TO EVERY PHYSICAL ADVANCEMENT OF THE KINGDOM, THERE IS A SPIRITUAL OPPOSITION.
THERE IS A GRACE REQUIRED TO REMAIN ACCEPTABLE IN OUR STEWARDSHIP.

Covenant Hour of Prayer || 16th April 2022. Our line of exhortation for the week has been: SOUL WINNING IS WARFARE. We established from God’s word that while God wants all men saved, there are great oppositions of the power of darkness against the salvation of men. 1 Timothy 2:4, 1 Corinthians 16:9. Church Gist. We are engaged in a contention. To every physical advancement of the Kingdom, there is a spiritual opposition. Matthew 16:18. That is why soul winning can be said to be warfare. I like us to take note of the following points and I believe that the Spirit of God will grant us light that will ensure our victory in the name of Jesus.
- We have a compelling mission to pull people out of darkness into light. Luke 14:23. We have a mission of compelling, we are not just inviting them to come, we are compelling them to come and be settled in the house of God. But that is not just a common mission because it is taking people out of darkness and bringing them into the light. Colossians 1:13, Acts 26:18. So it is a forceful mission taking them from darkness to light, taking them from under the cover of the power of Satan unto God.
- We must break the power of every satanic stronghold out to resist our converts from being established in the faith.
The mission does not conclude with them being compelled to come. The mission continues in the power of darkness, breaking off their lives so they can be established and settled. Luke 11:21-22. There is a strong man that is trying to keep them captive and to hold them bound and it is our duty via spiritual engagement to break off the power of darkness against every convert that God gives to us. Church Gist. Ephesians 6:10-12. We are contending in a spiritual battle against the forces of hell seeking to keep our converts bound. Every time we go out to win souls, we are contending with the power of darkness that doesn’t want to release the souls. After the souls are saved, we are contending with the powers of darkness that will cause the souls to return back to their vomit. It is a contention that is continuous at various levels until the souls are settled, established and fervent in the faith.
- We must also continue to demand grace for our new convert to serve God acceptably to the end.
It is not just about praying to see them saved, we must pray for the grace to rest on each one of them so they can serve God acceptably to the end. Hebrews 12:28. There is a grace required to remain acceptable in our stewardship. That is the grace we keep praying for concerning our converts. Acts 26:22. There is a portal of grace that we connect to on the altar of prayer so that our new converts are not just saved, they are not just established but so they are consistent in stewardship and it is that consistency that allows God to decorate every area of your life. Church Gist. 1 Corinthians 15:58. The kind of stewardship that produces results is the kind that is steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding. The one that never relents, the one that is consistent and that is what we are praying for each of our new converts. So it is a spiritual operation from start to finish. It is spiritual warfare from start to finish. We engage the forces of darkness to see their salvation, we engage the forces of darkness to see to their establishment, and we engage the throne of grace to see their enablement in serving God to the end.
Prayers – Lord, I receive grace for effective engagement in this spiritual contention. Grace to engage victoriously in this spiritual operation.
