Holy Spirit of God we rely on you, by strength shall no man prevail, open our understanding, we will go home blessed today and we will put your word into practice in the name of Jesus Christ and I pray you touch as many that are here in the mighty name of Jesus. I thank the almighty God once again for this privilege given to me, it is not a right. Papa I thank you and I thank everyone of you, you will be blessed tonight and you will not go home the same. God will meet you at the point of your need and I want to remind you that today is the first mid week service after our 21 days of prayers and fasting. God will visit you at your point of need and grant you your heart desires, you will never be the same, all impossibilities become possible in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you.
TOPIC: RETAINING THE HARVEST
What is Retaining?
Retaining means to keep or continue to have something. It also means to secure or hold intact.
What is Harvest?
Harvest is the process or the period of gathering crops.
What is Retaining the Harvest?
Retaining the Harvest is simply the process or period to keep gathering or continue to have crops. It also means a period of securing or holding intact a harvest.
In this context, the Harvest here is referring to souls, we are not going to farm. The Harvest we are talking about is souls. John 15:16. You should bear fruits and your fruit should remain, that is the desire of God. ChurchGist. God gave us a great harvest during our just concluded Glory Reign 2022 and he wants all the souls to be established, you have seen it, he wants them to remain, he doesn’t want them to leave. Isaiah 27:6.
Jeremiah 30:19. God does not want a church where people are few, a scanty Church is not the will of God. God wants that the souls that we harvest will remain and that’s what we will do and put in practice in Jesus mighty name. Exodus 1:7. God does not want the souls that he has given to Salvation Ministries to be lost. ChurchGist. The souls you and I have won, God does not want them to be lost. John 18:9. Amos 9:15. So I stand under the grace that is answering to Salvation Ministries and David Ibiyeomie, I decree that no soul given to Salvation Ministries by God will be lost in the name of Jesus.
Everyone of them will take root globally in Salvation Ministries in the name of Jesus Christ. Where there are no Salvation Ministries they will worship online in the name of Jesus Christ and so shall it be in the name of Jesus Christ.
So, for the souls to be preserved we must do our part, we must not leave everything to God. ChurchGist. In as much as we have read so many scriptures that it’s the will of God, we are not going to leave it to God alone, we will do our part.
WHAT TO DO TO RETAIN THE HARVEST
Knowing what to do and doing it at the right time is wisdom. Not to just copy it, including me too. So, we have to put it into practice. Matthew 7:24. This is the right time to do what is right. So, everyone of us after this service we will start immediately, even as you’re going home you will call your converts.
1) Every soul should be encouraged to attend foundation class and be baptised. Every convert you know that came for the Glory Reign you must encourage them. ChurchGist. Every soul should be encouraged to attend foundation class and be baptised. 1st Peter 2:2. They need the Word of God for them to grow, they must know who they are now, they have to hear the Word of God, leaving them to go is leaving them to go back to the world. It’s not our portion in Jesus name.
Romans 6:4. Some people seated here do not know the importance of Foundation class, that is why I am explaining it, so that you see the reason why you must encourage them. Foundation class helps the new believers to understand their status in Christ. What they are teaching here is not enough, honestly, they will not understand. ChurchGist. But when they go to foundation class at their level as new born babies, they will start teaching them, the moment this foundation class is in place then their Christianity becomes solid.
If you have never attended foundation class then that is the reason you have been behaving the way you are right now. Go to foundation class and you’ll start a new beginning. They will begin to live their life inline with Christ’s life because of the knowledge they will acquire. If you allow them to go to foundation class they will start living like Christ. ChurchGist. You know when they call you a Christian that means you’re leaving a Christlike life, a Christian is not an emblem. Acts 12:26. In Antioch they saw the Christian and they referred to them as christian because of their lifestyle, they saw Christ character in them, so they cannot exhibit those characters until they are able to come to foundation class, they now know what to do and what not to do.
2) Encourage them to fellowship constantly. Hebrews 10:25. For the soul to be preserved and established we should constantly encourage them to be part of our services. Look around tonight, you will see that you and I are guilty in this aspect. ChurchGist. We didn’t invite them. Constant fellowship enhances our intimacy with God and transforms us to look more like him.
Types of Fellowship
A) Church Fellowship: This Thursday we have two services 4:30pm and 6:00pm. On Sunday we have 5 services, 6:00am, 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am and 12:00pm. Encourage them to participate in Church services.
B) Cell Fellowship. You must encourage them to participate, this holds on Sundays at 6pm, we have the Home cells, cooperate cells and unique cell fellowship. ChurchGist. Encourage them to attend so that they will be rooted and they will not go back to the world. Home cell fellowship is a small care group of every family represented in Salvation Ministries with a maximum of 5 to 10 adults that meets once in a week to fellowship and care for one another.
That is the place they will take care of them, encourage them to attend. I myself the soul God helped me to win, towards the end of last year out of about 15 of them, I made sure home cells were opened for 10 of them, some of them said they stay at the water side, I said it doesn’t matter, we have members around there. So encourage them, it is compulsory for all members. Colossians 4:15. Acts 2:46.
BENEFITS OF BELONGING TO HOME CELLS.
Psalm 133:1-3. So, God wants us to dwell together, you cannot make it alone, don’t think it is because you have money then you don’t need to attend. Don’t think that way, there is a saying that says you can’t feed a village but the village can feed you, no matter how much you have you can’t feed them from morning to night. When you change the money you have to dollars, you will discover you don’t have much. ChurchGist. So, attend home cells and allow people to come to your house, if your house is a comfortable house where people can stay and attend.
A) It offers the opportunity to relate to one another closely. Most of the time when Papa is talking about homecell, he will say turn to your left, right, front and back, you may find out that you don’t know them. So, when something happens you will say nobody has visited you, what kind of Church is this? You are not in any home cell, You are not even in any service group.
