MONEY IS NOT EVIL BUT THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVILS.
GOD WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO ACCESS WHAT YOU WILL WORSHIP. WHEN MONEY CONTROLS YOUR THOUGHTS, IT IS A RISK FOR YOU TO ACCESS IT.
ONE IS EITHER ON THE SIDE OF GOD OR THE SIDE OF GOLD. YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MONEY, YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE ONE AND DESPISE THE OTHER
YOU HAVE ONLY ONE HEART – HAVE A GENUINE HEART FOR GOD AND THERE WILL BE NO VACANCY FOR THE god OF GOLD TO OCCUPY
DURABLE RICHES ARE A PRODUCT OF ENGAGING THE WISDOM OF GOD IN YOUR FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
WHATEVER THING YOU ARE GETTING INTO, DON’T THINK THAT PLAYING SMART IS THE WAY OUT. IT ALWAYS GETS PEOPLE TRAPPED
- Bishop David Oyedepo at Special Midweek Communion Service || Canaanland.
Prayers: Lord, teach me how to walk in your word.
By divine privilege, I have come with some divine secrets from heaven that will bring an end to your struggles forever in the area of finances. Do you know why armed robbers are on the street? To them, it is better to die than to live and have no money. They choose to die than to be alive and not have money. Why are many in the cults today even though they were believers yesterday? They just must have money. “What is eternal life about, let me have this temporal life first?” Church Gist. People get so cheaply floored because they lack access to how to walk in the word. The wealthiest individuals on this earth before Jesus forms shall be bona fide burning Christians. Forget about all these dirty cults. I got a word from the Lord for you that will establish you in the realm of financial fortune without any trace of misfortune.
Lord Jesus speak to everyone tonight, let no one leave here without a word from you. Let the word of each one come finally tonight in the name of Jesus Christ.
KEYS TO OPERATING IN THE REALM OF FINANCIAL FORTUNE.
Let me start this way, beware! The god of gold is ever seeking worshippers. He went as bad as to go to Christ. Luke 4:5-8. That is the god of gold speaking. He is ever seeking worshippers and will go to just anybody. This is Jesus born of God, who received the Holy Ghost without measure. He still went to him to seek his worship. That is what He is doing around the world today but Jesus took the keys off him as he rose from the dead.
Money is not evil but the love of money is the root of all evils. Let’s check through some scriptural verdicts that define God’s position on money. Haggai 2:8-9. We are also told that God opens His hands and satisfies the desires of every living thing (Psalm 145:16). So He has the answers in His hands. Philippians 4:19. So He commands riches on His throne. Revelation 21:19-21. That is the splendour of the wealth of heaven. Habakkuk 1:13. Church Gist. God lives in the midst of gold so gold cannot be evil. If therefore money is evil then God is dwelling in the midst of evil. Isaiah 66:1. That throne is built of this massive display of wealth. Money is not evil, it is the love of money that is the root of evil.
Now, we come down to Christ. When Christ came there is no record that He ever begged for anything. He was always on the buying side. When the question arose as to how to feed the 5000 men excluding women and children, an average of maybe 10,000. The question was where are we going to get bread to buy, not where are we going to get money to buy. He had enough to feed all of them. There was no single iota of doubt as to where to get the money. John 13:27-28. The disciples must have understood that to mean either to give to the poor or go and buy something they will need. Church Gist. He was ever on the giving and buying side. We saw Him in a convoy of ships (Mark 4:29). This is not an ordinary ship, He has an inner compartment where He could sleep and even though water enters the boat, It can’t touch him. Whether acquired or leased, a convoy of ships will cost quite some money. That was how much command of wealth Jesus had when He was here. He sent His disciples to go and get the large Upper Room furnished when He was going to Jerusalem. That is a kind of presidential suite of a 5-star hotel today. Luke 22:12. This Jesus we are told knew no sin. 2 Corinthians 5:21. If money was evil, He would have been one of the most sinful people that ever walked the earth. This reaffirms the fact that money is not evil but the love of money is the root of all evil. 2 Timothy 6:10.
It is important for us to know that we are redeemed to have riches not for riches to have us. 2 Corinthians 8:9. The price that bailed us out of poverty was paid on the cross. He went naked for us to be clothed. He wore a crown for us to wear a crown of glory. They spat on Him for the world to respect us wherever we go. Revelation 5:12. We are redeemed to operate in the realm of financial fortune but not to live for gold, not to serve gold. Every truth of scriptures received and believed empowers you to manifest it. Every truth of scripture only works in the lives of those who buy into them. Proverbs 23:23. Church Gist. Many have heard the truth, discovered the truth and are even teaching the truth but have not bought into it. Luke 6:46. It is not about accessing divine secrets, it is about trading divine secrets. Every divine secret carries enough virtue to make a star out of any dummy believer if there is any such that exists. Mark 4:32. This is not preaching, it is a Seminar. He sent me to address why things are not working when they should.
