A MAN WITH GRACE CANNOT BE HIDDEN. A MAN THAT CARRIES GRACE TO THE DESERT, THE CITY WILL FOLLOW HIM. IF YOU HAVE TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU’RE HONOURED, YOU LACK GRACE.

ANYBODY THAT TELLS IMPARTATION IS SIMPLE HAS NOT YET BEEN IMPARTED BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE GONE THROUGH THE CRUCIBLE OF IMPARTATION, IT IS TOUGH

Listen, there are ancient mantles that are looking for current vessels to fill. I don’t know how hungry you are but I’m not satisfied with anything around me. I’ve not seen anything that satisfies me yet. Church Gist. Ancient mantles looking for current vessels. I want you to understand that as we’re singing and ministering, something is dropping.
A true story; my children would be somewhere in the auditorium, and we were playing one of (the song) my mentors that has a visible mantle on me and my son looked at me and said, “are you the one singing?” He said, ” he sounds just like you”. Church Gist. The difference in age may be about 50 years, “daddy, you carry what this man carry”.
If you come and carry handkerchief and go, you lost it. What now happens the day you forget the handkerchief? Church Gist. As a young Christian, I used to put handkerchief in my pocket everyday as I’m going to preach. I said one day, “what happens the day I will forget it? So, nothing will happen?” You can become a mantle yourself and I want you to understand that only a partaker has the right to teach you about partaking. Church Gist. Until you carry something visible that people can look and say “that is this man”, then you can’t look others to partake. I am a visible partaker of mantles, not of handkerchiefs.
The day visible mantle dropped on me was in 2011 at Shiloh and I was away in South Africa, the mantle came heavily and ministry switched. Church Gist. I want you to look beyond the handkerchief, I want you to go for ‘Powerkerchief’ and it is only a reality by your heart. Church Gist. My generation is crying for a revival, not church service. A visible revival, not church attendance, we are talking of Shekinah Glory filling the place.
Bishop Oyedepo never met Smith Wigglesworth but the mantle dropped and He has not changed. He still gives ancient mantles to current vessels. Church Gist. That’s why we sang the song, “Holy Ghost, you and I will change the world”, change the world, not the change the village or state.
In our lifetime, people will travel to come and see where the fire is burning.
Prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus. Father, our hearts are ready and our hearts are set. May this mantle not just be handkerchiefs that we touched but may it be a visible grace that speaks upon our lives. We give you all the praise in Jesus’ name.
The last day is the day of impartation, it is grace that makes great, it is grace that creates room. He said, “The gift of a man will make room for him”. Church Gist. What the Bible calls gift is grace. The more graced you are, the more room you’ll have. You get to a point of grace where room is automatically created because of what you carry. But hear this, it is only those that tarry that carry (Luke 24:49b). Church Gist. There is waiting period between desire and encounter. I desire grace but I have to tarry to encounter grace.
Grace is real but grace is at a cost. If you have to say you carry the mantle of a man, before people begin to draw similarities, my friend, you don’t carry it. Church Gist. My assignment is simple this morning, the last day, day to carry if you have tarried. I’m not ministering healing, that’s not the assignment today, that was with the word. This is the moment to carry mantle and grace. A man with grace cannot be hidden. A man that carries grace to the desert, the city will follow him. Church Gist. If you have to introduce yourself before you’re honoured, you lack grace.
- For many of us, this is the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. 28th of October, 2018, the first message I preached here, I said, “The Lord told me, it is your time and it is your turn”. Church Gist. But I’m leaving you today with the grace of the Lord, Jesus and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Ghost.
2 Kings 2:1-15. The encounter is clear between Elijah and Elisha and I saw 7 things that happened that I’ve not heard anybody preach about. Church Gist. Look at these seven things.
- It is company that determines what accompanies you. Elisha could not have carried the grace except companying with Elijah. Church Gist. There are people that look at me, to the glory of God, and say, ” I see Bishop Oyedepo in you but I see about 7 other people also”. The caution is this; if you have the privilege of company, don’t abuse it, if not, grace will not flow. I have not met Evan Roberts one on one, but I am company with him, reading and digging and eating. I see the fire of Charles Finley and I say, “What! What are you talking about?” Who do you follow? If you follow an engraced man, it’s only a matter of time and if you follow one who lacks grace, even the grace you carry will disappear. Church Gist. It is company that determines what accompanies you.
- 2 Kings 2:2 Those that tarry for grace carry Grace. Hear me, I’ve never seen myself as a pastor of a local Church, I’ve seen myself as a promise to my generation. It is a choice. There are those that pastor local Churches, there are those that pastor global Churches – it’s a choice. Church Gist. If you want to carry grace, then you must tarry for grace.
- 2 Kings 2:3. Those that can discern the times that can carry grace. There must be discerning of times. I knew 2011 was the time I had to carry grace if I will matter to my generation. The time was clear. There are people that might have heard of the time, there are others that have discerned the time. Church Gist. Don’t get emotional when you should be discerning the time.
- 2 Kings 2:7. It is those that continue in following that will carry the Grace. “If you will carry the Grace upon this commission, you will follow everywhere”. God’s servant moves, everywhere, he goes. Church Gist. The same applies to every other grace. You can’t matter to this generation without carrying some degree of power for the miraculous, you can’t. Why view afar off when you can be a partaker nearby?
