Despite the devil’s failed attempt to take her life at a very young age, the last child and second daughter of Bishop David Oyedepo and Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo, has continued to wax stronger in her pursuit of God and in her mission to depopulate the kingdom of darkness.
After successfully pioneering a Gospel music group with few of her friends in secondary school, Joys was a member of the Church’s Choir for a while before she proceeded for her tertiary education.
By the leading of the Holy Spirit, she founded the Women Of The God Kind Ministry on the 18th of October, 2015. The ministry is not in any way connected to the Living Faith Church, neither is it run like a church. ChurchGist. According to Joys, the ministry is a platform that has been mandated by God to raise women to operate on God’s frequency, develop deeper intimacy with Jesus and become the women that God wants them to be. Asides its online resources, monthly Bible studies and regular workshops, WOTGKM organizes an annual women-only convention which has been instrumental in leading thousands of women closer to the heart of Jesus. ChurchGist. With biological parents who also are her spiritual leaders, teachers and spiritual guides, Joys lives, loves and as her name suggests, spreads joy to all she meets.
Joys is passionate about learning and just like her father, she believes that if you can find time to eat, then you can find time to read. ChurchGist. She has authored several Christian books which are well received by believers of different backgrounds all over the world.
Asides sharing her birthday (27th of September) with her father, Joys also had her traditional wedding ceremony on her parents’ 38th wedding anniversary (21st of August), while the Church Marriage Service took place the next day, 22nd of August, 2020. She is gloriously married to Abimbola Abodunrin.
