The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) handed down from Heaven to Papa Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi in 1952 will be 70 this year.
It is 70 years of Divine Covenant with God to redeem the world and prepare a people for the return of Christ.
Church Gist is privileged to be part of those among others who will be at the forefront to celebrate the hand of God on this Church which began from humble beginnings. One more proof that Jesus Christ is indeed returning soon as he promised his servant the Founder.

The latest entrant into the commercial banking industry in Nigeria, Parallex Bank has officially launched on Friday, January 14, 2022, with the promise to redefine the banking landscape in Nigeria and Africa at large. According to Church Gist sources, the bank launch was graced by several dignitaries from both the private and public sector. Also in attendance were several celebrities who witnessed the unveiling of the bank’s logo.

Introducing the bank to the gathering at the bank’s headquarters in Victoria Island Lagos, the chairman of the bank, Dr. Pastor Adeola Phillips, CEO of Loveworld Nation said Parallex Bank is here to make a unique statement about what innovation can do in an industry that is constantly reinventing. She further stated that the bank will operate broadly with a competitive mindset, to disrupt the market and delight customers with very attractive offers. The goal is to empower the banking public and to drive convenient and efficient commerce through the bank digital platforms.

She added that the Parallex mobile app offers customers the freedom to do much more. The app will eliminate inconveniencies and hardships often faced by customers while carrying out transactions.

Corroborating the Chairman’s claims, the Managing Director of Parallex Bank, Mr. Olufemi Bakre, popularly known as Mayor, said the bank’s promise to its customers is to be an enabler of limitless banking. He established that Parallex Bank is the first bank in Nigeria to migrate from a microfinance bank to a commercial bank. According to him, the Parallex mobile app has unique features and benefits that are quite rare in this market. On the app, customers can choose to create their unique account numbers, increase their transfer limits, make five free transfers per day to any bank in Nigeria. They can request for free debit cards, which will be delivered to them for free. They will receive prompt responses to enquiries.
Beyond the app, Mayor added that customers will enjoy zero maintenance fees while current account holders will further enjoy up to 5% interest rate provided, they maintain a minimum average balance of N100,000 ($200).

The bank which began as a micro-finance bank is now a full blown commercial bank.

2. We are redeemed to enjoy health and vitality
   Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:4-5
   We have a heritage of health and vitality in Christ.
   “By whose stripes you were healed”: so it is a past tense settled heritage – 1 Peter 2:24
   3 John 1-2
   Now that it is settled, how do we get there?
   Feed on the Word. The spirit of man will sustain his infirmity – Proverbs 18:14
   Feed your spirit with the Word of life so it can remain in command of your body. The Word is the food of the spirit that keeps your spirit on its feet.
   Keep feeding. What does that imply?
   Proverbs 4:20-22
   The Word is the balm in Gilead, able to handle any situation of health in our lives – Jeremiah 8:22
   We partake of divine nature – John 1:1
   We partake of divine nature into our flesh and that nature is immune to sickness and disease – 2 Peter 1:4
   Wake up!
   -It is your turn to enjoy a lifelong season of health and vitality.

Someone was down in the hospital, 1986 with hypertension and high blood pressure. He got the Book, ‘Keys to Divine Health’ and was feeding on it. Church Gist. On Page 20, he found out, according to him, “that satan is not a gentle man, that the violent taketh it by force.” I didn’t write that there.
He (God) said, “You shall hear a voice behind your teachers, this is the way, go in it” – Isaiah 30:21
Elderly man. His daughter was a Doctor in that hospital. He said, “I am going home.”
No! He said, “I came here by myself. I am going home.”
I met him in 1996, he showed the letter I responded to, in his testimony. He said, “I am still hale and hearty.”
Whatever the Lord does shall be forever – Ecclesiastes 3:14

One French lady was reading the Book, ‘Winning Invisible Battles’. She said at a point, something walked out of her body and the oppression ceased.
The Word is the master balm in Gilead. Jesus was teaching and the power of God was present to heal. The power of God for healing is in the Word.
Don’t say, “I know it.”
One of my prayer points, I said, “Lord, help me to know You better this Year that I ever knew You.”
1 Corinthians 8:2
If it is not delivering, then you have not known it. If it is not showing to the level that it should show, you are not doing it, you haven’t found it.
-You will find amazing things this year.
-But the good news is every challenge on your health goes down finally this time.

