DON’T TAKE THE HOLY COMMUNION IF YOU ARE NOT YET 100 PER CENT COMMITTED TO GOD, DON’T KILL YOURSELF.

Ancient of Days, Thank you. King of glory, thank you. Unchangeable changer, thank you. Little by little Lord the first month of this year is gone. By your grace we are in the second month, accept our thanks in Jesus name. Lord tonight as we gather to dine with you, like never before in all our lives, do something miraculous in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
We will open our Bibles to 1 Corinthians Chapter 11, we will read verses 23 to 25. In the olden days before Christianity came to Africa, our forefathers had their own doctors. We call them herbalists, some people prefer to give them the name ‘witch doctors’ but they are doctors, traditional doctors. Some of them are very genuine and in those days long ago, if someone is desperately sick when he is at the very point of death and they go to one of these ‘learned’ traditional doctors, they would ask the relatives to go and bring an animal, some dresses belonging to the fellow and then an effigy of the man, usually they make it with banana tree. They do what they do, put the dress on the effigy and take it to the very center of the town, the crossroad where anybody walking at night will surely pass. Church Gist. Usually that fellow who didn’t stay at his house at night, walking about will pass by, see this effigy with the dress and everything at the center of the road and whether you believe it or not, that night crawler will die and the sick fellow will live. The elders will say, they have substituted the life of that fellow who came out at night to see what he shouldn’t see. For the life of the fellow who should have died. You will want to ask where they learnt this method? Believe it or not, one way or the other I think they learnt it from God.
Proverbs 11:8
It’s called the Law of Substitution. We could see very many instances in the Bible but a very good one will be Daniel 6, you know the story. They threw Daniel into the den of lions and the Almighty God told the lions “No! You can’t eat this one”. Why? Because he is a son of the Lion of Judah. Then He told the lions wait till tomorrow and you shall be fed. The following day Daniel was put out of the den alive and those who threw him in were thrown in as a substitute.
- Any force trying to destroy you shall be destroyed themselves.
Long ago, when the angel of death was passing through Egypt wherever he saw the blood of the lamb, he passed over. A lamb has been substituted for the first born in that house. Then 1 Peter 2:24 tells us that the Lord Jesus Christ carried our sins on the cross so that his stripes can produce healing for us. So when He took the bread, he said “take and eat, this is my body broken for you. I was beaten so that you can be healed”. Church Gist. Similarly when he said “take, drink. this is my blood shed for you”. By the time you drink that cup, as the wine which he says is his blood enters into you, his life enters into you. Leviticus 17:11 made it clear that the life of the animal is in the blood. Suddenly, according to 1 John 4:4 the greater one comes into you, the one who is greater than the one who is in the world. All of a sudden the ability to overcome the devil becomes available to you. Revelations 12:10.
The Holy Communion is a miracle meal, a meal of substitution. You take the bread which is symbolic of his body that was broken for you, your sickness is been substituted. You drink the wine, the blood comes into you and every demonic action that should be in your life is been substituted.
I will give you one example and we will pray. You have heard the testimony before, I had this daughter in the United States of America who had this demon in her. The demon talks with the voice of a man, always blaspheming God, saying horrible things about Jesus Christ. She didn’t know how it got there, she didn’t know how to get rid of it. She came to the Convention in America, praying hard. Anytime she is trying to pray, the demon will want to take over her voice to say horrible things about God. Then it was Holy Communion time and she heard me say when you eat the bread which is the body of Christ, you will be healed. When you drink the wine, you get victory over the devil. The demon in her screamed “don’t you dare, drink that wine”. She began to rejoice “Ah! Your secret is out”. Church Gist. She took the bread, the demon said “if you dare go forward for the wine, you will see what I will do to you”. She rejoiced because the devil is the father of lies. The moment she took the wine, the demon screamed and left and never came back. Tonight you are not coming for an ordinary meal, you are coming for a miracle meal. That is why the Bible warned “don’t take the meal unworthily”. Just like it can heal, if taken unworthily it can kill and bring destruction through the devil. If you don’t believe me ask Judas Iscariot, he was there at the Last Supper, he ate what he shouldn’t eat, drank what he shouldn’t drink because even as he was sitting there, he had concluded a plan to betray Jesus and it wasn’t long after that, he was hanging on a tree. He committed suicide. Don’t take the Holy Communion if you are not yet 100 per cent committed to God, don’t kill yourself.
When we drink the wine tonight we command everything that belongs to the devil to get out of our lives by the power of the blood shed by the Lord Jesus Christ.
- The One whose name is above every other name will grant your request.
Father, we thank you. Thank you for the honour of dining with you. Thank you for reminding us that you have already paid for our deliverance, you have paid for our healing, you have paid for our prosperity. Lord accept our worship in Jesus name. Lord God Almighty I pray that everyone of us even before the sun rises tomorrow we will have testimonies in Jesus name we have prayed.