God will not allow you to access what you will worship. No! You are not a candidate. When money controls your thoughts, it is a risk for you to access it. The rich man in the book of Mark chose money as against eternal life. He was the one that came and asked what he needs to do to inherit eternal life, not that Jesus went to him. Mark 10:17-20, 21-31. That is how desperate the god of money has been in holding down many precious destinies. This is money, this is eternal life, he said I choose money, take your eternal life away. There was an active member of this church who later became a member of an armed robbery gang. He chose to. When you carry your gun to go hunt for human beings who have not hurt you or offended you if they kill you it is what you are looking for. Your plan and your thought to do it qualifies you for death. Please settle down. These two Wednesdays will mark a turning point in your life forever. It is like an armed robber asking his victim “your money or your life?” an individual should reply “ I choose money, take my life”. Without your life what is the worth of money? People are laughing now but that is exactly how many people live. Give me money first, every other thing after. The possession of money is not evil, the love of money is. Achan was a victim of the love of money which destroyed his entire lineage. Joshua 7:6-25. Gehazi loved money and lost his destiny as a prophet to the nations. 2 Kings 5:10-27. Church Gist. Destiny closed. He thought ministry was for collecting money. There are many ministries today that think so. There are those who rejoice that they took an offering and it was very fat. How much was your own there? It’s all Gehazi’s spirit. Gehazi ran and caught up with a chariot. That kind of speed qualifies for an Olympics gold medal.
-No one here will carry the leprosy of the god of gold.
- no one will destroy his lineage for money.
- poverty shall never be identified with anyone’s lineage here.
We have Judas the Apostle, who had secured a throne according to Jesus. He lost it all. An executive member of Jesus’ apostolic ministry ended up a son of perdition. Why? Money. He was a land speculator. He was buying land everywhere. Church Gist. Matthew 27:1-5. It doesn’t matter how close you are to any apostle or prophet, anybody can still choose what he wants to do. 1 Timothy 6:10-11. Flee the love of money before you are lost. It has brought about many foolish and hurtful losses that dragged men into destruction and perdition.
How Can We Have Money Without Loving Money?
Do you want to hear? That is why I came. Deuteronomy 29:29.
- You have only one heart – have a genuine heart for God and there will be no vacancy for the god of gold to occupy. Proverbs 23:26. The Macedonian Church exploded in wealth, how? They first gave themselves unto the Lord and then they gave their substance. Many believers are yet to give God their hearts. They are sharing the management of their heart with God. The devil takes advantage of it and just throws them out of balance. Have a heart for God. David, a man with a heart for God, commanded unusual wealth. How do I know? 1 Chronicles 29:3. He commanded tremendous wealth, you go down that passage and you find out that what David alone gave was more than what all the elders of Israel gave. Church Gist. A heart for God will put you in command of financial fortune. A genuine heart for God, not a religious heart. Wherever a man’s treasure is, there also his heart will be.
- Delight yourself in obeying God’s commandment and by doing so, you have committed Him to perform His word in your life.
Psalm 112:1-9
He is just walking in the commandment of the Lord and securing generational fortune for his generations yet unborn. Delightsome not coerced obedience just oozing out of you out of your free will. Every commandment of scripture is for our profiting. Church Gist. It is not adding to God anything, God is I AM anytime any day. He can’t increase, He is filled all in on. There is nothing we do that impacts God, it impacts us. Take delight in obeying His commandment. Deuteronomy 28:1,12. You have a great future.
- Be committed to serving the interests of God’s kingdom with your God-given resources.
You don’t have any resources. You came into this world naked. Your God-given resources when you direct them to promote His kingdom, it keeps multiplying. 1 Chronicles 29:3. Just keep loving God and the interest of His kingdom and there you are launching into financial fortune. Haggai 1:3-13. Stop thinking that you made it when it was given to you. - Make the advancement of God’s kingdom your high priority in life.
Matthew 24:14. The spread of the gospel requires massive financial input. God is looking for those to who He can entrust that massive wealth into their hands. Wealth in the kingdom is not an achievement but an entrustment. Luke 16:11. True riches are entrusted to people. How much can God trust you to engage with those resources on His eternal purpose on earth? I am speaking to everyone that God is blessing now at one level or another, you better connect for sustainable, durable riches. The kind that your Church is enjoying without playing smart or any corner corner. Church Gist. Durable riches are a product of engaging the wisdom of God in your financial management. We are going to torment the devil forever. All these running around you steal till forever, it won’t match God’s blessings in the life of God’s people.
These blessings that are accrued through these channels, they make rich and add no sorrow. The days of sorrow are finally over in your life. Someone asked me how do you cope with all these things, I said I am not coping. I am just having fun. Ask my wife if we ever sat down and said how do we go forward from here. Not once in these 20 days we have been married have we sat down to think of a problem “how do we go about this”. Church Gist. We are just triumphing over all things. I have never wished that we had money to pay staff in my life. Lockdown? You can’t lock down heaven. The covenant that we work with, you can’t lock it down. Nobody was owed a dime all through lockdown and no pressure from anywhere. The days of sorrow must end in your life.
