Let all the joyful souls at this service tonight shout Hallelujah. If you are sure to return with multiplied joy, shout Hallelujah. Shall we pray. Lord Jesus Thank you for this special Holy Ghost Service tonight, thank you for our Set man, our father in the Lord who just turned eighty. Thank you for your grace upon his life and thank you for making him a blessing to his generation. Thank you for the great things you are doing in this Church, thank you for expansion, thank you for growth, thank you for the impact of this ministry around the world. Receive our thanks. Speak to us in these few minutes and let your name be glorified.
By the grace of God, my wife and I have been part of this family for about 40 years now. It’s been our privilege and our benefit to have been directed this way by the Holy Ghost. Interestingly no one introduced me to Daddy, I heard directly from God and it has been awesome these past years. Sir we honour you, we salute God’s grace upon your life and it shall only be on the increase and it will never go down. Church Gist. Moses took on a new assignment at 80, God hasn’t changed. Every new thing God is showing you, He will bring it to pass. What a large heart, what a humble spirit, what an ever joyful, anointed servant of God. We are blessed to have you in our own time and in our generation.
I will be speaking tonight on REJOICING IN THE LORD.
Philippians 4:4, 1 Thessalonians 5:16, let there be no joyless moment in your life. It is important for us to know that God will never ask us to do what He has not enabled us, engraced us, equipped us to do. He does not tempt any man to evil. Our redemption is an embodiment of joy. Church Gist. We saw that validated by the fruits of the Spirit and one of them is joy. Galatians 5:22. Joy is part and parcel of our package in redemption. When we are baptized in the Holy Ghost we move from the realm of joy to intoxicating joy by the Holy Ghost.
Romans 14:17.
They thought they were drunk when the Holy Ghost came, Peter said no! This is just the third hour of the day. The bars are not open yet, this is the Holy Ghost manifesting with joy.
Jeremiah 15:16
Access to the word stirs joy on the inside. Men and women who move in revelation don’t run out of joy. Thank God for the joy of salvation, thank God for
the joy in the Holy Ghost, the two leads us into the word. Mark 4:11, John 14:26. We have joy in salvation, joy in the Holy Ghost and joy in Revelation. So we have no business being depressed. Redemption forbids depression, redemption is our escape from a world of depression. Church Gist. I therefore stand tonight to curse every bondage of depression tormenting anyone under the sound of my voice. Revelation stirs faith and faith stirs Joy unspeakable full of glory. 1 Peter 1:8. Everything around our salvation stimulates joy, stirs joy, arouses joy. Therefore from now, no one will ask you again in your life “what is wrong?”.
- Your outlook will no longer be wrong, your disposition will no longer be wrong.
- Your words will no longer be wrong.
- Everything shall keep on being right with you.
When we are saved, we are raised together with him and we are made to sit together with him in heavenly places, the headquarters of joy. Eruptive joy. He that sits in heaven shall laugh. All they do in heaven is laugh and laugh and laugh.
When we come into fellowship, we have come to the heavenly Jerusalem, we have come to Jesus. Hebrews 12:24. Being in fellowship sustains the joy of the Lord in our life. The farther away you are from fellowship, the farther away you are from joy. Settle down with Jesus, enjoy the fellowship of the saints, be in Church. Recharge the battery of your joy as you come into the midst of God’s people. Church Gist. We are in Zion and all we do there is laugh and laugh and laugh. Your laughter begins today. I have not seen one day in my life that I have the privilege of talking to Daddy that laughter does not erupt. It must come from either side and all of the time from both sides. Laughter and laughter and laughter, 10 years, 20 years, 30 years.
- That shall be your experience from now on.
Somebody once asked me brother David do you ever have problems? I said maybe it came and I didn’t know. You can introduce yourself to someone and you have no business with him, you can’t remember any more. From now you have no business fellowshipping with depression, with anger and hatred.
Why Must we rejoice?
Lack of joy carries tremendous cost and I will outline five of them.
- Lack of joy will lead to loss of access to His presence. Without His presence our life cannot make a difference. Loss of access to His presence is a costly thing. James 5:13. God inhabits the praises of His people. You are merry hearted, it erupts into praise and He inhabits that praise. Church Gist. That equals the supernatural order of breakthroughs. Everything that troubles others, tremble at your presence when you carry God’s presence.
- From today, no door shall be shut against you anymore.
Psalm 24:7-10
Every everlasting door lifts up their head in His presence. So when you carry His presence you become a breakthrough entity in the race of life. What you see here today and all across the nations of the world, nothing can define breakthroughs beyond what you see. Church Gist. So touchable, so physical that even the blind can see that this is God at work. Why? Joy paved a way for His presence which has come to make a difference.
- Lack of joy will lead to loss of access to revelation.
Revelation is the trigger of supernatural breakthroughs in life. Isaiah 12:3. Paul, a man of unusual revelation said “rejoice in the Lord, again I say rejoice”. The secret of men is in their stories, the more joyful we are, the greater our access to revelation. The greater our supernatural breakthrough. Joy in season, joy out of season, is what we call joy in the Lord. He was under severe attack yet He said “ye! I will rejoice”. Church Gist. Joy is a covenant gateway to realms of usual revelation. The more revelation we catch, the more change of story from one level of glory to another we experience. 2 Corinthians 3:18. So we have not seen anything yet in this Church.
- No life here will know a downward trend anymore. It shall be from glory to glory until Jesus comes. That shall be your testimony
- Joy is a covenant facilitator of health and wholeness
Proverbs 17:22
The more joyful we are, the healthier we live. Proverbs 17:22. If joy grants us access to his presence. They grow from strength to strength, everyone that appears in Zion.
- The last breakdown anyone here suffered is the last you will ever know.
Until our spirit is broken, our bodies cannot be broken. So rejoice in season and out of season. I was trying to pen down a few things in my autobiography and in the last run, I looked at it and I discovered that challenges were not there. So I put a whole chapter on my share of challenges. That you are rejoicing does not mean you don’t have challenges, it just means you are smarter than your challenges. I need God and I can’t find God without joy so I rejoice in spite of what is happening. Church Gist. That is the best chapter of that book, I think I have written. I wrote year in year out, my share of challenges. There has never been a year without challenges, thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ.
- From tonight, in the name of Jesus no one shall be crushed under challenges.
It is challenges that make champions, you can’t become a heavyweight champion without receiving punches but as long as you don’t give up, you must carry the belt at last. In the name of Jesus every challenge facing you today shall be turned into a testimony.
- Without joy we lose our access to divine intervention.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
You can’t access divine intervention without genuine joy and rejoicing. Please come awake. We must get smarter than the devil this time. Church Gist. You don’t get anywhere casting down your head, you get through all challenges rejoicing at all times.
- God will make you laugh, all that hear will laugh with you and your laughter will be all through your life.
- Lack of joy will rob us of our rewards of stewardship.
Rewards for serving God is only guaranteed by joy and rejoicing
Deuteronomy 28:47-48
I heard that word from the Lord in 1977. Serving God does not guarantee reward but serving God with joyfulness and gladness of heart. When joy withers, harvest perishes. When joy withers, returns from our labour perishes.
- You shall not labour in vain.
Please don’t destroy your labour by giving room to satanic traps of depression.
Please stand to your feet and give the Lord Jesus a big clap offering.
Why must I rejoice? We slept and woke up. He saved our souls that money cannot buy. We are sure of heaven at the end of our journey on earth. We went through fire and were not consumed because He was awake watching over us.
Lift your hands and receive a new baptism of joy.
