A politician came here, he was holding a magazine he said pray for me to serve God, I said I won’t pray, I said do I pray for you to go for your political party meetings? he said pastor pray for me so that I can serve God, I said I am not praying, do they pray for party meetings.
When they fix their meetings, they wake up in the midnight, you watch them; most of the political meetings are not held during the day they are held in the middle of the night, the real politicians don’t hold their meetings in the day, the ones that holds their meeting in the day time are the upcoming ones. ChurchGist. The real politicians hold their meetings in the midnight, that is where they rig elections, election is not rigged in the day time it is rigged in the night, they won’t sleep, they go about permutating, this boy will not be the Councillor with the way this thing is going and then they sack him, if he goes to councillor position, he will spoil our party’s name and so they move him away. This one is loyal that one is not loyal, they do all of this in the middle of the night.
All these voters’ card you’re carrying, election has finished for 2023, the 2023 election is just to fulfill all righteousness, the real election has finished. It is only prayer that can turn the whole thing around. ChurchGist. Nigeria is a funny country, when I see the kinds of people showing interest in some political offices, I am like this people again in Nigeria, they want to finally sell Nigeria, if there is anything remaining, they want to count Nigeria and say we sell it for wholesale price. ChurchGist. This country we will pray them out. Now, God will bring somebody who will make Nigeria a better country, when I see the kinds of people showing interest in offices, I have not seen one credible person for now, maybe later when we see more faces but the ones who have shown their faces now not one among them is credible, these ones will mortgage Nigeria, they will say come and buy Nigeria for the next 200 years and they will collect the money, our fourth generation will not see anything, it will be a case of from frying pan into fire. ChurchGist. We are currently inside frying pan and you’re craving to enter inside the fire, God forbid.

There are things about life that you have to believe. The Bible says we have been raised up with Christ and we have been made to sit with Him, far above principalities and powers. When you believe this, you can convince yourself that no enchantment and no divination can work against you. Church Gist. There are the workings of the spirit from within us, that will demonstrate the excellency of the power of God, that one day, people will ask you; “How are you outsourcing your health and your life?” And you will tell them.
Science knows that, there is a relationship between light and health and life. “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word, by every light.” “The entrance of thy Word giveth light.” The entrance of food gives vitamins and minerals. If you eat rice, is it the rice you really need? There is the nutrient from it. So if you eat scripture, what really happens? Because the Bible tells us that both of them can do something to you. Believers, let’s not toy with our lives, literally in the days that we’re living. There are all kinds of mysterious sicknesses and wicked spirits have complicated it, so people do not even know which one is medical and which one is demonic. There are people who can have a legitimate medical condition, as soon as that one is over, demons just cash in on the pain and continue painting it that this one is no longer medical.
Romans 8:11 If you are a man of God here, you have to know this otherwise the burden of ministry will kill you. I didn’t come to the earth by mistake, I’ll never leave by mistake. This is my covenant with God. My parents have never told me that I arrived by mistake. There’s no power in existence that sustains the ability to separate my spirit from body out of my cooperation. You have to choose what you believe, otherwise, anything will just sweep you like that.
Let me tell you this, I don’t mean to sound arrogant but believe me when I tell you; if I were lying about what I am teaching you, it would have shown. I have prayed for too many people with situations that you are not even supposed to come near them. There are suicidal things you don’t try except you know what you are standing on. Church Gist. I remember years ago, a family wanted to destroy some charms because the person to inherit the thing was not interested and there is a consequence for not being interested and so, when they brought it, they put it in a leather. I said, open it, let me see and they were afraid for me. When I held it, I looked at it; these things were all elements of the earth. The blood there, is it not chicken or goat or whatever it is and all those enchantments. I said, look let me tell you something, these things don’t just work anyhow. There is a condition that makes it work. Even Jesus knocked on my heart to enter, why should something enter without knocking?
You think it’s the devil’s plan for me to be alive by now? There are people satan does not want pain for them, he wants them to die because even if they are in pain, it’s still a disadvantage (the fact that they are alive). Say; “In the name of Jesus, the life of God is at work in me.”
This is the year where you have to believe, don’t take the risk of just living in an evil world like this, without even knowing these things. It will cost you more than you can imagine. Man of God, you can’t be travelling from region to region, preaching Jesus, healing the sick and not know what you are standing on. Church Gist. The devil will not watch you raise people from wheel chairs, end captivities over people’s life and not want to take your own life. But Jesus said, “no man taketh it from me. I have the power to lay it down.” The part of scripture you believe is the part that works for you. This is why laziness in studying the Word is your agreeing with death among other spirit to destroy you.
John 8:12 There is light that produces life
5). Supernatural empowerment. We are in the days of His power, a demonstration of the authority and the power of the Kingdom, in a dimension that will dumbfound principalities and powers. It takes light to reign and exert dominion. Jesus said, “behold I give you power. The Greek word is Exousia, authority over snakes and scorpions and over every power of the enemy.” The word power there is not just Dunamis, it is authority; the power that comes by reason of knowledge. This is the kind of authority that is demonstrated on the account of light to trample upon snakes, scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
You need to manifest the power of the Holy Spirit and manifest Kingdom authority in truth.
6). A season of showing forth, a season of unveiling, a season of exploit. Isaiah 60:1-2 To arise is one thing, but to shine is another and both of them will happen because your light is come. The same light that makes you arise is the same light that can make you shine. Ephesians 5:13 In this season, God is going to be unveiling things, secrets that have kept families down, the puzzles and mysteries. Church Gist. The strength of darkness is secrecy and mysticism but light comes to make manifest. When light comes, that which is hidden is made manifest.
Everything in the Kingdom has demands or requirements. It is not all up to God and it is not all up to the saints in Christ. There is always a participatory requirement.
1). You must cultivate a passion and a thirst for knowledge. Knowledge will not just come and meet you, you have to pursue with passion. Don’t forbear with ignorance this year. Make up your mind; “I’m tired of this generational ignorance, I’m tired of this limitation” and you pursue it diligently (Matthew 7:7-8).
