Lacrae Devaughn Moore, popularly known as Lacrae is a Gospel Hip Hop Artiste, Song writer, producer, husband to Darragh Moore and three time Grammy Award winner. He was born on the 9th of October 1979. His song is his major tool to preach the Grace of God. Many times, he has been criticized for not sticking to purely preaching the Gospel in his songs but for addressing social injustice. His songs, both personal release and collaborations has blessed the lives of many.
Through the journey of Christianity, Lacrae has had his pitfalls and come backs, the great news being that he still strongly represents the Kingdom in Gospel rap and character.
At interviews, Lacrae recounts his journey to becoming and staying Christian and how God has been there through all of his experiences. At 16, Lacrae reveals he began handling drugs and further walking the way of promiscuity.
The greater experience about God’s children whom the devil tries to mess with, is their restoration journey. The Album ‘Restoration’ and his book ‘Restoration’ was inspired by Lacrae’s new encounter in Christ and in his words, ‘birth out of a tough season’.