In all of our Churches, it is announced this morning, that all through the week, every night before you go to bed, if there be any form of health challenge in your life, take a shot of the Oil, for the entire week.
Let me see the devil who will hang anywhere around you. The liquid fire will go in and consume every chaff in your system.
You know we are in a fast, we are not partaking of the Oil this morning. You drop it on your head. Now you go home and every night Sir, before you sleep. If you are an early sleeper, take it when you break your fast, so you don’t sleep away.
-Every hidden plague in anyone’s body shall be flushed out forever.
That is the responsibility.
“Is any sick among you?” – James 5:14
Call upon the elders of the Church, not call upon the Founder. Call upon the elders of the Church. Call upon those who are watching over you. Don’t look at it, that he is a small boy.
Call upon the ones who watch over your soul. Don’t look at your Zonal Minister: No, he can’t pray for me. Don’t die in silence. Church Gist. He didn’t say, “call for the Founder”; He didn’t say call for the Apostle. Call upon the elders.
They have prayed: the sick were healed, the dead were raised, so what are you looking for?
Let them pray over him

What are you looking for? To be raised up.
Early prayer now: my car is close to the door. So as I come out of the Church, I enter the car and go. Because we have just praying now and you have prayed for yourself and you are a believer. I must re-pray for you on the same prayer: No, No. Church Gist. Don’t misuse me
We have done feet washing now and you heard all the prophetic Words that went along and you are still lying down after feet washing! No, I am carrying my own home.
Today is the Anointing Service and it breaks every yoke. What other yoke am I to break? Just believe it.
And if you have challenges, all the Pastors who are going out, just call one of them, “please, can you get me two others, pray over me! Papa has said we shouldn’t come again.”
-Something is breaking forth in your life.

Prayer and fasting destroys the yoke of sickness – Isaiah 58:8
Because prayer and fasting facilitates access to outbreak of revelation and as the Word breaks forth into you, your health is restored.
-No more room for the devil.
-Your health will remain on top forever, in the name of Jesus Christ.

3. We are redeemed to enjoy hitch-free marriage
   Deuteronomy 32:30, Ecclesiastes 4:9
   Everyone’s life is supposed to be better than before he was married. Not better and worse.
   What must I do to enjoy a glorious married life? Very simple thing
   Let every husband love their wife unconditionally even as Christ loves the Church unconditionally, unreservedly – Ephesians 5:25
   Heart-rooted love.
   If you love someone, you won’t let him take poison, will you?
   “I love you. Anything you want to take, take”: That is not love. That is murder.
   As the head, you see danger: Stop. But in love.
   Wife: submit yourself to your own husband as unto the Lord – Ephesians 5:22
   But not into evil.
   Husband: “Can you follow me tonight?”
   Wife’s response: To where?
   Husband: “They don’t say it.”
   Wife’s response: Say it now.
   Husband: “No, they don’t say it. We are leaving home at 11:45 pm”
   Wife’s response: Is it prayer meeting?
   “No, but it is a meeting.”
   Wife: You tell me the meeting ooo, in the name of Jesus.
   I mean, I am just striking the balance.

“Obey your parents in the Lord”, not outside – Ephesians 6:1
Don’t be dragged into cults because of obeying your parents. Don’t sell off eternal life.
These are all checks, but they can be done in wisdom.
Anyone can wake up on the wrong side of the bed and then they come to him, “the thing you have been looking for, I will take you somewhere.”
You say, “they don’t mention it” but come with your wife. And you go there, they say, “bring your head”: they put mark and put one black thing. That is a mark that you are another devil’s meat, then the struggles multiply.
-God forbid. None of you will experience that.