2). You must be teachable; you must be meek (James 1:21). Meekness is a posture; you put yourself in a position where you are passionate about knowing what you do not know and when you find an opportunity to know it, you drop away the mentality we call in this side of Africa called an “I too know mentality.” Church Gist. Those who believe they know everything are the ones who don’t know anything. You easily know those who know by their passion to know more.
What will the Word of God be doing in the temple, the Word of God, yet at age 12, He was in the temple, learning under people He would one day save. You must cultivate passion for knowledge. Don’t come to the house of God this year, hoping to learn one thing or the other. You must come intentional, ready to receive and damage every level of ignorance that you find. Don’t forbear with darkness and ignorance; have the meekness to learn.
3). You must be determined to see the light of God manifest in every area of darkness in your life. That means, it is your responsibility under God to list the several areas of your life, where you desire to see the light and the power of God and begin to probe them one by one.
This is the year where when God shows you mercy in an area, you pat your back in that area but you turn and begin to say, Lord, thank you for this area but here, here, here and you stay with God until your joy is complete. Engage the Word in every area of your life.
4). You must be committed to the gathering of the saints like never before (Psalm 83:17). There is a level of understanding that cannot happen to you just in your private quiet time, there is a level of light and illumination that happens when we come together as a family of faith. You must discipline yourself this year and fight any kind of spiritual laziness and laxity.
5). You must be committed to speaking the Word of God all through this year. Light shines in this Kingdom when we command it to (2 Corinthians 4:6). Light does not just shine. So how does light shine for you? – You command it to shine. When it has to do with shinning, you don’t wish shinning, you command shinning. This is the year when creation must hear your voice. This is not the year to be silent, this is not the year of pray for me, pray for me Apostle. I’ll pray for you but you must get up and say, in the name of Jesus, January hear the Word of the Lord, I command light (you change that light to anything light can be).
If you keep quiet, I’ve taught this; one of the assignments of the spirit of depression is to bring you to a point of silence, where your brain keep wishing for many things that never happen. If Jesus died without speaking that He will come back to life, he would have been surprised. Jesus did not just resurrect because the Holy Ghost came to resurrect Him, He sent a word into His third day to wait for Him there. Church Gist. Don’t enter into a day that you have not spoken into. The Bible says, this is the day, the Lord has made and the Bible already tell you how God makes things (Genesis 1). That means, there should not be anything in that day. If the Lord made the day, anything He made in Genesis 1 was good but the Bible lets us know that satan also stands at the corridor of every new day and wait to be able to sow all kinds of things. This is the year to declare.
When you get up in the morning, train yourself to stop all these complaining and lamentations. Make up your mind that you are going to speak the Word of God. Don’t be silent. January can become the same as last year’s own if you keep quiet. Just because a prophetic word is before you does not mean anything will change. You have to engage it with understanding. When God gave this Word, I took it as a personal word for myself first, flogged it out with destiny before coming out here. “I don’t know what to do” but start by speaking. It is in speaking that direction comes.
I came here to charge you. We are going to pray. There is more than sufficient grace. My dear people, let me admit to you truly. I know many of you have heard many prophetic words about 2022, don’t think those prophetic words are a lie, most of them are true. However, let me show you something; I have taught you here that the prophecy of scripture sustains a unique ability to veto and redefines the believer’s reality. Church Gist. When you keep quiet, you will become a victim. Like never before, one of the things I know satan wants to do is to disgrace believers and make it look like, we have been believing a lie. Satan wants to see that believers are weary.
We are going to take a few minutes to pray these things into our lives. This year, from a human standpoint, I know the things I’ve seen. This year comes with a lot of challenges, peculiar challenges but the Bible says, a thousand shall fall by thy side and ten thousand by your right side, but none shall hurt you. You shall stand and behold the reward of the wicked. The first prayer tonight is to exempt yourself and then, as a responsible ambassador of the Kingdom, to begin to contribute your quota of intercession and spiritual investment over the territory.
PRAYER:
Thank the Lord for the Word you have heard.
Declare that this year is my year of Marvelous light, supernatural insight into the mysteries of the Kingdom, understanding of the ways of God, the administration of the life and the power of God within my heart and within my body, direction by the Spirit. This is the year for supernatural empowerment. I am not weak!
Decree and declare: “It is not a negative year for me.” I prophesy by the power of God, light is shinning. This is a year of high level spiritual ascendance! In the name of Jesus, my body is preserved by the power of the Holy Ghost. No demon, devil, curse or enchantment will prevail over my body! As for me and my house, we will not only serve the Lord, we will serve in safety and peace in the name of Jesus!
You are going to mention every month from January to December, give it an instruction by the Word of God. You are going to command it to shine, take away every negative thing from January to December.
Declare that everything in my life that God has put within me that should find expression to bring glory to the name of the Lord and to be a blessing to me, that has been covered hitherto, this year, you are unveiled!
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
None of your will die!
Anyone in partnership with demon spirits, to bring you down to the grave and discourage many people, in the name of Jesus Christ, this night, the curse of the Lord falls upon their heads!
The anointing and the grace that makes for working in the experience of Marvellous light, may that grace come upon you now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
Shame and reproach that has lingered around your life and destiny, in this year 2022, I prophesy to you by the power that raised Christ up from the dead, let it leave you like smoke before the wind!
I pray for your spiritual life, every attack on your passion for God, prayer, the Word and the house of God, in the name of Jesus, rise above that limitation now!
For anyone here who men have mocked you and say, where is your God, where is the evidence of your passion and commitment? This year, may your result answer that question in the name of Jesus Christ!
The mystery and the revelation that controls restoration for what you have lost, may that light come to you right now!
Every prison; financial, spiritual, whatever prison, you found yourself in, the light that must shine in that prison and swing that door open; may that light come to you now!
I decree and declare, let there be a supernatural marking upon you. Every manifestation of death, I command it far from your habitation!
Any devil of darkness on a campaign to kidnap you or your loved ones, I stand by the God of my covenant, may the earth open and swallow them for your sake!
In 2022, find peace. All your troublers, I command them to leave you in peace. Spiritually, financially, physically; I speak peace to your destiny!
In the name of Jesus, you will never carry over any prophetic blessing.
The only thing permitted to happen in your life this year is speed and not delay in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
We pray for Abuja (FCT), we pray for Nigeria and Africa, we declare peace, progress, we declare safety and security of live and properties. We pray for the government and all those who play different roles in this Nation, we declare wisdom upon them!
