*For it to be given to them, somebody must say, ‘Restore.’
*The Bible told us the thief came, He didn’t tell us the thief left.
*That means the thief is still working. He is still stealing.
*There is something you must receive if you will be restored of all you have lost.
*Fellowship is the place where the illumination of God’s Word gives us access to our possessions in Christ.
Our Father, this morning, we have come to give glory to You and to appreciate You for the privilege and the blessing of being in Your presence. We thank You Lord for the answers You have given to all of our prayers. Every time we call, you hear us and every time You hear us, You answer us. For it we give You all of the praise. Lord, we thank You for the testimonies we have heard, only You can do these things and for it we give You all the glory. Accept our thanksgiving. Now speak to us today. By Your Word, let everyone be transformed. We give You all the praise, in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
Our line of exhortation for this week has been:
UNDERSTANDING THE WONDERS OF BEING COMMITTED TO REGULAR FELLOWSHIP
Hebrews 10:25
God’s Word admonishes us that the place of fellowship is said to be central to anyone maximising their Christian experience. That as believers, we have a responsibility to ensure we are actively engaged in fellowship. We discover that fellowship right from the time of the early Church was based on 2 primary platforms:
- The first was The Temple fellowship.
- The second was the house fellowship.
Acts 2:46-47
That we meet both at the centre and also from house to house. If you hear the testimonies that we heard this morning particularly the second testimony, that individual said, “I went to a house fellowship around where I live for the first time and then I came to Church. When we were told to write down whatever we wanted God to do, I wrote it down and my child began to speak.”
That testimony suggests that individual was going to the Church before then but went to the fellowship for the first time. You see it is important for us to understand that the two of them are vital. It was after combining the 2 platforms that the Turnaround was delivered. Church Gist. It is important to understand that those 2 platforms are vital to maximising our experience in our walk with God; both house to house and in the Temple.
-May God grant each one of us grace to continue to maximise it in the name of Jesus Christ .
But we must begin to examine the vital deliverables that are available for us as we engage in fellowship and this morning, we are going to…
- We gain access to our possession in fellowship through the Word.
God’s Word made it clear that one of the deliverables of redemption is an inheritance with God.
Acts 26:18
One of the provision and the purposes for our redemption is for the delivery of our inheritance with God. And that inheritance is rich and so loaded that the Word of God declares in 2 Peter chapter 1 verse 3 – life and godliness with God.
Ephesians 1:3
He called it all, then it is All. Missing none, it includes everything… He uses all of these words that show us it is rich in and loaded.
That is the inheritance that God has for every child of God. But how can we gain access to that inheritance?
Obadiah 1:17
In other Words, it is in Zion that we are able to take delivery of our possession.
Why is that so? Because our inheritance in God is accessible by revelation. Until the light of God’s Word shines, you are not able to take delivery of that which belongs to you in God.
Acts 20:32
The purpose of our redemption is to give us an inheritance. But we see here in Acts chapter 20 verse 32, that the channel for the delivery of our inheritance is the Word of God. He has provided for you but the Word gives it to you. It is through the revelation of God’s Word that we are able to take delivery of the inheritance provided for us in Christ and the place upon which you and I possess our possession is Zion.
They will take delivery by the instrumentality of revelation that will come forth upon Mount Zion. That is why the Word of God declares to us in Isaiah chapter 42, verses 21 to 23.
Isaiah 42:21-23
In warfare, one of the things that take place is the plundering of the things that belong to the place that has been invaded. That plunder is what they call spoil.
John 10:10
The Bible told us the thief came, He didn’t tell us the thief left. That means that the thief is still working and if the thief is still working, what is he still doing? He is still stealing.
That is what happens to many of the inheritances of the saints. They are born again but what belongs to them has been taken from them by the thief. For it to be given to them, somebody must say, ‘Restore.’ So there is a Word that we must hear that gives us access to our inheritance in Christ.
Isaiah 42:23
There is something you must hear if you will not be robbed and spoiled. There is something you must receive if you will be restored of all you have lost. That is why you and I must not play with fellowship. Fellowship is the place where the illumination of God’s Word gives us access to our possessions in Christ. As we continue to hear what God is saying, what belongs to us is supernaturally delivered unto us.
Ephesians 1:17-18
There are inheritances that are packaged for us, but we need to be enlightened, by His Word and that is the purpose for which you and I are in fellowship.
You heard the first Testifier in the testimonies we heard this morning. Just battered and shattered but by the Word of God his inheritance was delivered.
It is possible to have an inheritance and still be deprived of it. You have it but you can’t access it. We are told the story of a woman who served a King for many years and after serving, by the time she was leaving, the King gave her a document and that document looked like a certificate. Just appreciated her for all the years of service and this woman went and departed. (She) put that document in a frameand put it on her wall. She was at a point when she became very sick.
