26th June 2022: Virginlight Global Church is officially inaugurated in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Virgin Light Global Church was founded by Pastor Dr. Raf Otono and his wife, Pastor Bukky Otono.

26th June, 2022: The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), the umbrella body of all Pentecostal churches in Nigeria, declares Permanent voters card (PVC) Sunday in the Country. This was done to encourage Christians to pick up their PVCs in order to vote in 2023 Nigeria general elections.

26th June, 2022: An Edo Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Christopher Odia, is abducted and later killed by unknown armed men on his way to Sunday Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church Ikabigbo, Uzairue, Edo State.

26th June, 1984: Noble Alexander, a Seventh Day Adventist pastor, lands in Washington D.C. after 22 in a Cuban prison because of his faith. Noble Alexander was arrested, convicted and imprisoned by President Fidel Castro’s government in 1963 having been falsely accused of conspiring to assasinate the president and distributing ‘opium’ (religious teachings) to the Cuban Population.

26th June, 1968: Pope Cyril VI of Alexandria, President Abdel Nasser, and Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia inaugurate the new Cathedral of Saint Mark in Cairo, Egypt, a prominent Coptic church building.