B) Your spiritual, emotional and other needs are met. You will be specially prayed for according to your request in the home cell.
C) You will be blessed beyond your expectations as you belong.
D) We care for one another as a family. Luke 10:33-37. When you belong to a home cell, they will take care of you, that does not mean when you go there, you start counting all your needs immediately. You know human beings can be funny. They can take that opportunity to exploit. You now bring your #1,000,000 house rent, claiming that is what we said.
E) It gives room for speedy spiritual growth. Psalm 84:7.
F) It gives you the opportunity to render both physical and spiritual services to God. When you go there, you will see yourself leading prayers and doing other things, you will be growing. Romans 12:1-2.
G) It caters for your material needs, in the areas of wedding, child naming, dedication, thanksgiving and other welfare matters. They will help you out in your wedding preparation and your naming, they will plan with you, cook with you, eat with you. ChurchGist. Do you know that you can cook and not see anybody to eat your food?
3) Introduce them to Kingdom service. Kingdom service is using your endowment such as your skill, talents and resources for the promotion and advancement of God’s Kingdom.
Types of Service
A) Spiritual service: This is about praying and soul winning.
B) Physical service: This is to belong to a service group, Choirs, ushers and others. When I start having this understanding I make sure my converts are in one service group, if they don’t fit in any, I will recommend sanctuary unit to them.
C) Financial Service.
4) Encourage them to attend Bible School.
The Bible School is the Spiritual training arm of the Church, where the nourishment of the attendees is taken care of. Attendees are trained for exploit in life, business, career and ministry. They are also equipped with relevant skills to attend life challenges Papa has said severally, two weeks in Bible School cannot be compared to 10 years in Church.
The Bible School has several courses that will aid you, aid your christian growth and exploit. It is open to all. It is not only for Pastors but for every child of God that desires knowledge. Daniel 11:32. So, I want to advise everyone and myself that every branch should host the Bible School this February which starts on the 7th and ends on the 11th of this month. There will be a 35 per cent discount for books and school fees if God has blessed you, I implore you to sponsor people to attend the Bible School. ChurchGist. As individuals and as branches, ensure all souls that are available are trained in this February special edition, you will not chew or eat money, use it for God.
We have given a 35 per cent discount to encourage people, if that soul finishes the Bible School, he will not go back into the world. Let your money be involved, even if your money is not enough to sponsor one person, package it and give it to your pastor, tell him it is the money for training people. Don’t always be at the receiving end, give something in return. Now, we have won souls, encourage them and make them attend Bible School. ChurchGist. It is starting on Monday and God bless you as you do so, because I know that a lot of you will train people because you have been training and you will keep training, God bless you as you do that in Jesus name.
5) PRAYERS
Isaiah 62:7. So, we will not give God rest, we will keep praying for them, take the names of those souls you brought and pray on them, these people have accepted Jesus Christ you will never go back to the world.
Whatever that wants to take you back into the world I refuse in the name of Jesus. You bleed the Blood of Jesus on them. 1st Thessalonians 3:10. Prayer is seeking divine intervention on the basis of God’s Word and our relationship with God. ChurchGist. We must pray fervently for all souls God has added to Salvation Ministries to be established, pray for them. I hope you’re not angry because of my teaching tonight.
Papa is still coming up to prophesy, but as a Church it is good that we know all these things. In case you don’t know, don’t say I thought retaining the Harvest is about prophesying, as you’re doing it you will see that your own result will be evident. So, if it’s not what you’re expecting please forgive me, because what we are saying is about retaining the Harvest. Papa will stop and prophesy and we will take the Communion and healing will take place. But please don’t be angry, write them so that you will do them.
THINGS TO PRAY FOR
A) Pray for Christ to be formed in them.
Galatians 4:19. I have a young man who is well educated, he has gone to Bible Study repeatedly. But I have cursed the spirit of drunkenness, once he comes you will see him staggering, you will know he is already high, but then I didn’t leave him, I kept praying for him. Because when you pray he will come out of it and he is a husband to someone. There is a saying that women have no man to marry them, that the men are few, the available men are armed robbers, evil ones and drunkards.
That is why but if we pray them out, they will become useful and to be marriageable, is that not so? Those bad boys don’t leave them, pray them out, that one that is keeping a hard face. ChurchGist. I had one that was very bad, I don’t know the kind of soul that God does give me? I had one like that and he got married here, before he got married he was a very bad boy and you won’t know. Papa helped me to start a business for him, I was helping him honestly, he married a graduate. Let us pray for them and not leave them alone. Galatians 4:19.
B) Pray that God should reveal Salvation Ministries to them as their place of encounter and nourishment. Exodus 3:1-5.
C) Pray for them to fall in love with Salvation Ministries and that the zeal for fellowship in Salvation Ministries should overwhelm them. John 2:17. Romans 5:5.
D) Pray that God will reveal his glory upon Salvation Ministries to them.
6) Call them to find out how they are doing. I call my souls. ChurchGist. Some souls are no longer coming to Church, when you call them tell them you would like to see them, if they tell you that they travelled, let them know that you would like to see them when they are back. Are you listening? Call them, some of them you think are still in the Lord, they are no longer there.
7) Visit them. If you can visit them, I have a team that visits my converts before you start asking do I visit them. Acts 15:36. It’s not a sin that you visit them, so visit them. God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ. I hope that you’re happy with me, don’t be angry. So, put these into practice. How do you know you’re putting it into practice? As you’re leaving today, take your phone and call one of your converts and ask after them, ask them why they were not in Church today, if they tell you they attended service in a branch, ask them what the sermon was about, that is how to catch some of them. Ask them who preached. They might say Papa, because they know he will always preach.God bless you as you do that in Jesus name.
