I had stumbled on a Church Gist post in the year 2019, while going through my Facebook feeds. The name “Church Gist” raised my level of curiousity as I have not seen any Christian social media platform that had such a thrilling name. The “Gist” in the name caught my attention.
I did not give in to my curiosity until about a year later when I had to follow up on all the happenings in the Christian community during the pandemic, when Churches were shut down and everyone was meant to sit home. It served as a great Faith booster for me, a means to have access to read quotes and declarations by great men of God such as, Bishop David .O. Oyedepo.
Reading through Church Gist website subsequently, I must commend the authentication of the information published. It is worthy of note that alterations are greatly minimized so that the originality of the information as delivered from the original source is intact and not altered. The importance of Church Gist cannot be overemphasized. In a society as ours, where certain Media vendors tend to exaggerate, undermine or alter the original messages passed across by the speaker or information obtained during a church event. Hence, a need for a platform such as Church Gist with core values of Truth, fear for the Lord and reverence for the things of the Lord. It is worthy of note, how rapid Church Gist gains access to recent happenings in the Christian community and appropriately disseminates the accessed information through platforms that reach its audience in a short space of time.
Church Gist is indeed a valuable asset to the Christian Community.