- 2 Kings 2:10. When it comes to impartation, it takes a specific request. How specific are you? Every grace I have encountered, I say, “Lord, take what is on the vessel and place it on me”. Church Gist. I don’t want money, I don’t want accolades. I’ve not learnt to speak like anyone, when the grace comes, there are times it influences how you speak. Specific request. I don’t know what you see in this commission that you desire, be specific. Still on number 5, I saw something that troubled me; Elijah said to Elisha, “ask me the thing that you want”. Elisha said, “I have been under your tutelage for long, I don’t want a thing, I want your spirit”. 2 Kings 2:9. While others are asking for things, those who are imparted are asking for persons. “Take your spirit and place upon me”. Church Gist. “Whatever makes it work for you is what I want, I want your personality, I want your engine”. I don’t have to look like Bishop Oyedepo to carry the engine, the engine is here. I don’t have to look like Evan Roberts to carry the engine, it is here. Church Gist. I don’t have to be Kathryn Kuhlman to carry the engine, I don’t even have to be a woman to carry it. Grace is not gender limited.
- Impartation (I want to challenge your theology) is hard thing. Elijah said, “You have asked a hard thing”. Anybody that tells impartation is simple has not yet been imparted because if you have gone through the crucible of impartation, it is tough – Nights on the mountain, crying before the Lord, they say, “what of food?”, You say, “forget food”. Church Gist. It’s a hard thing. How hard it was for Elijah
- It takes sensitivity to know the catch-up moment. Why? As they were talking, he was caught up. It’s strange. How do you focus in the midst of a discussion. How do you catch up someone that is taken by the fire? Do you understand the kind of speed of whirlwind? 2 Kings 2:11-12. Let me shock you. Church Gist. There’s no mantle that goes back to heaven, the mantle always remains, the issue is, who caught it? Kathryn Kuhlman didn’t go up with it, Archbishop Benson Idahosa didn’t go up with it, Evan Roberts didn’t go up with it, so ancient mantles are still hovering on the earth.
Hear this, your Elijah doesn’t have to go to carry it, I’ve told people and I’ve said it to the glory of God, Bishop Oyedepo never has to visit where I am because whatever would have happened if he came happens while I was there. Church Gist. It is not “what are you saying?” I know what I carry, and when I carried it and from who I carried it and to where I carried it. The choice is yours.
- Lord, I want this visible mantle upon me that will make a difference to my generation.
The Lord asked me to make it very clear to you that you don’t have to change your personality to carry a mantle, you don’t. In some nations in the world, you have the body of a car that looks a certain way but the engine is different. Church Gist. Be you and be authentic, the church is filled with too many fake people, pretenders of the highest order, therefore can’t carry grace. I don’t know what you have seen in this commission that you desire, but the template I gave you can work for anybody.
If Elisha could ask for double, then I can ask for multifaceted grace of several individuals. Now, let me shock you. What is in Bishop Oyedepo includes Benson Idahosa, Enoch Adeboye, Kenneth Copeland and Smith Wigglesworth, so what is wrong if I carry others too? Church Gist. Inside the Bishop Oyedepo one in me, are several others, then I now add Evan Roberts, Kathryn Kuhlman, Benny Hinn. What is your problem? Add the one you want.
You tell me, “I don’t believe in healing”, you have not yet been sick. When you’re sick, you’ll believe in the healing power of God like I was.
Now these mantles have been blessed, the truth is, it depends on the state of your heart, as this is passed across to you, whatever you desire that it carries is now released upon you in Jesus’ mighty name.
And when the mantle was received, it had to be tested. The mantle on your life you’re afraid to test, you don’t carry and what happened? 2 Kings 2:14.
It’s the last service so I’ll tell you a secret. Last miracle service that we had here, you saw the man that climbed up, came with a stick and all those things, it’s when I got home, I told my wife, I said, “this thing works”. There are graces you may carry but you need to refresh. Church Gist. As I was leaving that day, there’s a patriarch of faith, he has gone home to be with the Lord, a portion of anointing oil they used, I got hold of it, anywhere I go, that oil follows me. As I was about stepping out of the house, God said, “go back, you need a refresh” and places that mantle on my head, it became as though I was whirlwind, two Sundays ago.
If you truly follow, truly follo and truly carry grace, you don’t need to say, ” I did what I did” until the deed is done. Put the grace you say you carry to a test.
When I was coming here, Bishop Oyedepo looked at me and said, “your assignment among others is singular, go move the church into our own property”. It was somebody that reminded me yesterday, he said, “exactly 3 years when you stepped feet here was Faith Dome dedication”. Church Gist. There’s what they call ‘Builders mantle’, it is a Nehemiah order of grace where if you like carry a man to a scattered place, he will rebuild it. So if this mantle of this commission stepped on you, what we want from this commission differ, some people want prosperity, that’s not what I want, it may shock somebody. Church Gist. So our things differ, if you are to ask for one thing, some of you, it’s prosperity you will ask for, that’s not my one thing and it’s not because I’ve not lacked things before but I know what can bring the things. Now, you have the mantle of this commission, if it doesn’t work, then you didn’t get it.
- Lord, may this mantle upon my head equal the mantle upon my life in the name of Jesus.