We pray over the East, the West, North, South. Preserve Your people oh God. Let the covenant of David, that covenant of mercy speaks across the six geopolitical zones in this Nation. We extend our prayer to the continent of Africa in the name that is above all names. Preserve Your elect, preserve Your people even in this season!

Lord show me what I must do for my change of level, and He shows you. Call upon Him and He will show you the things you don’t know that are blocking the way forward. Jeremiah 33:3. You recover what anyone may have lost because we plead on the basis of heaven’s constitution: the Bible to secure God’s hearing. If you pray according to His will, He hears us. You know that your pride and arrogance is causing tension in your home – “Lord clothe me with the spirit of meekness, I am suffering myself not hearing” that’s the wife praying. The husband “Lord help me, this is not love. Harassing my wife every day and night. I should outgrow this. Let your love break forth in my heart by the Holy Ghost”. Then he is praying right. “Oh God come and settle my home” “ I won’t settle your home, you do what settles homes.
Why must we continue to pray? Church Growth is warfare. The prince of this world has held mankind bound, it takes those with the greater one in them to come against him and rescue them. Luke 11:22-23. The greater ones are the believers. The gates of hell are all out to stop the Church from growing, we are all out to disarm him and release the Church from his hand. Prayer and fasting are vital weapons in our battle against the gates of hell. Before she travail, she brought forth? Never happens, who has heard such a thing. For as soon as Zion travailed in prayer with a thirsty heart and a longing flesh which equals fasting, power breaks forth and demonic strongholds are scattered. Isaiah 66:7&8 Psalm 63:1-3. Mathew 17:21. Church Gist. There are some of those installations that will never move except you engage the combined forces of faith, fasting and prayer. It is the combined forces of faith, fasting and prayer that checks out every devil blocking the Church from growing. It is a lifelong task not a 21 days fast alone. It is by putting up our fight of faith on the prayer altar that we win the war. God’s prophetic agenda is an ever multitude flocking Church. That requires that we engage in putting up a fight against all resisting forces of hell. We must pray continuously for the retention of our new converts. He is looking for how to drag them back. We pray them off his hands. “no devil must take this ones, it is your will to keep them to the uttermost until they make heaven”.
We circulated some publications last Sunday on the forces behind the continuous growth of the Church. We prayed for the compelling sound of the Holy Ghost to blow across our harvest field, rushing many into the Church. We were in one hotel in U.K. and the fire alarm just went on. My wife said “what is happening?” I said they don’t ask, you just move. In a moment everyone was outside the hotel. Whether you are willing or not, it is a compelling sound. That is how the sound of the Holy Ghost gathers peoples into Church. Church Gist. When it comes in your ears you pick race. The first rescue when fire breaks out, the fire alarm. When fire broke out in one hospital in India, all the people you thought were sick the speed with which they took off. That’s the kind of sound we are invoking across our harvest field. You just be running, where are you going? They don’t ask if you want to join me, let’s go.
Then we have the blessed service of the reaper angels. They don’t come except on demand. They are in our service and this end time they are the principal reapers. They just appear to you “sit down, tomorrow go to that loading bail that is where your salvation is”. Church Gist. An angel appeared to Cornelius and the following day, he sent soldiers to look for Peter by Heaven’s G.P.S. The whole family and their neighbours and friends got saved and baptized in the Holy Ghost. Anyhow prayer has no future, anyhow prayer does not provide answers.
Everything we do requires understanding for maximum delivery. Unto what are we serving this table tonight? Unto a new realm of willful, delightsome, tireless obedience after the order of Christ. Isaiah 1:18. If you are not willing, obedience does not count. If you are doing it because you have to do it, it doesn’t count. No one took it from me, Jesus said I laid it down willing. Church Gist. Hebrews 10:7, Philippians 2:9. When faith is tired it passes over the baton to patience, when patience is weary it passes it over love, love is never weary. Grace after the order or Christ for willful obedience, delightsome obedience, smiling obedience. Philippians 2:9-11. That requires tireless obedience. Your prayer is very hot, this is January. By February you are on self granted vacation. It never works that way.
A young man at FUTA came to my office at Covenant University Chapel Office and said you will never remember what you told me 1972, that “your level of commitment to Christ is what determines your ultimate accomplishment in life” I didn’t speak that word, the Holy Ghost spoke it through me. I held on to that world and among his peers he was one of the earliest Professors. Church Gist. It is this tireless commitment that keeps changing people’s level. He takes you and I from where we are as long as we keep being willing in our obedience, He keeps changing our level. The harvest will perish without joy so ensure that you are rejoicing in the Lord always.
The rich fool made a request that returned void. Luke 16:27-29. He said “Father Abraham, I have five more brothers down on earth. I don’t want them to come to this place of torment. Please send someone to go down and warn them that this thing is real”. Abraham answered from heaven “you don’t know what you are asking, they have Moses and the prophets. Church Gist. If they will not hear them, neither will they hear someone sent from heaven”. I am privileged to be one of his messengers down here on earth. What He wants to say to you, is what I am saying to you now. If you want, take it, if you don’t want, react, protest. They have been Protestant Churches and they have not removed God from being the I AM that I AM.
You have just stepped into that realm of more than a conqueror in this fasting and prayer. Where every commandment of the Lord will suit you.
The distasteful realm of that is sacrificial obedience. It was on the altar of sacrifice that Abraham secured his own blessing. They are still speaking today. Sacrificial obedience will go the extra mile for Jesus. He has set for example that we will walk in His steps. The Bible says “Christ has suffered, sacrificed his life to set an example for us that we should walk in his steps”.
No one will drop out of this race.
No soldier has a future in the military without responding to the last command. “I don’t feel like it, I just want to rest. ” Okay! Go and rest, you don try. We are soldiers of Christ, we are called to endure hardness as good soldiers of Christ. Get a soul established a month. I heard that two years ago those who did it didn’t get anything out of it. How do you know? The peace, the joy, the covering over their children that they got out of it, can you buy that with money. Stop looking at someone else, face where you are going. I vowed never to make anybody’s thing my thing. I was 20 when I found it. I wasn’t in a service.
