- Every power that wants to localize your destiny be shattered now. I command the globalization of your vision in the name of Jesus.
The teaching series has been: GATEWAYS TO EXCELLENCE. This morning I have the privilege of bringing to us a Word with the topic: ENGAGING THE WONDERS OF DEDICATION.
If excellence is your pursuit, dedication is critical. When grace brings you up, it is dedication that will keep you there. Church Gist. Excellence is not a state but a journey. Success yesterday, not dedicated to improve upon will soon be a failure.
Blackberry did not improve on the success of yesterday and today if you ask anyone “can I have your ping?” people will begin to wonder what are you saying. Dedication is key for us to remain relevant. Every child of God is a seed after the order of Christ.
John 12:24-26, Mark 4:32-33
You can never know the greatness of a seed, until it is planted. The greatness of a seed is when it is planted. No matter where you are or where you have come, no matter how tiny your family may look like, it is irrelevant to your greatness. Church Gist. What you become tomorrow is not a matter of the family you have come out from, it is how you have committed you are to be sown. No matter the greatness of the seed, if it refuse to be planted, the greatness will be wasted.
If your goal is excellence, dedication is inevitable. Dedication is fundamental to manifestation of excellence in life. Church Gist. There are enough room in space but the top is vacant because there are non- committers. The floor is always crowded.
God’s servant, our father told us, his grandmother told him “Olaniyi, the one that they want to look upon, does not look around. Be focused, if you want to be a spectacle be dedicated. Church Gist. Be committed to your assignment and that is why he has told us that ever since he came to Lagos, he does not know the way to the tollgate. That is not what he came for.
What is Dedication?
- Dedication is self denial in one’s quest to accomplish a given task or to deliver a given mandate.
Mark 8:34-35
Jesus advises us to lose our life to the kingdom but people will advise you take it easy. Anytime you are seeking rest instead of pursuing God’s assignment for your life, you will soon rust. Don’t take it easy, people now are looking for how to retire early at 32, How can I make a billion and retire at 35. A billion today will become 5 million in five years. Church Gist. Our father here is still chasing God and the interest of his kingdom at 66. He didn’t retire at 50.
Deny yourself of today, in order for you to gain tomorrow. You have heard that if you are a Playboy today, you will soon end up as a play man tomorrow with empty pockets.
Luke 9:23-24
When you come to Jesus and you deny yourself daily, carry your cross and you don’t need to pray for healing, it comes automatically. Church Gist. Why are you looking for miracle job, give yourself as a seed to the kingdom and miracle job will locate you. We heard the testimony of one of us, In a company where they posted an advert “NO VANCANCY – PLEASE DON’T APPLY THERE” on the newspaper. This dogged soul winner, kingdom advancement guru, the Holy Spirit said go and apply there. Church Gist. He applied and they gave him a job and an official car.
- Dedication means to be dead to self and alive unto God in the pursuit of any kingdom task.
Philippians 1:21
If you have not seen what to die for, you have not seen what to live for. Church Gist. if you have not seen what to die for, you are just living a wasted life.
1 Corinthians 9:16
It is men of necessity that matter in this kingdom.
- Dedication is about making one’s life a seed into God after the order of Christ.
John 12:24-26
I heard a statement from our father, he said “God cannot mismanage my life”. Church Gist. God is the best manager anyone can have, so investing your life into his kingdom can never go wrong. God’s Kingdom Advancement is the best investment package that I can invest my life into.
Until you are ready to stretch, you cannot spread. Dedication makes us elastic to accommodate God’s glory.
1 Corinthians 9:17
Sow your seed willing. Don’t murmur, murmuring will Rob you of the blessing that God has arranged for you.
In this Kingdom, Dedication to God and the interest of his kingdom is the mystery behind the rise of Giants. Church Gist. Look at Abraham and Isaac.
Isaiah 51:1-3
Every instruction from the Lord suited Abraham and God said look unto him. Church Gist. If you cannot take it hard, you can’t fly high. Check those pastors telling you to take it easy, check how big their ministry is. If you are not ready to be dedicated, success will be far from you.
If you love sleep too much, by 7:30pm your eyes are already blinking, why won’t monkey chase you in the dream? Church Gist. That is why people sweat in their sleep, the work you refused to do here, you are doing it in your dreams. Some people carry bags of cement in their dream.
Our God is looking for dedicated people, people who will stay awake serving him. Souls are perishing outside and you the evangelist is on the bed.
You don’t need to pray for the stardom in you to emerge, just be dedicated. It’s a process, excellence is a journey, not a state.
Key Areas of Dedication.
- Kingdom Advancement Prayer
Galatians 4:19, Job 42:10, Luke 1:14-15
Be committed to labouring on the altar of prayer. Church Gist. Zacharias was burning incense and praying for other people and the angel appeared to him and said “your prayers are answered”.
- Soul Winning
This is an area young people don’t like, you mean big girl like me should carry Bible and stand on the road and be telling people, God loves you. Church Gist. I don’t want people to see me, they will laugh at me.
When we go to win souls by the grace of God, we meet members of our church who even abuse you. I will tell them humorously every Winner win souls. Church Gist. You can never see me winning souls and frowning my face. I learnt from my father, he stumbled on Mathew 6:33 and have not stopped winning souls for 45 years. Soul winning is the commandment of Jesus.
John 15:16
Don’t say you are not a pastor, every believer has been ordained.
Every soul winner must be wise, he that winneth soul is wise. Don’t wear coat instead of suit and carry big concordance Bible that is bigger than you and people see you and run away. Church Gist. You don’t need to threaten people with the Apostles in the Bible, your testimony is enough. Don’t engage in altercation. Be wise to bring them in.
- Financial Stewardship
Some people don’t have a problem sweeping for one whole day but to drop five naira for God is a big problem. Church Gist. All these people and tithe, after paying my children’s school fees and giving my father and mother, if I pay my tithe what will remain? Our father says blessings. Blessings will remain, so don’t hold your hand tight.
Some people in church if they want to give offering when they put their hand in their pocket if one thousand surface, they say “No! What are you looking for outside“. Fifty or twenty naira is the one they are looking for.
Be dedicated with your finances. You don’t need to start giving big, start giving small. Church Gist. If you want to enjoy financial fortune, engage in financial stewardship.
In the days of pews in this place, God’s servant gave us the cost of the pews, what I could get was the tenth of one pew and I dropped it. Church Gist. That is not done often in this church. This church is one church that you can be sure they won’t drain you. Anytime you give under coercion you won’t attract any blessing.
There was a church I was attending and they will tell us to borrow to give to God, the pastor will say it is better to owe man than to owe God. Please don’t borrow to give God.
There are some apps flying about now that if you borrow from, they will have access to your contacts and will threaten your father, threaten your mother, threaten your pastor. Your life will never be the same again, be careful.

When you are on the go, the Lord God protects you.
Daniel 6:5-22, 3:16-27
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the fire and the one they stood for, came to stand as the fourth man in the fire. Church Gist. When you are on the go, the fire of life cannot burn you.
When we go out for soul winning, I used to tell the team that the reason why the dust settled on your shoe is so that the dust of life will not settle on your kingdom.
- Every lion of life that wants to swallow you because you are on the go for Jesus, their mouth is shut.
Gospel bearers are power carriers.
Stand up on your feet and ask God for grace to be a doer of what you have heard from this mountain.
