Word Alive Centre International is a church with God-given special unction to transform and rebuild lives. The Church has a unique anointing and grace to save lives and make people bigger than what they were before they encountered God through the Ministry.
The Church was founded by Reverend Godwin Abba whom through prophecies got the mandate to leave his hometown, Benue State. He proceeded to Jos to live with his uncle who was a Pastor. This Uncle advised him to go to a Bible School in Lagos. In Lagos, he got the confirmations from several students of the school and even lecturers that he was called to be a Pastor. After praying and fasting for long, God told him to move to Gwarinpa, Abuja. With 20 naira in his pocket, the Ministry journey began in Gwarinpa. In February 2000, the Church Word Alive Center International commenced. The name of the Ministry was dropped in the heart of the Founder/Senior Pastor by God who also told him that the Ministry was going to be the Word based ministry. Reverend Abba is a man of great faith; “My life has been a life of faith. Everything that I have achieved has been by faith. The Bible says in Habakkuk 2:4b that ‘the just shall live by faith.’ So, you see, God can’t do much in you or through you unless there is much faith in you”.
The Vision of the Ministry is ‘to cause the total transformation and Restoration of lives, families and destinies, creating a path to honor glory and dignity through the teaching and preaching of God’s Words in the demonstration of the Power of the Holy Spirit. The Mission is ‘to reach out to the spirit man/mankind unto the transformation of his soul while building him for his divinely assigned destiny’.
The Church is located in 1st Avenue Gwarinpa, Abuja, Nigeria. They hold three services every Sunday and weekly activities every Wednesday evening. The Church is changing lives, building leaders, entrepreneurs and ministers for Christ.