Enjoy God, enjoy His instructions, enjoy your findings. Respond to His corrections and rebukes willingly, unreservedly and tirelessly.
Lord I desire your kind of obedience that gave me your kind of obedience. Lord through this communion, endue me with your kind of obedience. Not making a choice from your instructions but going full blast into them. Lift up your two hands and pray. It’s not the communion that changes your life, it is your faith in what you are doing.
You can’t be obedient and not command dominion. If this Church refused to move here we will be where we are for life. We may become a nuisance, we might be attending court everyday for disturbing the peace of the environment. God never moves backwards, it is always forward. There was a recent data found from the U.S. They carried out a survey and they found out that middle class people give 6.7 per cent of their income for the gospel while the upper class give less than 1 per cent. Whatever step you will take that will make you lose God’s backing, you won’t be caught in.
Grace for willful obedience, unreserved and tireless obedience is everyone’s portion tonight.
Your obedience is what will make you a high flier. It is instruction that makes you a successful pilot. There is no expressing of view there, this is one button to press. If you don’t press it, you are down. Your view? Do you know the engineering behind the equipment? God is the principal engineer of your life, He knows what can keep it high and what will drop it. No one here will drop. Let no day pass this year without you praying some items of Kingdom Advancement prayer. Let no month pass this year without you talking somebody into the kingdom, having prayed for him or her to be established. We are in need because we don’t know what we need.
No one will say No to Jesus anymore.
Every affliction is cursed, every disease is cursed.
Your health and wholeness is secured.
You walk in the will of God forever in Jesus name.
The sound of victory is always a loud shout. You don’t win a battle with mute mouth.
Nothing of evil overcomes you this year
There shall be no evil report as you protect and secure your walk with God.
Your confidence will pay off every step this year and it will become your lifestyle for life.

Someone posted a rather strange video yesterday. It’s about the burial ceremony of Aku Uka, the King of Wukari and the Paramount ruler of Jukum Kingdom. His corpse was sitted on a horse strapped to the back of a Young Man who is expected to escort the king to the great beyond, in the supposed land of his ancestors. It was explained that the enthusiastic crowd of thousands of young men, all half naked who excitedly followed the procession will stop somewhere, and only the young man with the corpse on the horse will proceed to the final place!
I read many comments, all condemning the act, as being extremely barbaric for this 21st century. Someone opined that the family of the young man will be settled with 5million naira, which was immediately refuted by the indigenes of the kingdom. According to them, the young man was a palace servant, and so understand the tradition, and deserve no compensation.
I tried to look up for comments and posts of the indigenes, and what I saw shocked me. They are happy with their tradition! They even wondered what is the business of those criticising them. This taught me few lessons. Christianity is a tribe! Outsiders don’t understand us! There are many of our practices outsiders find offensive! The scriptures say the way of the Cross is offensive to strangers. That’s why the social media is full of bashing of church leaders, practice and lifestyle. They just don’t understand us.
As this Jukum Kingdom practice looks so repulsive! The people are very happy, excited and feel proud of it! Why are we then ashame of the Cross of Christ! If this people can preserve this kind of practice, in the face of civilization, then, we can’t allow civilization to rob the church of her core values. We can’t subject the church to social media dictates. Truth is Truth, and it’s constant. If these people are not ashamed, then, we who hold a noble trust, must not be ashamed!
If someone can still volunteer to die for the sake of the kingdom, something of no eternal value! There’s no sacrifice that’s too big for the sake of Christ! As I watched that video, I appreciate the coming of Christianity to Africa! Many of those insulting the church on social media would have been sacrificed to the gods!!! Christianity has stopped thousands of these terrible practices, and will still stop the rest with time.
Thank God for the coming of Christianity to Africa. Thank God for the missionaries who paid the supreme price to bring us light! May this light continue to shine on the darkness of this world in Jesus name.

LACK OF UNDERSTANDING PLACES YOU AT THE SAME LEVEL WITH AN IGNORANT PERSON.
MANY OF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ENTER INTO THE NEXT LEVEL OF YOUR PROPHETIC DESTINY BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOT GAINED MASTERY ON THE WAYS OF GOD TO KNOW WHAT TO DO AND TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO DO IT.
KNOWING WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU IN CHRIST IS NOT ENOUGH; YOU MUST KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE THAT REVELATION BECOME A REALITY IN YOUR LIFE.

Hallelujah! Thank the Lord for His love over your life and over your destiny. Thank Him from the depth of your heart. Thank You Jesus; thank You for life and preservation. We give You all the praise, for in Jesus’ name we pray.
Let me start tonight by officially saying a Happy New Year to Everyone. That means, everything that wants to fight this year from being happy for you; upfront, we curse it in the name of Jesus! The Bible says; and whatsoever Adam called it, that was the name thereof. We choose to say, it must be a happy new year in the name of Jesus Christ!
I’ll like you to prophesy to yourself and everybody around you, including every spirit that; “This is my Year of Marvelous Light.” Church Gist. It’s our culture as a Ministry to dedicate the First Service of every year to expand on the prophetic word and that’s what I’ll be doing very briefly.
PRAYER: Speak to me, oh God, by the power of your Spirit in the name of Jesus.
The first thing I want to communicate tonight, very quickly before we pray is the idea of prophetic words. You’ll realize that when it has to do with yearly prophetic word, we have different views across the Body of Christ. There are people who generally believe that prophetic words are not needed. Church Gist. In fact, others may stretch it to believe that that is absolutely nonsense and based on how they explain it, they might be very right and correct from their perspective but then, I wrote something down here; “Yearly prophetic words can become a mere ritual (a church or denominational ritual) that has no life and no power in it.”
I further wrote here that; Knowing the Lord, growing in grace and accessing all the tools allocated for an effective Christian life has nothing to do with a new year or a prophetic Word. That means, as far as knowing the Lord is concerned, growing in grace and accessing the mysteries, the keys of the Kingdom that makes for an excelling life, whether it is January, November or December, the moment light comes, it has the ability to lift you up. So, it doesn’t necessarily have to do with a new year or the end of a year.
