HISTORY WILL ALWAYS HAVE A GOOD PLACE FOR THOSE WHO MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
HE IS THE ONLY PASTOR I EVER KNEW.
- Reverend Felix Omobude at the 1st Archbishop Benson Idahosa Memorial Lecture, Benson Idahosa University.
I stand on already established protocol, I was told that I would be the chairman of this occasion and I thought my duty was to maintain the chair. Church Gist. But you know, I delight very much to be part of this occasion. Our being here is a testament that history will always have a good place for those who made the world a better place. Church Gist. Late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, the only Pastor I ever knew. I mentioned at the site of the ground breaking ceremony that he was a man troubled by his dreams, he pursued it very relentlessly. He saw today yesterday. Shakespeare said that “the good is often interred with the bones”. May I change it a little bit, yes the evil that men do live after them but the good that men do also live much much after them.
I celebrate my father, many of us didn’t understand when he was talking about these things but I am glad that I am here today and I want to urge everybody, please do your part and help to promote the ideas of Archbishop Benson Idahosa. May God bless you, may God bless BIU in Jesus Name.
