot obey, that ruling is not binding on us’! And some people said that the ruling is not also binding on them- That is anarchy, confusion, disorder and discord!
That is from the same camp! I will speak about that towards the end! That is the uncertainty that has the capacity to make people hopeless. If those who are to make law and protect the law are not respecting anything, anybody or any authority, then what is the future? Church Gist. But there is a future in God for us and our nation.
-Anybody who wants this nation to be destroyed, they and their generations shall be destroyed. Everybody who said, ‘If I cannot have it, let us scatter it’! God will scatter them and scatter their generation. God will scatter their name from the land of the living! Church Gist. God will scatter them a thousand times! I stand here with a Prophetic and Apostolic mantle, if we serve a God that is on the throne, there is hope for our nation, your life and family! Maybe you are here and you are uncertain, your Light has come.
- Light dismantles negative cycles
Light came to dismantle those negative cycles that came to Peter. Why was it a negative cycle? One among the disciples had already been beheaded (James) and it was Peter’s turn, the Church prayed and the angel came with the Light and the Light cancelled that cycle. Church Gist. Are you here today and you are a victim of a negative pattern? In your personal life, your community, in Benue State and Nigeria, our nation. I stand here with the mantle of God and I announce that the pattern is broken and scattered by the power of Light! - Light came to dismantle death
Death was cancelled for Peter. The arrival of the angel and that Light in prison was the arrest of premature death and death from any quarter.
-I am here to announce to somebody, you will not die like your father, brother, sister and other relatives died. Every spell and cycle of death is broken. Church Gist. I decree that in this season in Benue State, every trace of death is cancelled. Death from electoral violence is cancelled, resisted and frustrated!
Declarations: My Light has come! No power of hell and from the prison can stop my Light from arriving! Church Gist. By this Light, I am coming out of the prison!

What is our access to the light?
- John 8:12. The acceptance of Jesus Christ into our lives. The purpose of Jesus is to lighten our lives, families, communities, state and nation. Everyone knows that the gospel brought development into the world. Church Gist. Civilization happened at the frequency of the gospel. When the gospel came to Africa, Africa was a dark continent and then the gospel came. Then civilization came: they brought schools, education, hospitals, everything and Africa got lightened up.
If you don’t know Jesus, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4; the acceptance of Jesus is the beginning of light.
- The action and attitude of communion with God:
Psalm 36:9. Having accepted Jesus into your life, you need to hang around the light to see light. Many of us hang around people with dark lives – terrible lives so our lives are filled with darkness. Church Gist. Our company is dark company, occultic company, witchcraft company, gossip company, backbiting company, alcoholic company, homosexual company. So our lives are still filled with darkness. - The revelation of the Word because the Word is light:
Psalm 119:105; Psalm 119:130; Isaiah 9:8. The Word is a communication of light. This Bible will keep you out of darkness and darkness will keep you from this Bible. Connection to this book is permanent connection to light. Church Gist. The Bible is not what you put under the pillow to sleep at night – that’s not the purpose of it. It’s not what you just carry; it is what you open so that your life can be lighted. I believe that this light of this gospel is lightening someone’s life tonight! The light of this gospel is lightening our nation, state and communities.
How many of us tonight are trusting the Lord for light to step into our prison and for us to come out of every prison?
Lift your hand and begin to receive your exit from every prison!
Prayers
We will take some prayers for Nigeria and then take some few testimonies before we close. Church Gist. It is seven more days to presidential and senatorial elections, we are asking for divine intervention.

PRAYERS FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA.
In seven days time, elections are going to happen for various positions in Nigeria, we are asking Jehovah to overrule the machinations of the evil people. The very same people that congregated together to bring this nation to this point are now at war with each other- Accusing and counter accusing each other. Some are finding blame with the captain of the team as if the team failed, it was the captain that failed. Church Gist. No! Every team player should be ashamed of himself because it is a collective inherited shame. If you didn’t believe in the direction you should have resigned long ago.
-Father! Shine your Light over Nigeria and let your agenda be fulfilled
-Those who brought confusion and darkness into Nigeria, we reject every agenda of destruction upon this nation from them
-Father, every attempt by any group of people to destroy Nigeria, we ask that their agenda would backfire upon themselves now!

