THE WORD OF GOD IS GOD’S SUSTAINING POWER FOR CHURCH GROWTH

I command such air of shame, cleared off your mind and clear off your mind; clear off your heart and set you free to serve God in the name of Jesus Christ. Church Gist. Ways that we prove our love for God:
- Through our undying love for fellowship: you want to be home. You’re eager to be home. We are not street boys, street girls, and street women, we have a loving Father, we want to return to Him at all times. Church Gist. Psalm 132:14-16. That’s where God dwells; He dwells in the midst of His people. Every true lover of God craves for fellowship. They crave for His presence which is domiciled in Church, wherever two or three are gathered He is there in their midst. Now, David the lover, said in Psalm 84:1-2. That was his condition, that was his motivation. A crave for fellowship is one of the vital proofs of our love for God. Psalm 122:1. Church Gist. Fellowship is not a burden to someone who loves God. Fellowship is never a burden but a thing of utmost delight. You love God, you love His house. You don’t love His house, there’s no proof that you love Him.
- Through our delightful commitment to stewardship: Delightful commitment to serving God’s interest. Delightsome! Jesus said when they thought somebody had brought Him food to eat: John 4:32-34. My meat, it’s as delightsome as eating to me. Church Gist. It’s as refreshing as eating to me. Delightsome! He took upon himself the form of a servant. Philippians 2:9. The more delightsome serving God is to us, the higher the height we scale. My God! He was obedient unto death and you know obedience is the hallmark of servanthood. Romans 6:16. Philippians 2:9. There is no day, somebody, not serving God, won’t think that somebody serving God is using medicine. No, he is using God! Exodus 23:25-26. So, you look like a magician to them, it is working every time. Church Gist. It will work. Obedience will always commit God’s integrity to perform. Thank you Jesus! Delightsome obedience! Psalm 112:1-2. Generational blessing comes through delightful obedience. And when that is applied to God’s core area of interest, as soul winning and pulling people out of darkness into light, bringing them from under the power of satan unto God, My God, He shows up! Psalm 112:3. So serving God is not just enough, we must serve Him with delight, utmost delight. No pressure, no coercion, no faking it, genuine.
And what’s in that for me? You are involved in the growth, Church growth endeavours, God’s agenda of pulling people into the kingdom of God, He said, Jeremiah 30:21. Amazing things! Again, my prayer this morning is that somebody’s story, ordained for a change of story this time, will not be lost to carelessness. Daniel 3:26-28. Neat triumph! Malachi 3:17. You are always separated and exempted from the holocaust of life as you continue to serve God with utmost delight. Church Gist. These four were in love because love is as strong as death. Songs of Solomon 8:6. My God! Daniel 3:17. You can’t serve God without knowing. Paul said, “God, whose I am, and whom I serve.” You can’t be serving God’s interest and not know. Please be awake! God is out to distinguish between those who are serving Him, and those who are not serving Him, and He is doing that already. All those spotted testimonies are clear cases of what obtains when a man is genuinely serving God and the interest of His kingdom. Church Gist. They’re highlights and you must be listed among the highlights this time. The two weeks we have, they are all awesome periods. God who recreated the world in one week, can completely rewrite the story of anybody who cares to obey Him. Can I hear your Amen? Lift up your right hand and give God thanks!
Give Him thanks please if you’re ready for it, give Him thanks. You’re ready to give God the best of your best these next two weeks beginning from today, give Him thanks. Church Gist. You’re ready to go all along and throw away every shame, and then be blessed with His glory, give Him thanks. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Now quickly before we share the goodness this morning, let’s look at some hidden powers behind supernatural Church growth. So we know what powers to focus on, to keep on duty if we must keep the Church ever growing.
1) God the Father: The sole multiplier of the flock. Except this God builds, they labour in vain that build anything. Deuteronomy 1:11. He is the grand multiplier of the Church. Jeremiah 30:19. Psalm 2:8. I’m the one who can give you. There’s no point you can brag yourself of skill or expertise. Ezekiel 36:37. Every Church growth prophetic agenda is only deliverable by the hand of God. Church Gist. Our confidence in God must be intact for us to see any growth and multiplication agenda delivered. Paul the great soul winner said, Philippians 3:3. We must keep God at the centre of our obedience. This can only be made to happen by the hand of God. 1 Kings 8:15. So faith in God, the grand multiplier of this Church is vital to see supernatural growth, to experience supernatural growth in any assembly.
2) Jesus Christ the master builder of the Church: Matthew 16:18. For you and me to bear fruits, he said, John 15:5. The gates of hell are always resisting the advancement of the Church but the Bible says, Philippians 2:9-10. Luke 10:17-18. Church Gist. All opposing forces are ordained to bow to the authority of the name of Jesus. So without Jesus, no assembly ever experiences supernatural growth.
3) The Holy Ghost: the master convicter, and converter of souls. Acts 2:37, 41; John 16:7-11; Acts 13:9-12. Without the Holy Ghost, you may gather a crowd, you don’t see a convert. You just have crowds without convert. They’re there to be entertained, and you’re the entertainer as their pastor, and co-entertainers as soul winners. Church Gist. Without the Holy Ghost stepping in to convict and convert. Matthew 9:38. He is the one that ignites people to get on fire and keep moving for God.
4) The Reaper Angels: They need to be actively involved in reaping the end time harvest. Matthew 13:39; Hebrews 1:14. So they are available for our engagement. Jesus said, Matthew 26:53. Reaper Angels take over this morning, across our harvest field, and draft multitudes here supernaturally. Church Gist. You’re engaging! Holy Ghost, minster to all these my contacts to the point of conviction, leading to their conversion. You’re now engaging those forces; they’re needed forces. Going out and coming in is not the answer; going out and coming back with results is what is required. Can I hear your Amen?
5) The Word: That’s God’s sustaining power of Church growth. Matthew 24:28; Psalm 23:2. Fresh meat! Acts 6:7. Great multiplication provoked by the Word. Acts 13:44. We will see that tomorrow here. Everyone that ever had any of our fliers or tracts, will gather tomorrow. Those who are not saved shall find salvation. Church Gist. Those who are saved shall find establishment in the name of Jesus. They came to hear the word. They were pressing for the word, crowd pressing. Jesus had to move into the water to keep the crowd away; to create room so He will not be choked. The Word is always in command of multitudes. God’s Word! Psalm 68:11.
