The Value of the House of the Lord
Psalm 122:1
Why do we have to leave everywhere to come to a physical gathering like this. Pastors, Overseers of Ministries, Church Members, especially in a generation where value is low.
Many lives and destinies are shifted in the presence of God.
Scriptural Examples of People Whose Destinies Shifted in the Presence of God.
1. Jacob experienced the power of His house. Genesis 28:12-17.
Anything that happened there for Jacob is the natural climate of the house.
2. Moses experienced his call in what may be looked at as the House of God as well.
Exodus 3:1. Isaiah 2:2.
The Lord’s House is the Mountain of the Lord. Moses received the call that changed his life. It was on the Mountain of the Lord which is equivalent to the House of the Lord.
3. Isaiah experienced a lift and a shift when he encountered the Temple of the Lord whether in a vision or physical. Isaiah 6:2.
4. The woman with the spirit of infirmity. Luke 13:12-14.
5. The House of the Lord changed the lives of the blind and the lame. Matthew 21:14
In these days of internet and days of television and internet evangelism and ministry, most people’s spiritual lives have been practically destroyed. There is nothing that takes the place of the physical meeting of the people of God in church. Not television, not internet, not DVD, not CD, nothing. There is no substitute for the House of God.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF THE HOUSE OF GOD?
1. Spiritual and Supernatural Strength: Psalm 84:7. I have been going to sit under my father in the Lord for so many years all the way from 1998. From Shiloh, in 1999, we never shift and miss one. There were people that were with us at the same time who were also hanging around. They will come and sit and minister and so on, suddenly maybe they became too big or the discipline became too rigorous, and they just disappear. Some of those people, I’m not sure whether they attend any form of minister’s conference or meeting where any other person talks to them. And for 99.99% of them, ministry is almost zero.
There is a level of strength you pass into by coming physically into Zion.
2. Divine Encounters and Visitation: God can visit you at home even in the toilet, but the house of the Lord is where visitation and encounters are natural. The encounter that happened to God’s servant Bishop Oyedepo that shifted him and said the baton is passed over to you, that encounter happened while he was sitting inside the service and Kenneth Hagin was teaching. Divine encounters and visitations may happen to people in the presence of the Lord. This church today, I’m not sure there is a service where somebody does not encounter something.
3. It is a place of Angelic and Celestial traffic/activity: They ascend with your requests and descend with your results.
4. Access to the Ways of God: I see a lot of revelations on my own but my revelations explode in the Church. Psalm 77:13. Psalm 73:17.
5. The Place of Deliverance and Breakthrough: Obadiah 1:17.
There is something in the house, an unction in the house that breaks the yoke. Sometimes people or somebody on wheelchair meet me on the road and say lay hands on me, I say please help me, 99.99% of the miracle, signs and wonders I have seen, happen in the church, in the service or on a crusade ground. Don’t look for me myself, just enter into the service. Enter the atmosphere. It is natural there. There are many people in our church that have been healed and delivered without anybody praying for them, all they did is stepped into the atmosphere and the devil stepped out.
The cases that we dance on top of in crusade ground, if I see them by myself, I’m just helpless. Inside his presence, I believe for everything. I am not surprised if anything happens because I know that is the accredited venue. Accredited location for healing, deliverance and breakthrough.
6. The House of the Lord is the place of answered prayer:
Daniel 6:10. Matthew 21:14. Psalm 65:2. Zechariah and his wife was barren, as a priest he has prayed and prayed, prayer wasn’t answered, the answer came to him in the temple, while he was officiating in the temple. Luke 1:5-12.
7. It is the place of spiritual realignment. You are pulled back to track in the house. Hebrews 10:25-28.