We grow and are established in this Kingdom every time we access the knowledge of the truth. However, in spite of the aforementioned, God is and remains a God of time and season. Church Gist. In as much as He does not dwell in time, but He carved out time and separated it into three dimensions; past, present, future – to be able to help man relate with Him. So, everything God does with respect to man, He does it in time, including His mercy.
So, God is and remains a God of times and seasons, His workings on earth and in the life of the believer also subscribes to the law of times and seasons. When Jesus Christ walked upon the earth as God incarnate, He did not violate the law of time and season, from His coming as a baby in the womb of Mary, He stayed patiently to subscribe to the law of time and season. Jesus was not born an adult; He was born a baby and the Bible records according to Luke 2:52 that Jesus increased, that means He grew with time. The Bible is not ashamed to show us baby Jesus, teenager Jesus at age 12 (learning), adult Jesus at age 31. These are all functions of time and Jesus Himself said, “I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is day.” He added timing even to His assignment.
When Jesus went to the cross and died, it was a function of time. After three days, He came back to life. So, it is not unscriptural when God guides people within the frame of times and seasons.
Yearly prophetic words reveal God’s emphasis to us per season and per time. God is not doing the same thing all the time. He has emphasis per season and per moment and yearly prophetic word affords us the opportunity to hear from God and to know what God is doing per season. It also helps us to know the roles that we have to play as far as our partnership with God is concerned. Church Gist. It also tells us the blessings that come as a result of discernment and alignment. So, when we open up our hearts to yearly prophetic word as believers and more so as a global family of faith, we accept this to mean that God is doing something within this season with us and we seek to find out His emphasis within this moment.
I’ve said it here but for the sake of emphasis, let me just bring it again that, there are three dimensions of the anointing: 1). The anointing that is within the believer by reason of being grafted into Christ.
2). The anointing upon the believer by reason of your call and assignment.
3). The grace that comes upon you by reason of discerning what God is doing within a season.
So, it is possible to have the anointing that comes as a believer, it is possible to have the anointing that comes upon your office as far as your contribution to Kingdom advancement is concerned and yet, not have the anointing that makes for relevance per season. Church Gist. So, it is possible to find out that certain people are greatly featured in God’s program per season and when God moves in another dimension (this is not backsliding), they are still there but not His current emphasis. There is always a grace that follows those who can through discernment and alignment understand what God is doing per season. Prophetic word helps us to know what God is doing so that we can release our faith.
1 Peter 2:9 The Bible tells us what you have been called out of darkness and what you have been called into is light. “You have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light.” It is the marvelous light that actually makes you a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar kind of people, that the prophets before now desire to walk in certain levels of truth but were not granted and that God reserve this body of truth (Marvelous light). Marvelous light means so many things, but that we are that generation that have been granted by the Spirit and by the mercy of God access to this body of spiritual truth that the Bible calls, not just light but marvelous light.
Light in scripture has always carried an expression of grace and power and an expression of God Himself. The few times that the Bible connects light to satan and that is to reveal him as a deceiver. For instance, the Bible says, satan appears as an angel of light. The Bible never says he is an angel of light and then, the Bible lets us know that historically, he was the light bearer, the son of the morning, he was the custodian of the mysteries of the kingdom. This was his assignment before pride and treason brought him down and he was judged to become what he is today. Church Gist. The Bible is also not afraid to let us know that, when God made him (satan), the light bearer, it was him who was allocated to Eden, the Garden of God and many things happened and he was driven out, then man came the remaining is history. But it is important for us to know that, light in scripture has always carried a positive connotation. We are going to look at a few of them, so that we really understand the implication of being custodians of marvelous light:
1). Light according to Scripture represents insight and illumination into the truth of God’s Word. Every time light is used in scripture, it is used to express insight and illumination (Ephesians 1:15-23). When the Bible talks about light and even marvelous light, it means supernatural and unusual access to illumination and insight.
Knowledge is very important in this Kingdom. This is a Kingdom where dominion happens at the instance of light and knowledge (Hosea 4:6, Psalm 82:5-7). Knowing what God has done for you in Christ is not enough; you must know what it takes to make that revelation become a reality in your life. Church Gist. There are so many frustrated Christians who continue to jump and say God has done this, the Bible says this and they are right but they are not complete because the goal is not just awareness, it must become manifest in your life. So, when God says it is our year of Marvelous light, it means by His Spirit, He’s going to be granting us access to high level of insight and spiritual illumination. That means, He will open to us, by His Spirit, the deep things as far as the knowledge of the ways of God is concerned and when you find knowledge, then you are already on course for a victorious life.
2). Marvelous light means also that God is going to be granting us understanding. There is a difference between knowledge and understanding; knowledge just means the awareness; the information that brings to you the awareness of a possibility. It does not necessarily mean that it must become your experience. Understanding is the next level. Church Gist. Understanding is such a powerful miracle, when you read the Bible, theologians omit miracles like the miracle of understanding, they don’t add it to the miracles of Jesus. Most times you will see the opening of the blind eyes, multiplying of bread but you don’t see them add understanding. But let me tell you, understanding is a powerful miracle. Remember the story of the Ethiopian Eunuch, he was reading the prophecy of Isaiah about the death of Jesus and he did not understand it at all. When Philip joined him, he said; “understandest what thou readest?” And he said, “how can I, except some man teach me.”
Acts 18:24-26; Job 32:8 Understanding is a gift; God gives understanding to men.
May that miracle happen to you in Jesus’ name!
The microphone is a gadget designed to amplify my voice. There are thousands of people that are able to hear me simply because I’m holding this device. It takes more than knowledge to use, it takes understanding. I can give you this mic to sustain the power to amplify your voice and ease your communication but if you do not know how to activate it, you can hold a mic that is so powerful and yet have the same result as someone that does not even know that there is a mic. Church Gist. Lack of understanding put you, even though knowledgeable at the same level with an ignorant person. It is very frustrating because the one who does not know and the one who is just aware will painfully have the same result.
Understanding is the fortitude for comprehension; the ability to know how to apply knowledge in a way that profit you. Understanding answers the question, “How?” Knowledge answers the question, “What?” Most people know what to do but they do not know how to do it. It is the same Bible that the rich and the poor hold, it is the same Bible that the mediocre and the great hold, in fact it may be the same Church and pastor, the difference is understanding. Hundred people can shout Amen and only two will have Amen manifest in their lives. It is not because the Word that came from the man of God is a lie, Amen came upon a head that is knowledgeable but there is no understanding. Understanding is a real miracle.