When there is love, there will be openness.
“Where are we going? Who is taking us there? What is the matter between you?”
He is just a friend.
“Which Church does he go?” I don’t know.
“Who is his Pastor?” I don’t know
“Darling, I am afraid. It might multiply our challenges.”
Everything about God is open. In case anybody is hiding somewhere and coming to Church during the day, you are wasting your time.
A double minded person is unstable in all his ways. Let him not think, he shall receive anything from God – James 1:6-7
Friends, I have not added one thing to Jesus, since I met him some 53 years now. Not one thing to Jesus. More than sufficient any day.
That is why it is not safe to get into an unbeliever in marriage. You can’t tell where he is coming and where he will take you after you get there.
Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, it is a risk.
Crisis hinders us from having our prayers answered, so don’t give room to crisis in your marriage. It robs you of the privilege of answers to your prayers from your Father in Heaven.
Speak openly. Don’t record errors. Don’t rehearse errors. Don’t magnify errors.
“This is what you do every day”: Okay, how many days? 3 days in a year
-Peace has entered your home today.
-No one here will damage the future of your children.
What you do before them either builds them or breaks them.
All this, “you are stupid, you are mad”, before your children, some may vow never to get married, by what they have seen.
They see you lie and you are making them witness. They say, “this Christianity is fake” and early in the morning, “please get ready, we are going to Church.” After lying and making me a witness yesterday.
He doesn’t understand the gospel, he is confused.
Why? Because our lifestyle does not exemplify Christ, so they can’t have conviction.
-No more. None of our children will be lost by our own misbehaviour.
-We will live a decent life before God and before them. It will open up a future of favour to them. They will love God far more than you and I do.

When either husband or wife engages with his or her portion of this covenant, the other party will succumb. It is only a matter of time.
-No one will use his hand to destroy his home, in the name of Jesus Christ.

4. Every child of God is redeemed a fruitful vine.
   God has no agenda for barrenness for any of us. Barrenness in the body, barrenness in the works of our hands. It is not in God’s agenda.
   Deuteronomy 7:14 – That is God’s covenant with Abraham and his children
   -Therefore, I curse the siege of barrenness today.
   -There is no barren womb under this Service today that will not carry their children for dedication this year.
   -Your doctors will be surprised. God will restore everything that is out of order in your system because it is your birthright as a spiritual Jew.
   This was a proclamation to all the Jews – Deuteronomy 7:14
   -Nothing shall be barren around your life.
   -Your career shall not be barren.
   -Your business shall not be barren and your body shall not be barren.
   How do we get there? Thou shall serve the Lord thy God and He shall bless thy bread and thy water – Exodus 23:25-26
   1.Fruitfulness is our heritage in redemption because if you be Christ’s, you are now Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise – Galatians 3:29
   Whatever He said to His people, He said to us who are redeemed by Christ.
   The curse of barrenness was broken among all the curses in Galatians chapter 3 verse 13 and 14
   Galatians 3:13-14
   So it is our heritage.
   2.It is also our reward. It is our heritage and it is also our reward.
   Psalm 128:1-4
   God has concluded that you have children and they will sit around your table.
   -God will make it happen for someone here this time.
   Psalm 127:3
   I said humorously, “you are entitled to at least one, another one as a reward for your labour. You are entitled to minimum two.” But as many as you want, it is available.

Bless the name of the Lord. For light from Heaven. For a renewed love for God and zeal for the matters of His Kingdom; for unveiling the values and benefits of fasting and for showing us our heritage in redemption and how to access them and make them a reality in our lives.
Give Him thanks and praise.

I also charged in one of the meetings that no passerby shares an inheritance in a father, it is purely for children. There is no method to share the DNA of a family you don’t belong to. There is no method to share it, it is unique to that lineage.
If you are going to be here, be here.
If you don’t know where you should be, go to where you know you should be.
You have one life to live, don’t waste it.
I have been where they shared inheritance before, that I was a just a very close person, I am a relation but not a member of the family. They didn’t share for me. In fact, with respect, they will ask you to excuse them because it is an inner family stuff. It is father and children.
Prophets are true fathers to the people to whom they are sent.

