Entrepreneurship has been so explained in multiple ways, but for me it is a dreamer and a doer, someone who sees something and has the courage to take it on and actually bring it to life.

There is an element of risk in the life of every entrepreneur because every business you have is subject to two possibilities:
* Either something comes of it, or
* You fail woefully at it.

If you are smart enough, you will know that even the ones that don’t work, you learn something from it and what you learn from there will be something major in the things you would do in future.

If you want to lead as an entrepreneur, it starts from your mindset, how you do things and your ability to test the waters. An entrepreneur is an adventurer.

What are some of the questions you need to ask yourself if you want to be an entrepreneur?
Some of the questions people ask me are?

* Can everybody be an entrepreneur? If everyone is an entrepreneur, we will have a major problem. People with talent and skills help to build an idea forward. You have to determine the kind of person you are. Do you have the natural dispensation to take on new challenges or challenge the status quo?

The people who have the mind to take on the world on their own terms are the people that have a good faith to be an entrepreneur.

But you have to ask yourself, for the idea you have, you need to check your due diligence.

Your friends might think your idea is good and encourage you, that doesn’t make it valuable as a business. What makes it valuable is that it must be sustainable beyond your friends.

Anything you do that is not making profit is a charity. Building an enterprise to do good is not necessarily an enterprise to do well. But you can have a business doing good and doing well.

* If you want to lead in business, it is important that from the onset, you ensure that you have a unique selling point to your idea.

* If you want to lead, you need to think about what you do and how you do it differently that will allow you to aggregate the opportunity that you are already sharing with your competitors.

* You need to think about how you deliver your service in a way that you are miles ahead of your competitors

* How you deliver your product to the customer in a way that the value you deliver makes you the obvious choice for your target audience.

* You need to know your target market, everybody can not be your target market.

* You must understand the economic power of your target audience demography so that you can identify within the pyramid of the society where your market is.
The pyramids are
– Top: the people can afford but very few.
– Middle: availability level reduces and the affordable level reduces
– Below: the buying power is low, but the numbers are huge. One doesn’t have advantage over the other, you need to just consider the market you want to sell too.

How do you take leadership?

What ever business you want to play in, you may be the first at the beginning, but other players will always come in.

Once you are in front, everyone can see your strength and your weaknesses and if you are not innovating and looking for new ways to improve your products, then somebody is going to come from behind to the front.

As a Christian, the Spirit of God within you is a creative Spirit. When God created the world, the Spirit of God was hovering over the earth and order came. It is that same Spirit of God that will enhance your ability to take control and dominate in that area. The Spirit of God is all knowing.
1 Peter 4:10

In trying to build a successful business, you are trying to use the Spirit of God and the gift of God within you to create a service to serve others, but you are doing it as unto the Lord.

You are going to work with the Holy Spirit to know the designing of the Holy Spirit. You ask the Lord for the way to God because in business, you are always faced with options.

If you want to lead, you can not drop your God factor, it is a nonnegotiable asset that you need as an advantage in the market place.

When you have done your best, when you have all your facts, you can still go to God despite all you have if you have a strong conviction that you need to go in a certain way.

If you want to lead, you cannot do it anyhow, you must become a master of your trade. You must learn everything you need concerning that industry.

You must be humble enough to know what you know and know what you do not know.

In the field of entrepreneurship, there are many skills that supersedes you academic qualifications.

You need to understand that the knowledge that is necessary for your enterprise to succeed is shared knowledge. You must learn to value human beings.

I have a simple principle
I consider myself to be equal to liability and asset. My liability is my weakness and asset is my strength.

It is important that you learn that to be a leading entrepreneur, you have to have great skills at managing people

No great entrepreneur can run the enterprise by himself.

While you think your customer is king, the people that work for you are very important.

People don’t really care about what you pay them, they are more concerned about how you treat them because if you pay a man and don’t treat him well enough, he will give you what you pay him for but not the best of what he has to offer.

There is nothing you can not do and there is no limit to the extent you can build your business. You have to build on the right value system. Doing the right thing is sustainable for all times.

The way you do your business will leave you in the place where you can preach the Gospel. It doesn’t matter how much money you make, but your goal is to live well and die to live in heaven.

The business area is a major test area for us Christians. We need to remember who we are in Christ in the business.

Challenges will come, our faith will be tested, but if we hold on to the Gospel, things will work out for us and at the end of the day we will be able to say Father l have done the best that l can.