Let’s check on some biblical examples that traded these secrets that we are talking about.
Abraham
Abraham built an empire through his lifestyle of unreserved obedience. Every instruction, he dived into it as though he knew before. “Get thee out of thy country” and boom Abraham departed. “Take your son, your only son Isaac whom thou loveth”. He rose early in the morning. He grew to become a nation with an army that could engage another nation’s army in battle and prevail. Abraham traded the instruction of tithing, so he paid the tithe of all when he returned from war. Church Gist. Abraham was also a super liberal soul. He displayed liberality to those two men, he thought they were men but they were angels. That opened a new chapter in his life. Abraham gave Lot everything that he wanted. Lot chose the green fields. Liberal to a fault and yet when Lot was arrested he ran to his rescue. Abraham, a delightsome lover of God, servant of God, an obedient servant of God grew to become an emperor. Isaiah 51:1-3. Abraham became the symbol of God’s blessings on the earth through delightsome obedience.
Job
Job was a die-hard servant of God and the greatest businessman of his days. Though he was gruesomely challenged, He was supernaturally restored. Church Gist. In the end, he had twice what he used to have and retained his place as the greatest businessman of his age. Job 1:1-3, 29:4-17, 42:10-14.
Solomon loved God and God lavished him with unusual riches but when he withdrew his love from God, He began to use his God-given wealth to fight battles. There was no war all the time he was in love with God. When he turned his back on God, God turned his back on him and he had to begin to levy people to pay the cost of war. Church Gist. Vanity upon vanity, all became vanity. 1 Kings 3:3-13, 11:14-17. He fought till the day of his death. He had an adversary against him till the day of his death. May God never turn his back against you.
David had a heart for God and he kept that heart burning till the end of his time. Today, we know the place he occupied – Jesus, son of David. Today Jesus is with the key in heaven that opens and no man shuts and shuts and no man opens. This is why it is wisdom to first give one’s heart to God as David did. 1 Samuel 13:14.
Take delight in obeying God’s commandment and watch what He makes with your life. It is wisdom to be committed to advancing God’s kingdom with our God-given resources. The end is always very sweet. Remember according to Jesus, one is either on the side of God or the side of gold. You cannot serve God and mammon. You cannot serve God and money, you have to choose one and despise the other. When a believer chooses to love and serve God, he gains and retains command of gold till the end of time. When a man chooses to serve gold, he gets destroyed at the end as it was with Achan, Gehazi, Judas and several others in scriptures. Church Gist. When we choose to obey the law that puts believers in command of financial fortune, we end up laying God as dust. That means a thing of no value. Nobody worships anything that is of no value to him. Dust is a thing of no value. It is avoiding that law that has made money of so much value to people. Some people will be reading a book and when they get to a place, they just stop and say “I don’t agree”. You don’t have to agree with the truth. Truth is the truth, there is nothing you can do against it. If you want to be free from financial struggle, engage with the law. Job 22:21-25. Genesis 8:20-22. That is how you find your rest in God. God does not need us for anything, we need God for everything. 2 Kings 6:26-27. God has it all.
I believe someone has caught a secret tonight, money should not be allowed to win your worship or you lose eternal life. When a man gives up the ghost, you can see his hand but he can’t hold a pen anymore. He can’t sign a cheque. Nobody has ever died with money buried along with him. If he wrote it in the will, they will violate the will. You are not going from here with anything. Church Gist. He wants to give you everything that you need that will make you a blessing to all those around you. 1 Timothy 6:17-19. As God increases you and enlarges your coast of blessings, also enlarge your coast of good works.
- Money will never control your life. It will never win your worship.
Prayers: Thank God for the light you have received and receive grace to walk in it.
Wherever the sun shines, this law holds. That you run to Jamaica doesn’t change it. That you run from the North Pole to the South Pole doesn’t change it. Wherever the sun shines this law functions. Church Gist. Grace to take delight in obeying the instructions of God’s word so as to take hold of the enviable future God has for you, received it now. Pray for it if you want it.
Can I tell you how much this law holds under all circumstances? The Macedonian Church was very poor, they called it deep poverty (2 Corinthians 8:2). What an unusual grace. The good news is that the days of financial sorrow are finally over in your life.
For those of our sons in the house who are going into politics, you don’t have to steal to do well. Daniel was a front line leader and they couldn’t find one thing against him. Whatever thing you are getting into, don’t think that playing smart is the way out. It always gets people trapped. A woman here was selling waste bottles and through waste bottles found her way abroad. Whatsoever he doeth, he shall prosper. Pastors are not known to prosper before. They are always a burden to the people around them. Whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper without changing books without playing games so get ready for it. It’s a new day for you. When God smiles on you everything around you takes a new turn. I pray that the God of this Commission who has been smiling on this Church since inception will smile on you this time and you connect with the light of this word, your financial struggles are over. Somebody already paid the price just go and take delivery. God will surprise us in the name of Jesus.
