* We will all be cruising at the same altitude.
* God is not a Democrat.
* One with God is a majority in the battles of life.
* One with God is a majority in the race of life.
Somebody got to her father’s compound, the leg started swelling, sending forth offensive water, the stomach began to swell, life began miserable (documented testimony). Not for one day, not for one year, Jesus stepped in, in response to her obedience. With her little strength, she was after God, she was pursuing after God’s interest and God stepped in. She excreted a Mango seedling, the devil transplanted that into her system, God didn’t plant it and her obedience forced it out; life opened up again.
– No matter any corner the enemy might have pushed anyone, you are coming out!
15 years of marital separation (documented testimony): not 15 months! Five of my new converts came to Church, I was going out for a mop up operation and the Holy Ghost said “wait.” Then a call came and family re-united. After every human effort had been put in place, Jesus stepped in and said, “I’m the Answer. No matter your question, I have the answer.”
Your obedience is what commits God to give the answers to your questions.
– No question in anyone’s life shall lack an answer from the Lord this time, in the name of Jesus.
Psalm 119:144 “The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.”
Every testimony is a pointer to our heritage in Christ.
– Whatever the enemy might have stolen from anyone shall be duly restored this time!
I grew to love the scripture, “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:12).
WAKE UP: He doesn’t work without somebody getting to work.
Wake up: Nothing of value is ever free.
Wake up: They didn’t inherit the promises by wishing or waiting. They put their hands to work and their testimonies came through.
Stop waiting, stop watching: START WORKING. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).
Get up and start working: it does not respond to wishing; it does not respond to waiting.
No, you don’t wait to become a Lawyer. You embark on the process of becoming one. Wake up and work.
You don’t wake up and become an Engineer. No, you begin the process of becoming one before you ever become one.
Waiting and wishing to emerge an Engineer: you’ll wait and wait until you waste away. God forbid.
To double the attendance of this Church is no big deal within one week (Acts 13:44).
With every member coming along with just one new convert or invitee the coming Sunday, Church attendance will naturally double. In addition, if every member is committed to ensuring that every soul is established in the faith and in this Church, then the minimum double is sustained.
But the big question is, “who is really on the Lord’s side in the pursuit of this prophetic Church growth agenda for this season?” (Exodus 32:26, 1 John 3:18, Isaiah 29:13)
Who is really on the Lord’s side and who can tell except the individual? Examine yourself whether ye be in the faith or not (2 Corinthians 13:5).
WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE?
Exodus 32:26
Who is on the Lord’s side? Let him come unto me.
Who is on the Lord’s side? Let him plug in now, to prove it.
Who is on the Lord’s side? Let him get committed and dedicated to delivering his own portion.
Who is on the Lord’s side? Let him come unto me now.
Let’s recognise that God’s side is the ever-winning side of life. We saw Joshua and Caleb on God’s side among the 12. God is not a democrat. Two cannot carry the vote out of 12, but one with God is a majority in the battles of life. One with God is a majority in the race of life. All the other 10 perished in the wilderness but Joshua and Caleb lived on till they entered the Promised land (Numbers 14:7-10, 28-32).
Being on God’s side is all about being in agreement with God in whatever thing He says to be done (Luke 6:46).
It’s not what you say now, it’s what you do that determines whether you are on God’s side or not.
“Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22).
Among the proofs of being on God’s side is passion for salvation and preservation of souls as in the following examples:
1. Father Abraham: Lot got blessed as he went along with Abraham. Then there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abraham and the herdsmen of Lot.
Abraham called him: Come on young man, let there be no strife. You look around, take any side of your choice and I will take the remaining. I will take whatever is left.
So the boy (Lot) said, “Yes, I’m in charge.” He took all the watered plains and left the dry desert for Abraham. Then he went into captivity because he broke the hedge.
He should have just bowed down his head and said, “Father Abraham, take what you please, I will take whatever remains.”
