Halleluyah! Come on, let’s celebrate the King of kings.
2 Corinthians 4: 1-7. Allow me to start from verse 3, the Bible does not say, ‘If our gospel be silent’. If the Bible had said that, then it meant that the power of the gospel is a noise. God doesn’t want you to be deep, God wants you to be impactful. One day, I sat down and I thought about it; there at least four churches I know that are preaching and the churches are exploding. First, if you don’t know, Pastor Kumuyi very well, he is a very deep teacher. I think I have more tapes of Pastor Kumuyi than any other pastor. Particularly, his trainings are very deep but in communicating the truth, he is very simple. You can hear it and understand it, even a teenager can understand it.
Pastor Adeboye – I have been among ministers who are struggling and making fun saying, ‘What is he preaching?’, but he has the largest altar on earth. Let’s look at Jesus, he told stories. Do you know why the Pharisees and Sadducees hated him, ‘Which school did he go to?’ He wasn’t even deep. ChurchGist. Someone like me, pastors don’t like me. One pastor came, sat down and said, ‘Pastor Biodun! And people are trooping in. And your message is simple’. I was thinking, ‘Should my message be hard?’. People have bibles in their home, they read it and don’t understand. Now, they come to church, should I make the message hard for them again? Will God pay me? They do this to impress other pastors so that they can be invited to their churches.
Somebody walked up to me two weeks ago, a worker and gave me a seed. The guy handed something to me that looked like twelve million naira, I checked it and was like, ‘Wow!’. God said to my ears, ‘Where did you go?’ I said, “Workers’ meeting”. He said there are people that have left their church, abandoned the members for months and they don’t have what you have. The next day, somebody dealt with me again in the spirit, slapped me with money. God said, ‘Did you see this?’ I said, ‘Yes’. He said everything you need will come to you where you are because you listen to me. Why am I sharing this with you? Because how you see life is how you live it. You will never get to Winners Chapel on a Sunday and not meet Bishop Oyedepo, that is why the church is like that.
2 Corinthians 4: 2-3. The gospel that transforms peoples’ lives is not the one they heard but the one they saw. What will deliver those that are in darkness? The presence of light, not you telling them about the light. It is not in the talking; it is in the manifestation. I want to ask you a question as I proceed, ‘What does the devil fear? Does he fear the preaching? Cassette tapes? Tracts?’ What he fears is that he does not want your light to shine. He doesn’t mind if you have light, just keep it to yourself. In Ilorin, we got a list of fine boys on campus and I said, ‘Why is it only razz people that come to church. What nonsense is that? Get me the list’. We organized an all-night party. The invite was a wine. ChurchGist. So, for every guy that was not saved, there was a saved lady that was put under prayer and fasting for two weeks and for every lady that was not saved, there was a guy under prayer and fasting and we got a D.J who didn’t know what was going on. That was the kind of church COZA was; you must be born-again. While the party was going on, my wife and I came down from where we had lodged in the hotel and I preached. I had trained them, I had told them, ‘When I was done preaching, engage each person’ and then it turned to a worship, the keyboardist just came out from nowhere. The devil is not afraid that you can quote scriptures, he is not afraid that you can teach. How many people who go to the market place actually win souls? My great mentor, Bishop Abioye goes and he win souls. Everybody has their own strategy, but how many people do that?
Look at verse 5 and 6. This light is supposed to work in our hearts. It doesn’t matter the darkness that was your background. You may be the son of a herbalist, you may be the daughter of a soothsayer. Number one, you did not determine where you were born, God brought you out of that place for a reason. God put you there for a reason. The God who commanded light to shine in darkness wants light to start shining out of your heart.
John 1: 1-4. God designed that this life was what would bring men light. John 8: 12. God is looking for a life that in that life, He can bring light. A life that can shine. What is happening to Christians is that they are born-again, they come to church but their lights are not shining. God is looking for lives that can bring light out. ChurchGist. Moses was with God and he did not know anything was going on but was when he came back to the people that they said, ‘Please, cover your face’. John 5: 33-35.

I want to show you that John 8: 12 one more time. If our gospel be hidden, it is hidden from those whom the god of this world has blinded, lest they see. What have you been seeing? Are you seeing that if you don’t sleep with your fiancée, you can’t marry him? Are you bragging that the politician comes to your church or the politician comes to you for prayer but your light can’t shine to him?
We wanted to buy this land; I don’t want to tell you the amount. When they mentioned the price for this land – 1.1 hectare, I passed out, the HolyGhost woke me up. There is a member of this church who was on my neck every day, ‘Papa, let’s quickly by this thing’. I said, ‘Oga, we don’t have the money. Let’s face our dome and build up’. He said, ‘No’. I said, ‘Lord, what should we do? Should we borrow money?’ God said, ‘No. Have you forgotten how I raised you?’. ChurchGist. As I aligned and began to confess, the more the desire was coming and the money came. Our Lagos Church debt-free, Ilorin Church debt-free, Gwarimpa Church debt-free, Maraba Church debt-free, Lupe Church debt-free, Dubai Church debt-free. We were using a hall in Dubai, it’s eight thousand, five hundred dollars. One person walked up to me and paid for one year. I can tell you about this thing. Going to sit in a senator’s office is not the solution. As a Christian, you must do some things to show, in character.
Revelations 21: 23. When you have Jesus, you have light. You are not to hid it; you are to beam it out. Ephesians 5: 8, Isaiah 60: 1-11. No rising, no shining. When you arise, you will shine. You are not the light, but you will shine. Without this light coming upon you, you are just a religious Christian. God is looking for lives that He will shine through.