Mastery happens at the realm of understanding. The Bible says, he that strives for mastery is not crowned except he strives lawfully
It is my prayer that this year, God will take us away from guessing, just guessing what you think is the way and you can stand with confidence to say by the privilege of God’s mercy, I understand how this happens!
May you know what to do and may you understand how to do it in the name of Jesus Christ!
There are people who can cook for three – five people. Once they are three-five, that’s alright but the moment they become a crowd, the dynamics of producing the result change. There are people who can drive an ordinary small car, they will drive it with mastery but give them a truck, it is still driving but the dynamics change. Church Gist. When God gives you hundred members, there is a way to pastor hundred members, when God gives you one thousand, there is a way to do it. It is still pastoring but the dynamics change. Many of you are unable to enter into the next level of your prophetic destiny because you have not gained mastery on the ways of God to know what to do and to understand how to do it. You must cry for understanding.
3). Access to supernatural direction (Psalm 119:105). You’ve heard this example and I’ve given it myself that, no matter how excellent and how expensive a car is, the moment it is night, the most important factor as far as visibility is concerned is not the colour of the dark, the brand and the make of the car; it is the level the headlamp and the light that comes from it. Church Gist. So, men may laugh at you, let night come. You may look small but the factor that determines advancement; anybody can laugh when it is day but when the night comes, it is those who have high level spiritual illumination, when your headlamp is alive and active.
Psalm 43:3 Even darkness from afar looks like light. You will need high level of light to be able to discern between light and darkness in the days that we’re living in. John 11:9-10 Marvelous light means access to direction by the word of God, telling you what to do in a way that produces wonderful results in your life.
May that be your testimony in the name of Jesus!
4). Marvelous light means access to life (John 1:4). There is a relationship between light and life (John 10:10). Light did not just come so that you may see but so that you may have life and that you will have it more abundantly. Light is very important and life is important. We have so many teachings to deal with this year by the grace of God and one of it, we are going to be examining the concept of life, not life as living but the Bible says, if that same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in your mortal bodies; it tells you that there is an administration of life that happens to you by reason of passing through the womb of a woman and having blood. Church Gist. The life of a flesh is in the blood but that there is a kind of life that comes to you, not just because of the blood that you carry but by reason of the living Spirit of God that lives within you.
Let me tell you this, I don’t mean to scare you, I’m speaking to a global audience, but you see, this pandemic and many other things, what you see is not all that will happen. You will need more than injection, more than some treatment; you will need to have a revelation of another administration of life working within you. These are days where you cannot pretend that you know these things. The environment will test you.
Marvelous light means access to superior light. Now, it has become a Pentecostal cliché when we talk about the life of God dwelling within a man, no! It is true. Don’t feel bad that you may not have attained unto it experientially, it still does not matter. The Spirit of the living God representing the life of God, when He indwells the believer, there is a reaction that happens by reason of the presence of the Spirit that affects your body. Church Gist. The presence of the Holy Spirit does not just affect your spirit alone, it translates to your body. We have to know this, so that people don’t just walk around and die just because you can breathe; you will need to show the excellency of your connection with the spirit of life. This happened as we know historically in Spokane during the days of John G. Lake, that when the plague was killing people, that man seems to be invisible and immune to that plague and then they found out that he understood that God dwells in me; this is not just empty bragging that causes casualty, it is a revelation from Heaven.

The end time Church is ordained a Church of multitudes – Micah 4:1-2 “And people shall flow into it”: so we are moving from the area of growth to the realm of flow. A flow of people, in droves: that is the end time Church. It is ordained to operate in the realm of a flow, not just growth. That is God’s prophecy but the Bible says in 1 Timothy chapter 1 verse18, “…according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightiest war a good warfare;” 1 Timothy 1:18 Every prophetic Word, more often than not demands warfare for delivery. Every prophetic Word, more often than not demands spiritual warfare for delivery. Why? A great door and effectual is opened unto me and there are many adversaries – 1 Corinthians 16:9 This warfare is carried out on the prayer front, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood: it is a wrestle. But against principalities and powers – Ephesians 6:12 The same way Jacob wrestled and secured his destiny; recovered his destiny with a new name. Church Gist. We are called to wrestle on the prayer altar, to clear up the way, all the contentions of hell against God’s Word coming to pass. People hate the word, ‘work’, but whatever you don’t work out will lose worth. He said, “work out your salvation with fear and trembling” – Philippians 2:12 If you won’t work it out, you will lose worth openly. You will be upset with yourself. It is work that enhances worth. We can’t sit down there and expect to enter into the realm of a flow. We clear off the barriers on the way, for when a king fully armed keeps his palace, his goods are in safety; but when a stronger than him shall come upon him, “come on, get off your hands off these lives, come on, get off your hands off these individuals”, then He clears the way. But it is the prayer of faith that is required to win this war and that is why the exhortation line for our Covenant Hour of Prayer for this week is captioned:
THE PRAYER OF FAITH IS THE PRAYER THAT WORKS Ephesians 6:16
That family of the second testimony wrestled on the prayer altar, had their desire and made Kingdom Advancement prayer their platform for delivery and now the baby is here (documented testimony). This lady had this eye problem, a growth in the eye. To her surprise, a few days into the fast, the growth vanished, the pain disappeared, operation no longer required (documented testimony). It is her right but it will not be delivered without engaging the warfare of prayer and fasting.
While we are saying, “seek ye first the Kingdom of God”, we remind Him of what belongs to us that is yet to be made manifest. Church Gist. We remind Him and then He supplies it. Say with me, “The prayer of faith is the prayer that works.” Remember He says, “you have not because you ask not” – James 4:2 I have promised it, you can’t see it. Make demand for it. I said, “I am bringing the Church to the realm of flow and you are not experiencing that. Now, demand for it.” That is God’s ordination.