Abraham in spite of that went after his captors: armed his trained soldiers, rescued him, his wife and rescued all that the enemies had captured (Genesis 14:14-16).
A friend of God indeed whose mission is the rescue of humankind. In Genesis chapter 18, we saw this man again when God confided in him that he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of their sin (Genesis 18:20-33).
He stood there. Did he (Abraham) have a relation in Sodom and Gomorrah? No. He stood in the gap for the rescue of men and women, boys and girls that lived in Sodom and Gomorrah.
That’s what made Abraham to qualify to be God’s friend (Isaiah 41:8). After souls, just like our Heavenly Father that He gave His begotten that whosoever believes should not perish but have everlasting lives (John 3:16).
Passion for salvation and preservation of souls is one of the vital proofs of being on God’s side.
2. Apostle Paul: “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. It’s the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes” (Romans 1:16).
“That I preach the gospel, I have nothing to be proud of; for necessity is laid on me; woe is me if I preach not the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16).
Undying passion for salvation for souls (Romans 9:3).
Well you can tell the outcome: Abraham was old and stricken in age; the Lord had blessed him in ALL things (Genesis 24:1).
Passion for souls entitle you and I to be blessed in ALL Things: blessed family, blessed health, blessed business, blessed career.
He (Abraham) wasn’t just blessed here, he was blessed onto eternity. Abraham had a seat, a throne in heaven. He said, “Father Abraham”. I guess they wrote that on his chair: Father Abraham, don’t miss him for anybody else. This is Father Abraham.
In redemption, we are called the seed of Abraham. The blessing of Abraham is the blessing that Jesus purchased for us among other things on the cross.
Blessed here on the side of Jordan and blessed there in the great beyond.
Passion for souls, being on God’s side.
While Paul was here, “the gods have come down to us in the likeness of men.” That was the exclamation.
They changed their mind in that little island in Acts chapter 28, verses 1 to 7.
“He is a god”, because what destroyed others could not destroy him. The venomous viper that bits people, they get swollen and die could not touch him. After they watched for a long while for him to be swollen and fall down; it didn’t happen. They changed their mind, he must be a god.
He got lost in the sea overnight and woke up in the morning to start sharing the testimony. Not a diver.
Here is Paul testifying: I have fought the good fight, I have kept the faith, I have finished my course. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me in that day (2 Timothy 4:6-8).
Being on God’s side gets us blessed both here in the now and in the hereafter in Heaven. Abraham had that experience, Paul had that experience; we are next in line for that experience.
Remember, the Lord’s side is the ever-winning side of life: everything speaking in your favour, in all directions.
God’s side is the ever-winning side of life: it speaks blessings in the Now and blessings in the Hereafter.
Receive grace to remain on God’s side if that’s your choice. Grace to remain on God’s side so you can be on the ever-winning side of life.
…come with me and see my zeal for the Lord (2 Kings 10:15-16). Zeal cannot be hidden. That my son, 5 of his converts came to church and he was going out for a mop-up operation for those he could not see (today’s documented testimony). They must be in this area because fishermen are always smart people. He got them around where he can always meet them and say, “come over, second service is going, third service is going on; I came for you.”
Response: I’m bathing
I will wait. If we miss second service, we will go to third service together.
You can’t hide your zeal. You are not doing it for them to see but it can’t be hidden.
My friend, you are to bring 10 established souls: you have not brought one and there is no rise in your temperature.
“Father God, I thank you. Operation 10 for Christ 2020, very good caption:10.10.10. Amen, thank you Lord. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me.”
From now, your being on God’s side will be with proofs. The proofs will be the results you get and your life will never lack results in all areas of your life. When you come under His blessing, it impacts on all aspect of your life.
Lift up your 2 hands: that this will be your most zealous week on the altar of prayer; your most zealous in pursuit after souls; your most zealous week in your passion after the order of Abraham your father.
