DIRECTION AND REST
DAYSTAR CHRISTIAN CENTER Online Service.
Psalm 23:1-6, Mathew 11:28-30
We enter into rest when we find alignment with God’s plan and purposes for our life.
Divine direction is the basic requirement for rest.
To enjoy God’s guidance, we must acknowledge him as our Shepherd.
John 10:27-29
David leveraged the circumstance of staying alone with sheep and used it to build a relationship with God.
Humans are our greatest sources of distraction.
The truest things you will ever know about yourself is what God tells you.
If you allow human beings to label you, they will mislabel you and this will send you off in the wrong direction.
God wants to be intimate with us.
James 4:8
When you find God, the things that other people are chasing after, will chase you.
Psalm 63:1-8
When you have found God, you have found everything.
When you keep your focus on God, you will lose sight of your circumstance.
Romans 10:17
It is difficult to recognize somebody’s voice without hanging around them.
We need to fellowship more with God so we can get acquainted with his voice.
Our time with God is not supposed to be a distraction from the supposed “important” things of life.
Mark 1:35
We are not spending enough time with God because we are chasing after people and things.
Deuteronomy 28:2
Believe that God loves you dearly and dangerously.
Never believe Satan’s lie, he will deceive you to make you think that things are not okay between you and God.
God will not allow a trial to come your way unless he wants to use it to promote you.
Beware of legalism, drop your religious load.
Many people know Psalm 23 but they don’t know the Shepherd.
Use this pandemic to get close to The Shepherd.
PRAYERS
Heavenly Father we are grateful because we know that everything you do for us is out of love.
Father reveal your love to everyone who is part of this service. Give them the assurance of your love.
Become the Shepherd of our lives. Lead us in the place of peace and rest and when we walk through the valley of death, be with us Lord.
Father engage someone’s life, let the days of ignorance come to an end.
Let your power rest on everyone that is a part of this service.
Anxiety and confusion gives way to peace. What seemed confusing will become a testimony, in Jesus name we pray. Amen