For today, we will look at the following facts: Faith is a means of engaging God’s capacity for delivery through the altar of prayer. “I am the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” – Jeremiah 32:27 And He responded in Jeremiah chapter 32 verse 17 “There is nothing too hard for Me” – Jeremiah 32:17 God has unlimited capacity to deal with any issue that concerns us. With men that may be impossible; with experts that may be impossible but not with God: for with God all things are possible – Mark 10:27 We are in a Church where God is doing unbelievable that if you were not there, you will not believe. Many don’t believe what is happening here. How can somebody be ovulating all through and yet gave birth to a child? Well, you may doubt the story but can you doubt the reality? Only fools doubt proofs. How can somebody be pregnant and not know until the day she was going to deliver? Ask! The child is still here. Only God can empower a woman at this age of ours where everybody that is 60 is looking 80. When you are 50 in some villages, “E pele O Baba” (Take it easy Baba) Somebody gave birth at 69!
You don’t work it out, you won’t be out. We engage God’s capacity to deal with those things that appear to be stronger than us. Doctors gave their verdict, “you have 2 more weeks to live.” God said: It is not Me who said so. Find out what I said, get into warfare and I’ll cancel it. Find out what I said! “You can never have a child”: That is the heresy of experts. They told someone, “What you have is fibroid.” She said, “No.” He said, “I am an experienced gynaecologist” “You can be experienced more than God, it doesn’t matter. No, that is not what God said”: The child was born. From fibroid to fine boy. This your God has no limit.
If He says, “there is coming a flow” and we do what He says we should do, the flow will be sustained; it will not only come but it will be on the increase. Church Gist. That is what we are entering into as a Church, as an aftermath of this prayer and fasting season. Do you believe that I, the Son of man, am able to do this? Yea Lord – Matthew 9:28 We must answer the faith question to secure answers. The faith question must be answered for anybody – Matthew 9:27-29 It has to be answered before anybody can secure answers to his prayers and faith is the function of the Word of God at work in your heart. “For with the heart man believeth” – Romans 10:10 Mark 11:23 Faith is the function of the truth of God’s Word concerning any given situation in your heart. It is in your heart and then you engage in battle with it because the Word is the sword of the Spirit: Stop that. That is what puts people on the offensive. “Stop that, devil” -Anything you shout down this season will go down. -Anything you command to be up based on His Word will be up. -This Church is going higher. Church Gist. You are flying higher.
Please don’t forget, faith is a product of the Word at work in your heart. Romans 10:10 With the heart, man believeth: believeth what? Believeth the Word concerning his issue, concerning the project. We have an enormous Church growth and expansion project for the Year. It takes faith on the altar of prayer to take delivery. “Let him ask in faith” – James 1:7 You don’t get nothing without faith: Nothing, nothing – James 1:6-7 You can cry from now till tomorrow, it won’t matter. Without faith at work in your heart, nothing comes down from Heaven. And a man can receive except it is given him from above – John 3:31 Nothing: it is the protocol. Prayer is worthless without faith. So when we say, “this is the scripture to engage”: engage that scripture. That is what holds value in God’s presence on the altar of prayer.
We cannot and we must not assume faith. Faith must be consciously cultivated. Romans 10:17 We have always seen it as hearing and hearing, but that is not where it stops. Faith does not grow by hearing, faith grows by a spiritual understanding of what you heard. “Do you understand what you read? How can I except someone should guide me?” – Acts 8:30 Acts 8:26-35 The encounter of Philip with the Ethiopian eunuch and when he opened his eyes by the help of the Holy Ghost, it was the man that said, “here is water, can I be baptized?” – Acts 8:36-37 Nobody doubts what he truly understands. Nobody ever doubts what he can see. Spiritual understanding is being able to see what God is saying, not just hearing. When you see, even if you are Thomas, you will believe. You can’t see something and doubt it Am I wearing black? You are sure it is not green? And it is not yellow? Why? Response: because they can see it Spiritual understanding is a booster of faith.
A woman in Europe read the Book, ‘You shall not be barren’, she now came out with light from Heaven. It’s not only Sarah that had passed the age, Abraham had over passed the age. It was not about sperm count, he had no more sperm count at all, that was below zero. She said, “from the lifelessness of Abraham and the deadness of Sarah, Isaac came”: that is not in that Book, that is spiritual illumination. Your ears shall hear a Word behind your teachers as they teach, “this is the way, this is what I am saying” – Isaiah 30:21 Work it out.
Through Word study
Through reading of Books that enhance your understanding – 2 Timothy 4:13 “Bring me the books and my notes”: that is Paul building his faith “I can do all things”: That is the realm of faith Paul operated in – Philippians 4:13 What an equation: straightforward We build our faith by the study of the Word and the help of the Holy Spirit that illuminates our understanding. We engage in prayer and fasting to boost access to light – Isaiah 58:8
That we hardly remember. One platform for boosting our spiritual understanding is meditation. Psalm 119:97 – “It is my meditation all the day long” You know what the Word says, “he being a prophet has seen afar off” – Acts 2:30 He enjoyed such level of illumination and one of the forces at work in his life was the force of meditation. “I have more understanding than my teachers because I keep thy precepts” – Psalm 119:99 He meditated his way to greater insights.
These are some of the ways to build our faith. When you hear that “build up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” – Jude 1:20 What the Holy Ghost is to bring to light the things you have understood that is needed in that battle. He doesn’t give faith. He helps you to scavenge, explore the things you have read as may be needed, “He reminds us of all things, whatsoever you have heard.” He can’t remind you of what you have not heard. “Pa pa pa”: that doesn’t build faith. Faith is built in the Word. It is the Word that stirs faith. The Holy Ghost does is to:
Teach you and me when we are looking at the Word. When we are studying the Word and we now need them, as we pray in the Holy Ghost, He sums them up, brings them to us, connects them one to another and then we use that as a multifaceted weapon against the devil. Sir, crying for 100 days won’t make any meaning to God. Without faith, it is impossible to move God – Hebrews 11:6 He rescued them from the fiery furnace. They were prayer giants. Their bodies had been yielded on the altar of prayer – Daniel 3:28 He rescued Daniel because he believed God, though he prayed 3 times a day, faith was at work in his heart – Daniel 6:10, 23 -This week will be far more impactful on the prayer altar for everyone of us. -No prayer altar will lack answers. With faith at work in your heart, which you have worked it into your heart. You work it into your heart, my friend. Everything of worth is work. Church Gist. No work works itself. Behind everything working is a worker. Everything of worth in our lives is work and no work works itself. Behind everything working is a worker.