1983, I sent Bishop Abioye to go and represent me in a place.
Somebody was approaching the meeting: Ohh, he said, “Brother David has come. Let’s rush”, referring to me, he (Bishop Abioye) was the one speaking. 1983.
One of my sons in the Lord who has his own Ministry, brought a case of someone who ran mad. He said, “I know you, you are Bishop David Oyedepo. I know you.”
I share a bona fide DNA of the places God connected me to: obviously, unmistakably, no argument.
If He chooses this place for you, belong there. Don’t be saying, “I don’t feel.” Feel what? No
“I don’t feel like doing it”: You don’t feel like obeying the instruction of your Father that is from the Word?
Any negative thing you feel is what befalls you!
-Evil will not befall you again
I prayed and I said, “Lord, engrace me to lead this flock under my shepherd hood to heaven at the end of their days”; it is one of my prayer line. It is number 15 on it.
If you are not interested in heaven, you don’t belong here. Church Gist. We shall all get there.

We are getting there in the name of Jesus
Zechariah 7:13
I am telling you what to do, you are saying, “you don’t believe in it, you don’t agree. Then how do you want Me want Me to give you audience? No” – Zechariah 7:13
“This is what to do”: No, I am not interested. “How can I be interested in your affairs?” That is God, He is a jealous God. We serve a jealous God – Exodus 20:5
Let’s come awake from our slumber and get on course and on track with the Kingdom lifestyle.

Let’s look at 4 plans that God has for us and how to step into them. Now, listen to me, no provision of the Kingdom will ever deliver without aligning with the terms of delivery. No.
You don’t pray: there won’t be answers.
You don’t ask questions: He won’t show you what the answer is.
You don’t pray and fast: You’ll have yokes all around.
You don’t study the Word: You are starving your spirit man, so you go from weakness to weakness until you are down and out.
Your position is so high, that God is too low: God forbid. That you connect on time before it is too late.

One time I was preaching on prosperity in America and everybody’s ear was up.
Who could have imagined that someone from the 4th world!
The problem is people are in a hurry. Even Jesus came as a baby, then He became a child. He became an adolescent. Then He became a man, He became a Son.
“They went and saw the Baby Jesus” – Matthew 1
“The Child grew” – Luke 2:40
“This is My beloved Son” – Luke 3
“Hear ye Him”: Authority – Luke 9
People don’t want to grow. Church Gist. They just want to scale.
They say, “on your marks”
Response: All I do is running.
“On your marks”: He is on his marks already. He is permanently on his marks till he can stand.
Don’t ask a child who cannot stand to run, it will be wickedness. He takes us through a process.
There was one night, Midweek Service in Kaduna, there were only 2 people there. So I called them, I said, “Steve, how was the Service tonight?”
He said, “Great.”
I said: What was the attendance like?
He said: We were 3; two of us and Jesus. He is in the midst of His people
I said: Praise the Lord, we are moving.

You have to be a baby first before you become a child. You have to be a child first before you become an adolescent. You have to become an adolescent before you become a Son. Then a Son with authority is the next stage.
People are in a hurry.
God will advance you supernaturally, not overnight. He advances you little by little; little by little, to where your stamina can carry.
But it is not correct to be running a 4-year course for 10 years. You are not moving.
Little by little: means you are moving consistently.
My heart is just open to you. I want you to know that this God never takes advantage of people. He only invites you to take advantage of Him.
“This is My plan. Are you interested in the outcome? Plug into it. You are not interested, it is your choice.”

Let me harass you a bit. Every living Winner owes God one soul a month.
If you like abuse me, it doesn’t change me. I already used to it.
If I am truly your father. I won’t tell you how much fund is involved in chasing after these people that we minister to. It is not necessary. What I have, He owns everything.
Then you can’t get one soul or you are a scatterer of the sheep.
“Are you going to Church today? I am not going ooo, in my own case. The journey is too far”: A scatterer. Then let God scatter your life. Just keep your trouble to yourself.
You know there is nowhere to hide. God knows everything about everybody.
“I am not bringing one soul”: somebody is saying that in his mind now.
Others will add your own to theirs. You will discover there is no gap. Zero gap.
He told me, He said, “I have not called you because you are smarter or better than anybody else. I have only given you a privilege. Should you abuse, there are better hundreds at the door.” That was 1982.
Better hundreds!
I shouted it at the Power House meeting.
I said, “you are not here because God needs your offering. All that you will earn till you die cannot run this place.” The Ministry had no footing (then). Some got angry, it was good for me. They got angry and we saw them no more. That is okay, but God was there and He is still here.
-You are going places.
-Your own testimony will be far more impactful if you will do what others do to get there.

