Located in Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria, the LifePointe Church is a community of young people who worship God uniquely and fellowship with one another in an undeniable atmosphere of love.
The LifePointe Church is the Young Adult Expression of The Elevation Church, Nigeria. Although The Elevation Church, Nigeria has Pastor Godman Akinlabi as the Lead Pastor, Pastor Idris Belo-Osagie (popularly referred to as P.I) leads the LifePointe Church. ChurchGist. The Church has a mission to serve as a resting place for the weary and a signpost for the lost. Despite being in an environment known for its elitism and class, the Church has maintained a culture that welcomes all and fellowships with all. It is never bereft of the warmness, freedom, joy and love that symbolizes a Spirit-filled environment.
With the belief that Christ-like love is beyond mere words, the Church keeps standing tall in the Lekki community as an everflowing river of blessings and a beacon of hope to its neighbours. Among the acts of love shown by the Church, the #LoveTheForce campaign remains a very memorable one. The families of three law enforcement officers were awarded scholarships and a year’s family health insurance while other officers received various gift items.
The Church’s acts of love towards its neighbours have been sustained over the years. On the night of the 20th of October 2020, after the unfortunate event that halted the #EndSars protests (popularly referred to as the ‘Lekki Massacre’), the LifePointe Church opened up their facility to everyone stranded in that vicinity; thus proving to be a resting place for the weary indeed.
A major part of the Sunday Worship Service is the ‘God Experience’. It is a session for sharing one’s spiritual walk with God from as far back as one can remember. It differs slightly from the usual ‘Testimony Time’ as it is not just testifying about a particular act of God but about His interference at crucial points in a person’s life.
We pray that God continues to uphold the leadership and keep the fire of love burning in their hearts, in Jesus name.
