Like Jonah, God Rescued Me From The Frustration and Pending Suicide of Escaping His Purpose For My life.

My ordination is a life changing testimony of Mercy. My victory story is for ministers of the Gospel, especially those still battling with alternative pathways in life. The calling of God is high and prestigious but also a privilege. So we must strive to align with the essentials of its spiritual demands and requirements.
I was trained as a Professional accountant and had several options to sail through life; to be a preacher wasn’t one of them! God frustrated all other efforts to narrow down these alternatives to a single possibility which is to preach His Word.
I went job hunting to no avail. At one point I thought I was under a kind of spell, especially as I watched my friends attain heights and achieve their goals in life. ChurchGist.I scaled through Prayer houses seeking for deliverance, I felt stagnated – certainly the demon was my blindness and inability to sense the bigger picture of my calling as a Minister of the gospel.
Life can be very frustrating when you are out of God’s plan for your life. It puts a halt to establishment and retards growth. It cages resources, opportunities and frustrates the efforts of true fulfillment; helpers of your destiny remain far-fetched till God helps you locate the right path destined by Him for you.ChurchGist.I was born again in the mid 90’s, and also preaching the gospel zealously but God wanted me ordained and separated into the gospel path as a WORK.
Finally I picked up a “little Job” as a financial manager at the stores account department of my Municipal council. This is it! I screamed thinking it was over with the dilemma. Sooner or later, I began understanding the difference between my “job” and my “Work”. Your job could be your occupation! However, your work is purpose related. What you are actually wired by God to do in life.ChurchGist. I understood it wasn’t about money but fulfillment. I spent countless and fruitless hours on my job for three years – yet there still was this urge and “void” inside of me. I was earning some stipends but still frustrated.
I was effective in my job but still troubled from within. At this point, many felt I was successful.ChurchGist. However, true success is when you are in purpose; because it comes with peace and fulfillment in the package.
I struggled in life for a while because it took me time to align to His purpose for my life which is to preach the Gospel as a calling.
God finally had mercy on me. Mercy, because when you are out of purpose, your life is void of security. I served as a Programs Director in a faith based movement in my home town called “The Believers Place” (TBP) for twelve years.ChurchGist. We usually have our yearly program every December; and this particular year 2012, we invited a Father in the Gospel Milieu by name Bishop Chris Raymond NGWU, who now serves as my Spiritual father in the faith. Indeed, when it is your time; God will send and speak to someone.
Getting this father to come was a challenge especially with the logistics involved for a young movement like ours, coupled with the counter calls and petitions from some senior ministers to his office in an attempt to prevent him from coming. However, God specifically asked him to come. ChurchGist.When he was preparing to come, the Lord told him about me; though he didn’t know or ever seen me. ‘Prepare to release a Son into the assignment I have for him’ … was the Word that came forth. I had no idea about all this. He also kept it to himself and was watching in the spirit to understand who that Son was.
As we got ready to pick him from the airport, I was in the company of an envoy (representative), sent by the President of the Gospel Ministers Association – a body that helped us with the liaison to bring this Father. As we headed towards the tarmac, this representative, a Father figure and now an ArchBishop, in the person of His Eminence Anyere Tarh Godfred said to me … C.k, I sense in my Spirit that you should be ordained and set apart. I didn’t know what that was. Ordained how I asked? He said, we have watched you grow and impact our homeland and your dispensation for a decade plus. God wants you separated as a full time Preacher of the Gospel. ChurchGist.The very things I resisted in my life. I said I will pray about it – He said there is no time. I didn’t know the Guest Speaker we were about to receive at the airport was coming with the same instructions.
We received our guest, drove back and lodged him. I went out to get busy with the event preparations, and both of them began to talk about me in my absence. The guest spoke of an urge to release someone into ministry as he planned on coming, and this representative confirmed it was me. Behind me, many other members of the Presbytery were consulted.ChurchGist. Few hours later, I was called into the Hotel, and the news broke out to me by the guest; God said we should Ordain and set you apart. This time my desires were subdued and I said “yes lord… With a heavy heart!
On the 27th of December 2012, in the presence of the leadership of the episcopal body, my family, the esteemed congregation of the saints, those who fought against it and a legal representative; I was ordained into the ministry by this distinguished Father Bishop Chris Raymond who stood as the Chief officiating Minister. Also, On December 31st 2015, three years later, I was elected into the Apostolic Office by the same person. My life took a dramatic turn around after this Oil of ordination came on me.
The very things I used to struggle with have begun following me effortlessly. All the wasted years of late decisions, alternatives and Procrastinations were compensation for. Destiny helpers came into my life! All those accessories I needed to sail through in life were unlocked. The right company of people began to identify with me. ChurchGist.The platforms I needed to excel in my calling came to be! I got married to the daughter of this Father of faith that ordained me, Children came, family showed up! Some lost relationships were restored. I tell you, without identifying with God’s assignment for my life; I guess frustration would’ve package suicide for me.
Today I preach across the national territory and abroad with unprecedented acceptance and approval.ChurchGist. God has been faithful in unveiling the different phases of my assignment as a Kingdom activist, Nation builder, Conference speaker, Crusader, Author of books and actor, Teacher, A Media voice, A Christian leader in my country etc. I am just many things and still exploring many avenues of my strength and gifting for two decades plus now.
Let this testimony be an encouragement to someone’s obedience to the calling and purpose of God for their lives. ChurchGist.Let it help a struggling minister identify with the right apparatus of his assignment, dissolve doubts and establish someone in the right paths in life in Jesus’ precious name.
Some other thing God helped me receive was ordination. No matter how anointed you are – You need the endorsement of a man for that anointing to flourish. In the commissioning of Jesus; The spirit was present as a dove, God thundered from heaven – However, there was a human personnel called John the Baptist. It wasn’t enough for God, Jesus and the Spirit.ChurchGist. If your assignment must take roots on earth and bear fruits for the Kingdom – You need to be ordained and commissioned by an authority in that field. Even Satan understands and respects this Principle. Jesus set the stage for us, we are compelled to follow and emulate.
