Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide together with wife, Pastor Faith Oyedepo visited the family of Bishop Godwin Imuetinyan Elomobor of blessed memory, former Bishop of New Generation Bible Church (The Winners’ Church) who recently went to be with the Lord yesterday, 8th March 2022.

Bishop Elomobor used to visit Faith Tabernacle while alive apart from the fact that his daughter, Deborah is an Alumni of Covenant University.

According to Deborah Elomobor, while her father was receiving treatment in the United States, Bishop Oyedepo would call and pray with the family.

Interestingly, Pastor Mrs Elomobor and Pastor Faith Oyedepo belonged to the same Christian Student’s Fellowship at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and resided at the Moremi Hall.

Mrs Elomobor also handed over her position as Treasurer of the Student’s Fellowship to Pastor Faith Oyedepo. Little did they know they would both become Pastors’ wives to Generals in the Body of Christ.

As discussed on Church Gist platform some months ago, Bishop Elomobor was the first Pentecostal Bishop of Kano State and one of the first 2 in Northern Nigeria along with Bishop Oyedepo in Kaduna State.

God used him in a groundbreaking and remarkable way to take the gospel to the City of Kano when there where very few or no Pentecostal churches in the 1980s. Church Gist. The New Generation Bible Church International was a pioneering work in the City of Kano. The Church soon spread to different parts of the world including US and UK as early as 1993/1994. Coincidentally, this was around the same time that Daddy Oyedepo was doing a mighty work in the City of Kaduna. Church Gist. This is how he and Bishop Elomobor became quite close. Archbishop Benson Idahosa also of blessed memory and Bishop Oyedepo along with Harford Iloputaife of blessed memory were the ones to ordain Bishop Elomobor as the first Pentecostal Bishop in the City of Kano. He was the 4th to be ordained by the late Archbishop. Bishop Elomobor moved to Ogba, Lagos early in the 90s. It is located a stone throw from Victorious Army Ministries founded by Victor Agboli who also recently went to be with Jesus.

The visit yesterday took place in company of Rev Sam Olubiyo of Triumphant Christian Center, Ikeja, Lagos.
During the visit, Bishop Oyedepo got to meet and take pictures with not only the family of the departed Bishop but also senior officials of the Church.
Bishop Elomobor has since been buried in the United States of America.
