*God does not bring glory until He has given you grace to handle the glory.
*Who can bear the glory and not touch it? That is the man that will go far.

Deuteronomy 28: 13
The Bible says “The Lord shall make you the head and not the tail, and you shall be above only and not beneath”. Now, this catches my attention, that it is the Lord that makes me. Although I know that I have a covenant relationship with God, that I have a portion and a part to play but when I play my part, my part is not enough to make me.
One time like that my kids were in school, I just missed them and I told my wife, I said ‘I need to go see them’, so we agreed. In those days, President Jonathan’s period, the M.D of British Airways was like another minister, because he could decide that you are not travelling. ChurchGist. We tried to get a seat but we couldn’t get a seat, so there’s this guy that attended this church, he was a British Airway guy, he said ‘Pastor, we have a seat near the toilet at the back, I wouldn’t put you there’. I said ‘Put me there’. You know I’ve told this story of how I sat at the back there, I was squashed at the back and someone looked and said, ‘Pastor Biodun, that’s why I love you, that’s why I appreciate you. Look at the pastor of a big church at this place, on this seat’.
I grew up in a city where they celebrated mediocrity. Apologies to Ilorin church people, Ilorin church people are not like that, I tell you the truth, I have been in ministerial meetings where they celebrated the convener of the convention by saying ‘We just love you, you are not thinking big, you are just here with us’. I didn’t know much but, in my mind, I was like ‘This is not right, this is not God’. And if you ever find yourself in such caucuses, and you allow them to box your life, you can’t blame God, because where you stop is where God stops.
I need you to meditate on that phrase ‘Above Only’ because that is God’s plan for you, that is what the spirit of God is saying to the church. In your career, above only, in your health, above only, in your businesses, above only. Someone came to me yesterday and showed me a contract paper, and he said to me ‘Pastor, I’ve been doing contracts but I’ve always done contract by proxy; ChurchGist. They give someone else, he sells it to me and cuts it down, cuts it down. So, this is the first time in my life, 600 million.
This is the season where your highest expectation must be fulfilled. I prophesy, this is the season that people will gather and rejoice with you, this is a season of congratulations for you, in the name of Jesus.
HOW DO WE STAY ABOVE ONLY?
2Corinthians 3: 16-18
There is a glory that keeps us above only and the glory in the New Testament is the glory that excels. The bible verses were talking about the glory in the Old Testament, it was covered with a veil, but it says nevertheless, when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken out. ChurchGist. There is a glory in the face of Jesus, that’s what the Bible tells us. The glory upon the face of Moses had to be veiled because they couldn’t look at it but now, we all with unveiled faces, behold the glory of the Lord and we are transformed from one level of glory, to another level of glory, to another level of glory.
There is a dimension that is beyond miracles. The word glory is ‘Doxa’. Doxa does not mean cloud, it means prosperity, open doors. What is it that makes God very careful of who He opens His glory to? The glory of God is a serious thing to desire. God does not bring glory until He has given you grace to handle the glory, because if you don’t have grace to handle the glory, that is what will destroy you.
If you want to move up, if you want to be above only, you must watch the heart. You must not touch the glory. Moses said “You, stiff-necked people, must we give you water out of this rock?”. And I asked myself “Moses, you and who are the ‘we’?” And that was the beginning of his problem. Do you know what God said? He said “Moses, you didn’t hallow me”. ChurchGist. Hallow means separate. God said ‘You didn’t separate me before the people’. Not even when you are alive should you touch the glory, not even in your death should you touch the glory. God said, ‘No Moses, you have to die’.
Who can bear the glory and not touch it? That is the man that will go far. You cannot tell what God can do, until you give Him glory. God does not have a problem with anybody honouring you, you must in turn return the glory to him. If you hold back what belongs to God, if you touch that dimension, then there would be a problem.
Psalm 84:11. No good thing will He hold back from you, if He is holding it back, it is not good for you. Sun melts, sun heats up, shield protects. God said, if I don’t teach you how to run to my shadow, if you don’t know how to be shielded, if I expose you to glory – the sun, that’s the very thing that will melt you. Psalm 84:10, this is how to hide. Prayer is the greatest display of your humility; ChurchGist. Prayer is the greatest display that it is in God you depend. God the sun, projects, the shield, protects. If you don’t learn the 2 dimensions, please don’t carry glory, because the very thing projecting you is what will melt you.
1Chronicles 29:11-14. This is not Bible wisdom, this is not Pastor Biodun’s wisdom, this is the wisdom of the universe you live in. You make yourself against it, you will receive a slap, you flow with it, you will begin to glide.
