Tonight we are still talking about Signs and Wonders ‘The Timeless Testimony of Signs and Wonders’
Daniel 4:1-3, 6:25-27
The people giving testimonies to us tonight are
- Nebuchadnezzar
- King Darius
- Daniel, Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego
The God of deliverance is coming to you today
Daniel 4:1-3
When the wicked king, a notorious king, an idolatrous king that was wicked beyond the definition of wickedness comes up to talk about Signs and Wonders, it is a Testimony that something had happened, just as you are tonight, something gracious will happen to you.
Verse 2, he said I thought it good to show the signs and wonders. He said I thought it will be good for me to give you a testimony, a timeless testimony that God has done towards me. The God that worked miracles in the life of signs and wonders will work in your life. If God can do signs and wonders in the life of such a sinful, notorious and worst of all people that ever lived on earth, if God can do miracles, bring healing, do signs and wonders in his Kingdom and then he can come out and say I thought it will be good for you to listen to my testimony, He did that for him, He will do it for you. I see miracles, salvation and signs and wonders coming your way tonight in Jesus name.
Verse 3, he said how mighty are His wonders, how great are His signs, see these two words coming from the mouth of Nebuchadnezzar, how great and might are His wonders, His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and His dominion is from generation to generation. The generation of Nebuchadnezzar is gone but he says His power, glory is from generation to generation and in this generation, a miracle will happen to you. Just like God gave mighty signs and wonders in the life of that man in that generation, it is your turn. Say, it is my turn!
Salvation and healing are free for you tonight. The power of the Lord is penetrating your life like an explosive and every work of the devil in your life is destroyed tonight, it is free in Jesus name.
Nebuchadnezzar gave us the testimony about the God of signs of wonders.
Daniel 6: 25, King Darius wrote to all languages that dwell on earth, he made his testimony global. He said I am sharing my Testimony in all the earth, peace be multiplied to you.
Verse 26, he said I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom, men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, that is my God. The God of Shedrach Meshack and Abednego, that is my God. The God of Abraham, Israel is my God. The God that opened the Red Sea is my God. The God who saves, heals, delivers, the God who can shut the mouth of a lion is my God. Who is your God? Let the God of heavens be your God tonight and wonders will happen in your life. He said He is the living God. Darius said He is the Living God and steadfast forever, His Kingdom shall not be destroyed and His dominion shall be even to the end.
Verse 27, says he delivers, He rescue and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and on earth who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. God will deliver you from the lion that wants to destroy your life today.
He came to destroy the works of the devil and every work of the devil in your life is destroyed tonight in Jesus name.
The timeless Testimony of signs and wonders from Nebuchadnezzar, from Darius, from Daniel, from Shedrach Meshack and Abednego and me and you are coming your way! Tonight you will be delivered, healed in Jesus name.
- Signs and Wonders for the worst of sinners:
- Slaves of wantonness found wanting and short-sighted
- Seekers of wonders with willingness to surrender.
As you come to the Lord tonight and say you are my Lord and Saviour, I surrender myself to you, miracles and the mercy of God will reach you there and everything that is a problem in your life, God will make everything vanish today in Jesus name.
- Signs and Wonders for the worst of sinners: Daniel 4:34, says that I for the rest of my days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes unto heaven and my understanding returned unto me and I bless the Most High and I prayed and honour Him that liveth forever whose dominion is an everlasting dominion and His Kingdom is from generation to generation. This is the man we refer to as the worst of sinners because he made an idol and said everybody on earth must worship the idol. He said if there is anyone anywhere that will not worship that idol, I will throw him into the fire, tell me which God will deliver that man out of my hand, that is the kind of man, sinner he was. He said when you hear the drum and the music I put up, fall down and worship, I do not recognize any other God anywhere anytime. He was wicked and whatever he said he will do. The worst of sinners and eventually God allowed Shedrach Meshack and Abednego and they said we will not bow to any idol like you are saying tonight, you will not bow to any idol. When salvation comes, the power to stand and the power to be different, the Lord will give you in Jesus name.
After you are saved, the Lord will give you the Spirit of Shedrach Meshack and Abednego, if they tell you to bow you will say no, I stand for Jesus. Shedrach Meshack and Abednego will not bow, Nebuchadnezzar said what, they will not stand? He said, call them for me, he said I will give you a second chance when you hear that music, bow down and I will release you if you don’t bow, who is that God that will deliver you out of my hand? That is how bad Nebuchadnezzar was and yet this sinner received a miracle! There is hope for you, whatever sin you have committed, if God forgave Nebuchadnezzar, a change is coming your way. He said who is that God that will deliver you out of my hand? Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego said we are not careful to answer you, o king, we are not going to bow down to your idol and our God is able.
