Apostle Joshua Akinyemiju, the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State, has described the death of Rev. Gomba Oyor, father of the Oyor twins as a great shock and a huge loss to the association.
Akinyemiju made this remark in an interview in Ibadan.
According to reports, Oyor, an Ibadan based deliverance minister and the General Overseer of the God-Will-Do It Ministries, Ibadan, passed on during the weekend.
Among other programmes, the man of God, who just celebrated his last birthday on July 18, is popular for his mentoring programme on facebook tagged, ’30 minutes with Dr GF. Oyor’.
Akinyemiju said his demise was sad because he had been a worthy resource person to CAN in the state.
“He was a man of God, who impacted on so many lives in and outside his ministry, we therefore, give glory to God for his life, a life of service to God and humanity.
“We pray that God grants all the mourners the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.
Also, the Oyo State former CAN chairman, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, described Oyor as a genuine man of God, who feared God and impacted on humanity.
“Death is inevitable, it’s something that everyone of us must bow to when the time comes, no one can die without God knowing.
“We must all die one day when we finish our assignment on earth, so Rev. Oyor has finished his own work and God has called him home,” he said.