Prayers: I receive grace to take responsibility to keep my faith on fire on the altar of prayer. I receive grace to stay actively awake, actively alive in the course of prayers and fasting. Others are swimming in testimonies, it’s my turn: so help me Jesus not to wander away in prayers, not to wander away on the prayer altar. Keep me focused. Enable me to get to the Word and access your wonders for my life, in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
You know that Moses collected all the Words of the Lord from Genesis to Deuteronomy through prayers and fasting. For 40 days, He was a fast writer. Where was Moses when God created the world? “Then shall thy light break forth as the morning” – Isaiah 58:8 He returned, they couldn’t look at his face – Exodus 34:29-30 -You will see light!!
Give God thanks and seize the day for high level productivity, high level fruitfulness. Seize the day for fire on your prayer altar. Seize today for light as you take on the Word. Pray that prayer, don’t just murmur it.
STAY HUMBLE: IT’S THE WAY TO SCALE GREATER HEIGHTS AND SOAR SAFELY.
THERE IS NOTHING YOU MAKE HAPPEN BY YOURSELF THAT HAS A FUTURE. IT’S ONLY WHAT GOD DOES THAT ABIDES FOREVER

The gospel is sent primarily to the wise, not to the mighty but to the common. Thereby turning them into uncommon citizens of the earth. That no flesh may glory in His presence.
No one here shall end up being called common.
For that to happen we must diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord and observe to do all that He commands and He will take us from below the bottom (zero level) to the top most top, from the realm of pity to the realm of envy. Paul said I am not even worthy to be called an Apostle and yet he became the chiefest of the Apostles. Church Gist. Gideon said I am not fit, I don’t think you have my records. I belong to the order of the least, there is no single person or renown in my lineage. He said “I am empowering you to smite the Midianites as one man” (Judges 6:16). He always turns the common to the uncommon.
You are the next in line.

The common people heard him gladly, that’s what turned them to uncommon citizens. 1 Corinthians 8:2.
Lift up your two hands everyone “I choose to be among the common that you desire to make uncommon. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29
He delights in the common because they will gladly hear Him and by hearing and doing what He says, He turned them to the envy of the world and because of the source of their rise, the source of their lifting. They have more grace to manage success than others who came in with their so much wisdom, so much might in their own eyes. Many won’t just learn, and by pride unconsciously lose their place in God. You must have heard me say “who dash monkey banana” many times. Church Gist. Oral Roberts’ mother told him “stay small in your own eyes”. It is what enlarges your walk with God and your destiny. There is nothing you make happen by yourself that has a future. It’s only what God does that abides forever. May God remain at the center of everyone’s heart. May we be glad to be called God’s pikins. May no one become God’s uncle in His own eyes. So we keep having more and more light and we keep shining brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.
I have the nudging of the Holy Spirit to share that with us this morning. For those who are hooked to this service this morning, stay humble. It’s the way to scale greater heights and soar safely. There are few people in scripture that successfully managed success. That should teach us some lessons.
The altar of prayer is the altar of transformation, change of level. It’s not the altar of Father Christmas, “give me give me”. Church Gist. The altar of prayer is the altar of transformation that is supernatural change of level of believers’ spiritual authority. Luke 9:28-29 said as He prayed the fashion of His countenance was altered on the prayer altar and then his garments were white and glittering. Then verse 35 – “this is my beloved son, hear ye him”. Change of level of authority. That’s what makes the prayer altar, an altar of supernatural transformation. What happened? The people saw the mighty power of God as that demoniac was set free who could not be held by chains, saw Jesus, ran to Him and bowed. Change of level of authority.
May that be the outcome of every one of us in this 2022 Annual Fasting and Prayer.
Our exhortation is captioned PRAYER DOES NOT ONLY CHANGE THINGS, PRAYER CHANGES PEOPLE. They saw Elijah, they saw Moses, they said Sir, let us stay here. He prayed until He brought heaven down. After the cloud lifted, his garments were still white and glistering. Reach out for that transformation power from the altar of prayer. Today is the second day of our third three day module. Church Gist. God I want to see you, I want a transfiguration experience on the prayer altar. Many of us here must have heard one kind of encounter or another from the altar of prayer. I have heard quite a bit. I am in fact inside it now. Awesome God. I have heard heaven sing while I prayed, never heard any such rich music in my life. I have heard Jesus come “Stand up” from the altar of prayer “and follow me” and I did. Did you see him? No! No one shall see him and live but what he told me and I responded is still here today.
You must return with a lifelong encounter in this prayer time.
“Give me, give me” is the primary level of prayer, “change me, change me” is what puts you in command. Everyone should expect to return transformed at the end of these 21 days of Prayer and Fasting. “For at the end it shall speak and thy expectation…”, your expectation is what determines your end.
Every one must return in command of the issues that are currently challenging your life. You will say “go” and it goes. Church Gist. You will say to the things you lack “come” and it comes. Just line up with His word and don’t feel smarter than what His word says.
No one here shall be listed among ex-breakthroughs, ex-frontliner, ex blessed believers in the name of Jesus.
Abraham, a passionate intercessor, heard God consistently and responded promptly. Unusual transfiguration, the man gave birth to his son at 100, was trekking 3 days at a stretch at about 114 years of age and was kicking at 175 because he called all His sons and blessed them one by one. Prayer changes people and it changes people by changing their level of authority. Level of authority implies a product of change of level of empowerment. In Luke Chapter 9:43 the people saw the mighty power of God.
That is our portion, that is your portion as individuals.
God is still in our midst and He will hear you and make you partakers of this transfiguration season.
How many common people are here? The agenda for you has good news. God is set to turn you into an uncommon, enviable citizen of the earth. Stay small in your eyes. Church Gist. Some fellows are just about one inch above sea level, they don’t write anything in church. They already know everything. “Bro David and I were friends when we were in primary school” stay there! There are only classmates in school, not in life. Each one finds his class in life.
Lift up your two hands and ask for grace to pray your way into the realm of transfiguration during this awesome time of prayer and fasting.