-Those who want Nigeria to be destroyed shall destroy themselves.
-Father, in seven days time let your perfect will for Nigeria be done.
As we pray the prayer, I want you to do the physical action, don’t let anything stop you from going out to cast your vote and vote correctly. I’m sure that you know how to vote. Tell the people in your village, your brothers and loved ones how to vote, where to vote and who to vote for. Don’t vote corruption. Don’t vote for expired and retired cargoes. Don’t vote for those who brought us terrorism! Those who agree to bring banditry. Benue State has suffered so much in their hands! Those who brought kidnapping, don’t vote for them and their lineage! Don’t vote for anybody near them, connected or related to them!
Lift your light and say,
-Father! In Nigeria, Your will shall be done in seven days time.

We anointed the Southern part of Nigeria in Port-Harcourt last week. We are anointing from the North central, I anoint this ground in the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost!
-We ask that the earth of Nigeria will reject evil people, evil leaders, terrorists and their sponsors. Church Gist. Those who invited them into Nigeria and are paying them, we declare that this earth will reject them!
-In this forthcoming election, put all of them to shame! Every weapon of war that they have gathered together to kill innocent Nigerians because they are looking for the presidency, because they claim that it’s their birthright and turn! Let that weapon bomb against them and destroy them!
-As they said that Nigeria should not have peace, may they and their generation never have peace.
The only reason why people rig elections is because they are so useless and unnecessary, so brainless and senseless, generational liabilities, expired materials that are only necessary for dustbin operation. Listen, it is only in Nigeria that the worst of people are ruling over the best of people! Brainless people! Zero upstairs! No more! People whose brain you are not sure is correct, yet they want to be in power by force! The Lord rebukes them and rebukes everybody advertising them.
-The generation of killers and blood suckers will never rule our nation again forever!
-I decree today, it is over for the rule of evil in the Name of God the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost! So shall it be in Jesus Precious Name!
Come 25th of February, 2023 the perfect will of God shall be done and Nigeria shall rejoice again and stand in the committee of nations with dignity again! So from this point all the way to the North and the West, how many of you know that where we are is the center of Nigeria? We are in the North central! You know that Benue has boundaries with the East, South East, South South, North East and South West, North East linking to the other parts of the North central including the South West through Kogi State.
-Anywhere connected and associated with us, we decree that the fire shall flow through all those places and sanitize our land in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost!
Father, thank you!
Everyone listen to me, Mordecai told Esther, you are in the Kingdom for such a time as this! All of us are in this country for this purpose- To force evil to hell so that good can report in Nigeria. Between now and the coming Saturday, we are having another fasting and prayer on Wednesday. We will dedicate our Midweek Service for that purpose, that is three days to the election, bear this in mind and take the appropriate action!

Police people, military people, SSS; Let me take the liberty to appreciate your efforts, all of you, all security apparatuses here and everywhere across the country, the Lord bless you and all the INEC staff and everyone one of you, all of us. Church Gist. When you’re on your duty post, know that you’ll be answerable to God if you assist anybody to rig. When you go before Jehovah, He will ask you, that “did somebody win or you assisted them to win?” I think I will address these people on Sunday for their own Food for Thought.
God will ask you on the judgment day that killers want to finish His beloved country of Nigeria and you still assisted them into power. Church Gist. Don’t do anything extra, just do your work. Don’t do anything extra, just stand and be vigilant and just be sure that nobody manipulates any result under your watch. They’re soldier, you’re soldier, they’re police, you’re police, “you will not manipulate this result under my nose. You’re not taking the paper anywhere, we will finish it here and send the results here!”
Cut this instruction and send it to all your brothers, anybody who is a soldier, a policeman, an INEC staff that you know, warm them! Church Gist. Counsel and advise them that they have the blood of a Nation in their hands if they assist any killer to rig elections and if they have human blood to give to God when they meet Him in judgment, they can go ahead.
The Lord bless all of you, we pray for you all the time. Church Gist. You’re in the front of danger facing terrorists, kidnappers and bandits, none of them will waste your life. You won’t lose your life to any demonic agent; one of you will waste a thousand of them.