Say my God is able. Our God is able to deliver us from your hand o king. The man was furious, he said they should take Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego and put them in the furnace, those people that took them, the fire was so hot and burnt them and then Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego got in and then all the cuffs that bound them was off. Every cuff of the devil that binds you today, everything will burn off. Every yoke will be destroyed in Jesus name.
Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego rose up and they were walking in the fire with Jesus in their midst. You will walk through the fire and the fire will not burn you. Nebuchadnezzar did not know what had happened he said let me peep in the fire and see what has happened to those foolish boys and as he looked in he saw four people. He turned to the people and said, did we not cast in three men? He said I can see four, they will see four! He said the Fourth one is like the appearance of the son of God. If they put you in the furnace, Jesus will meet you there.
Eventually, he brought them out, he wasn’t converted yet, in Chapter 4, he was walking around Babylon and he said this is Babylon that is built by the power of my might and then judgment came from heaven and then he was struck, he became like an animal and was living in the forest for seven seasons he was like that but then his mind said, I have been fighting against God and it has not favoured me. It doesn’t favour anyone to fight against God and then he returned unto the Lord and a change came, the mind of an animal was taken a way and his mind became like that of a man. He became king again, the Lord restored him into the position that he had lost. Tonight, God will forgive you, He forgave Nebuchadnezzar, He will forgive you. He changed the mind and the heart of Nebuchadnezzar as he turned to the Lord, as you turn to the Lord tonight, He will forgive you in Jesus name.
Then Nebuchadnezzar became an honorable person and he said, I want to tell you what the Lord has done. He received signs and wonders even the worst of sinners. That is why I bring the good news to you tonight, as the mention of the Name of Jesus your Saviour that died for you on the Cross of Calvary, all your sins will be forgiven. Salvation is free, He gave it to Nebuchadnezzar, He will give it to you and you will receive it in Jesus name.
Paul that became the greatest of the Apostles, he was a bad man too, he himself said I was a chief of sinners and God forgave him and set him free. Nebuchadnezzar in the Old Testament, Saul of Tarsus in the New Testament, the Lord turned them around and the Lord changed their lives, now it is your turn!
- Slaves of wantonness found wanting and short-sighted: this is the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar, he became the King, the grandchildren were referred to in the Old Testament as the son of the other person. Chapter 5 of Daniel refers to Belshazzar as the son of Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel 5:1, you can see the description of the man.
Verse 2, he was not satisfied with all the cups of gold and silver in his own empire, he said we conquered Israel, Judah, all their worshipping vessels, go and bring them. He wanted to drink wine out of them, he was proving that he was greater because his god is an idol and he has conquered Judah, he brought his wives, concubines, counselors and everybody, he said drink and be merry, there is no God anywhere.
Verse 5-6, the person who had been bragging, judgment day has come, the people who wait for the judgment, when the day comes, they will not be able to stand. Look at Belshazzar, you will not be like Belshazzar, he lived a worldly life, he had a crown but no character and what the Lord is looking at, at that last day is the character, not your crown, certificate, money but character. He wants people that will leave according to the Word of God. The Bible says all of sinned not just Belshazzar.
Verse 9, King Belshazzar was greatly troubled, his countenance was changed, there was no solution to the problem. There is no solution to the problem until the Word of the Lord comes to you plain and clear then you can have a proper understanding of that Word. Judgment is coming, if you will repent today, that judgment will not come upon you. The times of ignorance, Belshazzar was ignorant, he didn’t understand that all those sins will bring judgment. It was a time of ignorance, there are people like that, they drink, smoke, they blaspheme God, they do not know what it means but tonight they will say I was ignorant that is why I did all those things but this time ignorance God wipes out and He commands all men to repent, as you say I have heard the Word and I am not ignorant anymore, the mercy of God will come to you in Jesus name.
Salvation is what you are getting tonight full and free and then the guilt and yoke of sin will pass away from you when the mercy of God will set you free.
Evil will not come upon your life in Jesus name. Belshazzar didn’t understand all that, he need an interpreter.
Verse 18 – 22, are you a child of a pastor there and you know your father talks about salvation and yet you still continue in sin, judgment day is coming but if you will turn to the Lord today and say, Lord, I surrender, the mercy of God will come to you today in Jesus name. If you have read the life of Samuel, Joseph, Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego, Mary the virgin and the life of those other people that followed the Lord and yet even though you have a Bible in your hands, you go to church and yet you are not following what you have read, judgment day is coming but thank God today is your chance.
Verse 23, when you are drinking, you lift up yourself against the Lord of heaven and have brought the vessels of His house before thee, they wives and concubines are drunk before thee and thou has praised the gods of silver and golds. Thou has not glorified God. There is writing against every sinner, every sin you commit, small or great, today is your chance for free salvation, healing and deliverance. If you say today I come, salvation will come to you, deliverance will come to you and miracles will come to you in Jesus name.
Verse 25-26, says the interpretation of the writing, God has numbered thy kingdom and finished things. God knows what we do not know.
