BISHOP OYEDEPO’S ENCOUNTER WITH CHIEF GABRIEL IGBINEDION IN THE EARLY 90s

Bishop Oyedepo had travelled once to Benin with some other pastors of the Lagos Branch (Winners’ Chapel, Iyana Ipaja) of the Living Faith Church and was in a hurry to get back to Lagos. He had met with Archbishop Benson Idahosa along with his team and on rushing to the airport, he realized they had missed their flight. He confirmed that there was no flight again for the day and going from the airport to the Motor Park to charter another vehicle would cause a delay of at least 6 hours. It was a difficult situation. He began to think of what to do …suddenly he got a report from one of his staff, Pastor Chuks Odita (later Bishop) of blessed memory. The report wasn’t of much importance. A billionaire was about flying out of Benin Airport in his private jet to Lagos… what?????

‘Papa Oyedepo’ said, “Tell that man with that private jet there, he should help; give us lift to Lagos pending when our own arrives.”
That is, our own is coming. We are not begging; we are just letting you know.
The man (Chief Gabriel IGBINEDION, the Esama of Benin) laughed and said, “You people can come.”
According to Dr Enenche…Did their own come or not?
Lesson:
What you don’t see coming will never come. Where you don’t see yourself, you can’t find yourself.
You must first see yourself there if you will eventually find yourself there.
