Lift your hands and lift your voice this morning and let’s one more time give glory unto God. Do it from the depth of your heart. Give Him the glory that is due unto His name. Celebrate God.

Give Him the glory, give Him the honour and give Him the adoration. Thank Him for the testimonies, of His mighty hand over this Commission over the last 40 years. He has been faithful, never denying Himself. Would you give quality thanks unto God.

Now thank Him for answers to your prayers, thank Him because He has heard you. Lord we say thank You.
Now begin to ask Him to speak to you this morning. Lord I’ve come before You today to hear your voice.
Luke 21:38
I’ve come to hear from You again. Speak to me again by Your Word. Thank You mighty God in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Our Father this morning we have come with gratitude in our hearts for all that You have done. Thank You Lord for the mighty acts of Your hand at work in our midst evidenced by the testimonies that we have heard. For it we give You all of the praise and all of the glory. Lord we thank You for answers to our prayers. Now Lord our eyes are upon You. Speak to us again. Let Your Word transform our lives in Jesus precious name we have prayed.

Now according to Scriptures faith is described as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
The word hope refers to expectation. Simply put we can see that faith is Word based expectation.

Romans 4:17-21
So the hope was according to the Word. It was based on the Word.
So hope is not just anticipation, hope is not just a wish. Hope is a Word based expectation. Expectation that draws strength from the Word of God.
Proverbs 23:18
In other words whenever your expectation is set your experience is sure.

Therefore all through this week in the Covenant Hour of Prayer we shall be looking at this line of exhortation captioned

ENGAGING THE POWER OF EXPECTATION FOR ENTRY INTO OUR PROMISED LAND

We have been meant to understand clearly from God’s Word that there is a Promised Land allocated for us and in this season God is bringing us into the Promised Land.

Our expectation is a vital requirement and we’re going to explore the power of expectation in positioning you and I to enter into the Promised Land that God has in store for us.

Let’s begin by understanding this morning that expectation is what gives value to our intercessions and supplications to see our desires come to pass. In other words if there is no expectation then your intercession is of no value. It is expectation that gives value to our intercession.
Proverbs 23:18
So what determines the conclusion of your intercession is your expectation. The moment there is no expectation your intercession is bound to end in frustration. It is expectation that gives value to intercession. It is expectation that gives weight to intercession.

Hebrews 11:6
Now when we talk about faith, remember faith is the substance of things expected. In other words without expectation it is impossible to please God because he that comes to God must first believe that He is and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. In other words I must come to God expecting for Him to respond. If I don’t come with the expectation of a response then I signed up for frustration. The value of your intercession is in your expectation.

This is so important. There are many today who engage in intercession, engage in supplication but they do that without expectation. They are praying and praying but they are not expecting to receive anything. That’s why you find many people today are satisfied with unanswered prayers because they do not have expectations on their heart. When you pray you must expect that there is a response from God. He that comes to God must first believe that He is and that He is a rewarder, a responder to those that diligently seek Him.

So expectation is a vital requirement. Jesus said, according to your faith, that is according to your expectation be it done unto you. So what becomes of you is expectation determined. What occurs to you is expectation determined. What manifest for you is expectation determined. You and I must therefore understand the necessity of positioning ourselves with expectation. We see that in the Book of
Matthew 9:27-29
What will be done to you is determined by Your faith.

We have heard the story of a man that went to Oral Roberts crusade and he got there, the crusade was ongoing. The man of God had laid hands on the sick, he was not healed. He went into the healing room, laid hands on him again and he was not healed. The service had concluded then the man of God was about to go home and here comes this man in his condition. He said “Excuse me sir, I’m supposed to be healed today. You can’t go anywhere. I’m supposed to be healed today. I didn’t come here to try. I came here to take it”. It was that expectation that drew the manifestation of God. Please hear this and hear very well, it is not enough for you to engage in intercessions, in supplications, it is not enough for you to be satisfied with participation, it is vital for you to position yourself for the expectation. This is so important. The season of God’s manifestation can come and go with nothing to show if you’re not expectant.

My prayer for each one of us is to from this day onward your expectation will come alive in your heart.

What this means therefore is that whatsoever thing you desire when you pray, you must believe and you will have them.
Mark 11:24
It is in expectation that our prayers are validated. So you and I must ensure that when we pray, don’t pray without expectation, it is a waste of time.
1st Kings 18:41-46
As soon as Elijah saw the small hand he knew that was what he was expecting. Expectation began to show as manifestation.

Please hear this and hear it very well you must never be satisfied with an unanswered prayer. Be committed to stand before God with expectation, expecting to receive something. There is no man that comes with expectation that departs with disappointment. Come with expectation before God and you will see the prayers that you offer to Him answer with speedy manifestation.

That shall become somebody’s experience here.
Lift your voice to God and receive grace for expectation based prayers, expectation fired prayers, expectation loaded prayers. No more empty hearted prayers, no more unanswered prayers. Lift your voice and pray that prayer from the depth of your heart.

Receive grace right now in the name of Jesus Christ. I take grace from You Lord in Jesus precious name we have prayed.

Well what a joy as we begin to prepare ourselves for the 40th anniversary. As we begin to excercise our expectation on the altar of prayer. Something is happening in that week. God’s servant said the Lord told him that it is going to be worth more than 40 Shiloh’s in one. What are you expecting?

I want you to just excercise your expectation for one to two minutes right now. Lord this is my expectation. Concerning this upcoming 40th anniversary prophetic phase. Excercise your expectation before God. What is it that must happen? There is a Heavenly visitation packaged for this coming week. Lord I’m expecting to be visited, I’m expecting to be transformed, I’m expecting to be elevated, I’m expecting to be imparted with grace, I’m expecting to be fired up to my next level in the name of Jesus Christ. I’m expecting to experience the manifestation of my Promised Land, I’m expecting a termination of every wilderness experience in the name of Jesus Christ. Excercise your expectation for you, for your family, for this Commission. This is taking us into a new chapter, entering into the land flowing with milk and honey in the name of Jesus Christ. A season oh Lord of unusual occurrences in the name of Jesus.

Now lift your hand and lift your voice and glorify God this morning. Father thank You, blessed be Your name in Jesus precious name we have prayed.

Therefore continue to excercise your expectation personally for you, for us as a commission as you stand on the altar of prayer and we shall see what we have never seen before in the name of Jesus Christ.

SPEAK TO THE DAY

Make your declaration concerning the day. Whatever you decree God is sure to deliver. Speak to the day right now and do it in faith.

  • This day is declared blessed.
  • A day of encounter, visitation.
  • A day of open Heaven encounter in the name of Jesus.

Thank You mighty God in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
As you have declared so shall it be unto you in Jesus precious name.
