Isaiah 11:1-5
God solves a nation’s problems by raising people filled with the Spirit of God. We are the solution.
When Jesus came, the people were disappointed because they expected a rebellion or an insurrection but Jesus was filled with the Spirit of God and he picked ordinary men to function by The Spirit.
We describe the problem by positioning ourselves as not the problem, therefore positioning ourselves as victims. You are not a victim, you are a leader.
We are the answers, as bad as the situation may seem to be the potential for the solution is in the problem.
The potential for light is in the darkness. It is better to light the candle than to curse the darkness. You are light.
What are you seeing, what are you saying, are you focusing on the darkness or on the light?
What fills your conversations?
When we take our eyes off God, we get overwhelmed by situations and circumstances.
Isaiah 11:6-9
There are shoots coming out of Nigeria’s storm.
There is good coming out of evil.
It’s not so much about what others are doing but how much you will do?
The Holy Spirit will build your character. Opportunities are coming, it will be too late to start building it then.
Build your competence, educate yourself, volunteer, serve as an apprentice, prepare for what is coming.
When you have people whose character has been shaped by the Holy Spirit, they are filled with love and they are competent.
We have roles to play, being filled with the Spirit of God.
The change begins with you.
PRAYERS
Lord fill me with your Spirit, use me like you used Jesus, open my eyes to see the future you have prepared for me, help me to recognise my role and give me the courage to stand for truth and justice and to make the world a better place.
Father, we are grateful because whenever a nation cries for change, you send them a baby; a baby Moses, a Jesus in a Manger but with time massive changes take place. Father for the sake of Nigeria and the world we ask that you fill everyone with your Spirit.
I pray for every young person, every child, every teenager, everyone in their 20s and 30s especially, because Lord you have great expectations of them but our world wants to destroy them even before they start. I pray on their behalf, I rebuke Satan by the blood of Jesus Christ and I declare everything Satan has built to destroy them collapses in the name of Jesus.
Father let them see dreams and visions, let them sense destiny, give them the courage to sidestep methods that did not work before in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen
