Paul Adefarasin is an Author, Mentor, Reformer, Life Coach, Conference Speaker and Social Transformer and also the Founder and Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, a multi-racial and multi-tribal church which has branches and ministries in Nigeria, Africa and Europe; and Rock Foundation, a faith-based charity organization committed to serving individuals in the following areas; social reformation, education, provision of healthcare and relief work among the underprivileged in Nigeria and West Africa.
He was born on the 25th of January, 1963 to a Nigerian father, Joseph Adefarasin and a Jamaican mother, Hilda Adefarasin. He attended St. Saviour’s School Ikoyi, Igbobi College, Yaba and later Haleybury College, Hertsfordshire, England for his primary and secondary education respectively. He graduated from the University of Miami, Florida with a professional Bachelors Degree in Architecture and worked with Baldwin, Sackman & Carrington Architects, also in Florida.
Paul Adefarasin graduated from the International Bible Institute of London. He served as a Youth Pastor in the United States before he received his first pastorate at the Action Chapel, London.
In 1994, he returned to Lagos and founded “House on the Rock Church” and the “Rock Foundation”. The Church started in a living room and has grown into a reputable Ministry with over 50 churches in Africa and Europe. Asides education, provision of healthcare and relief work for the underprivileged, the Rock Foundation also provide rehabilitation and empowerment of ex-convicts, drug addicts, prostitutes and miscreants in Nigeria and West Africa.
His weekly television broadcast “Something is about to happen” is broadcast into many homes nationally and internationally. A mentee of Bishop T.D Jakes and a visionary and bridge builder, Paul Adefarasin is one of the most respected ministers in Nigeria. He is known for his message on hope, reconciliation, reformation, healing, empowerment and redemption. His unique approach to ministry is exemplary and transcends tribe and race. He collaborated with Bishop T.D Jakes and many artists to produce the best selling audio book in world history, the Hollywood Bible Experience where he played the lead role as the Voice of God. He also produced musical albums in 2011 in collaboration with some Nigerian gospel artists such as Nikki Laoye, Segun Obe, Sammie Okposo, etc.
He is the host of “The Experience Gospel Musical Concert”, one of the biggest gospel musical events in Africa held annually, which brings in gospel musicians from all over the world with over 600,000 attendees in one night.
He is presently the Deputy President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN). He also founded the PETRA coalition which is focused on mentoring pastors and their churches.
He is the author of over 20 motivational Christian mini-books which includes “Call for performing Generation”, “Something is about to Happen” and other multimedia resources.
For a ministry that started in a living room, House of the Rock has grown to become a vibrant ministry with over 40,000 worshippers.
Paul Adefarasin is happily married to Ifeanyi and they have three children.
