When you listen to Tye Tribbett, you will realize that God has blessed him beyond doubts. It is very obvious from his songs that he is enjoying the various gifts God has bestowed on him. Tyrone Tribbett is a gospel musician, keyboardist, choir director, song writer and a Pastor.
Born in a small town in New Jersey called Camden, on 26th January 1976 to a Minister mother: Neicy Tribbett and a Pastor father: Tye Tribbett II. Tye was brought up in a Сhrіѕtіаn еnvіrоnmеnt as his family was active members who participated in all the activities of the Church.
Young Tye usually invited other aspiring singers to his home, and they would make music in the family garage. “Then, every Sunday I would stand in front of the Choir and eventually the music that we were playing in the garage became full instrumentals,” Tribbett recalls. “I started putting words to some of the music and I was like, ‘Oh my goodness! I think we are writing here.’ So we would get together on a Saturday and teach the songs and perform them in church the next day.”
He completed his education in New Jersey. He was musically active during his school days; he participated in musicals and theaters. In 2000, Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing, (G.A) a group he assembled went on a tour with Faith Hill. This tour brought him into limelight; he gained attention and started to have his own fan base. His first studio album released in 2004 was titled ‘Life’.
Tye Tribbett and G.A made their mark in the music industry in 1999 – 2005 performing with several great artistes and appearing on various stages. In 2009 after several records, Tye retired GA, releasing them to pursue their goals. Afterwards, with a new administration and style, he released an album with Columbia Records titled ‘Fresh’ in 2010. In 2013, ‘Greater Than’ and ‘The Bloody Win’ was released on the Motown Gospel label.
The talented musician and multiple Grammy Award and Soul Train Music Award-winning Tye Tribbett is also a loving husband, father of two beautiful daughters and a Pastor. He and his wife Shante Tribbett currently Pastor at their newly launched ministry, Live Church, located in Orlando, Florida.
Tye Tribbett music brings serenity to the soul, his music is popularly accepted by all age groups and he has been a blessing to all.