We will look at these 4 plans and I believe each one will engage if you are interested in the package.

1. We are redeemed to be more than conquerors
   Colossians 1:13
   We are redeemed from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of light and the dominion of light over darkness is eternally unquestionable. We are redeemed to be more than conquerors. Wherever light shows up, darkness backs off: no argument, no debate, no contention.
   When we are saved, we become children of light – Ephesians 5:5
   Children of light will be more than conquerors in the midst of darkness, any day, any time. Darkness can’t launch an attack against the child of light, it can’t survive it and it knows. Darkness knows.
   As a believer, you are a child of light, redeemed to live a more than conqueror’s lifestyle. He keeps that light burning by the Word.
   The entrance of His Word gives light: fires up the light, sustains the light, keeps the light brighter
   Psalm 119:130
   If you are not a Word addicted believer, don’t watch your lamp go off.
   As your child of light, I never knew I was seated above principalities and powers but I found it before I was called to Ministry.
   All this, “I am a Minister of God”: it doesn’t add anything to anybody.
   “I am Founder”: What have you found? Jesus founded His Church before He left.
   “I will build My Church”: Were you there when He said it?
   So He is the Grand Founder of the Church, He just gives us for the time being over His assembly.
   Light!
   I found I was redeemed as a King to reign on the earth, 1970. Where is Ministry that time?
   It impacted on my outlook, that I am a king. Kings don’t shout on the streets, kings don’t wrestle in the open.
   If the King is fighting his wife, when people are coming, he will just say, “I love you” and keep his kingship.
   “What I said to you the other day was because people were coming. Now they are gone, I will deal with you now.”

The Word is what keeps our light shining. “Let your light so shine” – Matthew 5:16
The Word is the Oil in our lamps and that keeps you and I to manifest the validity of our being children of light in a world of darkness.
Psalm 74:20, Ephesians 6:12
We live in a world of darkness and when you become a child of light and you are walking as a child of light, darkness keeps clearing the way for you.
-The things that used to stop you before will never succeed again.

We brighten this light further and further by engaging in prayer and fasting which is the platform for outbreak of revelation.
Isaiah 58:8
Fasting and prayer enhances access to explosive revelation that turns your ordinary electric bulb to neon light and to flood light.
What I experienced in 1982 was a breaking forth of light on prosperity. I was swimming in that river of revelation.
What I encountered in 1981 was an explosive revelation on “thou shall not borrow, yet I will bless you and you will lend to many nations.”
Why?
1.The borrower is servant to the lender.
2.You cannot serve two masters.
-This year of release which includes the release of every debtor. Every debt on your life will go finally to rest.
-Every debt hanging around your neck will go finally to rest.

We have never borrowed and God is here. Church Gist. Yet we have never lacked.
How much will you borrow to run this project? 75 Nations additional this year. By force, by ‘tulasi’, but the hand of Jesus. By the mighty hand of Christ, we will announce here that we have exceeded it.
-That is how God will engrace you exceedingly, above all that you can ever ask or think.
When we say if you have contacts in any Nation where we are not present, supply the contact. Don’t do as if they are going to be using the people here. I mean members of this family, not just somebody from your village. Members of this Church who are stewards from whatever Country they are working and then we use them as contacts for access.

“Hello, are you in so, so Country? Okay, the Church is coming on there, expect someone tomorrow.”
We got to Nations we never knew in Africa and no contacts, but divinely orchestrated.
In CAR (Central African Republic), it is a French speaking Nation: I prayed for them, I said, “start going.”
3 days to the time, God spoke to a French lady that, “2 Missionaries are coming from Nigeria, get to the airport. Next tomorrow exactly. Get to the airport and bring them to your house, they are My messengers.”
