This month is our month of prayers for possibilities. That’s the theme of the month and in today’s service we are looking at, MOVING THE HAND OF GOD – PART ONE. You don’t wait for God to move, you can move God to act in your favour. Church Gist. You can create the future you desire through quality decision backed with action from your heart. Yeah this is a month where you are praying and you are praying, and your prayer is not moving God, I will tell you there’s another thing you need to do to add to your prayers to move God quickly. Say I hear! In Scriptures, many did it and they saw results that are outstanding. You have prayed and prayed and prayed and God’s hand is not moving, then, there’s something you need to do to move God to act. Church Gist. And I pray today as you have understanding of God’s word, He will move you to act in your favour.
Solomon wanted to move God to act in his favour, concerning his future assignment and he did something very profound. Turn with me to 2 Chronicles 1:6-7. A seed can be used to move God to bless your future assignment. Solomon was given responsibility to govern the greatest kingdom on the Earth as at that time, Israel. He realized he needed to move the hand of God to bring for the release of divine provision required to fulfill his assignment. And Solomon knew that prayer alone will not be enough. So he offered sacrifices to God on purpose. Church Gist. He wanted to get God’s attention. He said, “Lord, I want you to give me attention concerning this affair.” Solomon got it through his giving. Through what? He got God’s attention through his giving. Look at 2 Chronicles 1:8 – 10 very carefully. “O give me a miracle appointment.” “O God at this point I need a husband.” “O God at this point I need breakthrough.” Solomon prayed that kind of prayer here. He said I need wisdom and knowledge. “Lord I need something extraordinary to move you to give me wisdom and knowledge.” Say I hear!
If you want to get something you have never gotten, you have to do something you have never done. Solomon has never gotten wisdom and knowledge, if you want to shift in levels, you have to do something you have never done in the level where you are. Church Gist. Many people pray and don’t get extraordinary results because they don’t mix their prayer with giving. Are you hearing what I am saying?
I will tell you a lot of times, check every prayer ministry, you see high level poverty because the two go hand in hand. Check any ministry that emphasize on only prayers, without giving, you see poverty very high. Church Gist. Any ministry which emphasize on only giving, you see his spiritual weakness. The two must go together. Say I hear! Chief prayer warrior, you must also know that another thing you do to move the hand of God for a change of levels.
- Your level will change. Say, “my level will change.”
Look at verse 11, the same chapter. In prayer, you don’t pray for money. I’ve not prayed for money from 1997 till date. You don’t pray for money. This is my area. You move God to answer you, you don’t pray for it. If you like pray from morning from now till tomorrow, if you get breakthrough, come and tell, without giving, I will drop this Bible and I will drop preaching. You will never get breakthrough praying for money, you must give to get money. If you get money without giving, I will drop preaching. I will resign tomorrow. It’s impossible! Church Gist. It’s like trying to pluck star in the sky with bare hand. There’s no way God can now break the Scripture; He said seedtime and harvest shall not cease. It’s impossible to say, “O God, I need money,” and you don’t give and you got money except you want to steal; except you got it by robbery. But for Kingdom, for God to open, it’s impossible. It is trying to use the key of a Peugeot to open a house. Are you hearing what I’m saying?
I’m teaching because Christians are so frustrated thinking that the devil is the problem. They pray pray pray, they shake their head and they say, “Oluwa Oluwa Oluwa, Chineke Chineke Chineke, Obong Obong Obong.” God says I am not a wicked God; do the thing I said you should do. Church Gist. Say I hear! And many don’t know what to do so they are frustrated because people who are teaching them too don’t know what to do. I’ve tasted the two, this Church prays, this Church gives, there has to be a balance. Look at verse 11 – 12.
- May God answer all your requests in the name of Jesus.
Money is phone charger. When you buy phone, do you pray for charger? Okay let me put battery. Do you pray for your phone battery when you buy phone? Is it an accessory? Is phone battery an accessory? Money is an accessory to those who know what to do. You don’t pray for it. Since you came to this Church, check we are a praying Church, we have never prayed for money. How many of you have ever heard us praying for money? Never! You will never hear us pray for money in this Church yet, we are one of the richest Churches on Earth. Church Gist. True? You better listen to a man who knows what he is talking. Have you ever seen this Church any day say, “Pray, let Dollar come?” Okay, you’ve been praying for Dollar, you’ve been very dull. You’ve not got Dollar, won’t you change the pattern? You can’t pray for money to get money. Mba! It doesn’t work like that. I’m telling you the principle that turns us. 2 Chronicles 1:12.
- This month of prayers for possibilities, as you add this to your prayers, I command your Heavens to open in the name of Jesus!
Solomon asked for wisdom and received much more, he received far more than what he asked. He didn’t ask for money, God gave him riches and honour. Hear what God said, Matthew 12:42b.
