14th August 2020: Bishop David Oyedepo announces the plans to plant 592 Churches the next day, Sunday 15th August 2020; in continuation with the planting of Churches during COVID-19 by Winners Chapel International. The endeavour was part of the plans to plant 10,000 Local Churches in one year.

14th August 2022: Most Reverend Oliver Ali Aba is elected as the Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria at Methodist Cathedral of Unity Abuja during the 48th/13th Biennial Conference of the Church. He is the current Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria.

14th August 1993: Twin siblings Emmanuela Mike-Bamiloye and Emmanuel Evbuoma are born. Emmanuela Mike-Bamiloye is the wife of Damilola Mike-Bamiloye, a Drama Minister and one of the Conveners of True Talk. Emmanuel Evbuoma is known for featuring in the True Talk episode: ‘How I Overcame Addiction’.

14th August 1915: Peter Derek Vaughan Prince is born in Bangalore India. He was a Theologian, Missionary and Pastor. He was also the Founder of Derek Prince Ministries and Derek Prince Legacy Radio. He passed on to glory on 24th September 2003 and was succeeded by Dick Leggatt.
