WHEN YOU MEET YOUR FATHER YOU WILL NOT NEED ANY PROPHET TO TELL YOU BECAUSE HE WILL SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE

Evening Session, Day Three.
I am here tonight to speak on the subject THE LIFTING POWER OF SPIRITUAL COVERING.
Hosea 12:13, 2 Chronicles 20:20b.
Father, we thank you tonight, I ask oh Lord that you breathe upon your word. Tonight I make a demand on the prophetic mantle that is at work in the life of your servant, at work in this Commission. I connect with the same mantle and ask for a flow of the same in Jesus name we pray.
The objective tonight is:
- Understanding the lifting power of spiritual covering.
- Understanding the demands of spiritual covering.
I will like to start tonight by saying everything under heaven flourishes under the right environment. Every seed needs the right soil to grow that is why yam doesn’t grow everywhere, rice doesn’t grow everywhere. Every eaglet becomes an eagle by the ministry of a mother eagle. There is no eaglet that can become an eagle without the training of a mother eagle. Church Gist. In this kingdom, to enjoy the lifting power of God. We must be willing to come under a pastoral, prophetic covering. As we do that I believe that the Lord will bless us with the dividend of serving under a prophet.
I will like to start by looking at some examples from scriptures.
- Lot and Abraham
Genesis 13:5.
When Lot came under the prophetic covering of Abraham, God caused him to have uncommon blessings. By virtue of that association, the life of Lot experienced an unusual shift to the glory of God. Church Gist. So when a person agrees to submit under a pastoral covering, the testimony of your father becomes your testimony. The testimony of your mentor becomes your testimony.
- Saul and Samuel
Saul was looking for the father’s missing donkey, he didn’t know who he was until he encountered the prophet, Samuel. By that encounter, his destiny shifted. One of the major assignments of a prophet is to define your assignment. I believe tonight someone’s assignment shall be defined.
- Joshua and Moses
His submission to the ministry of Moses brought the honour of Moses upon his life.
- The children of Israel
Hosea 12:13.
The children of Israel were in Egypt for 430 years with nothing to show. Labour without reward, until God said in Exodus 3:7-10. Prophetic covering is real. Church Gist. God saw their affliction but he did not come down physically, He sent his prophet Moses. He could have done it himself but because he believed in the principle of spiritual coverage. He came down through his servant Moses to deliver his children.
- David
In 1 Samuel 16, he was rejected, disconnected, and sent to the bush and he was there all alone while the other brothers were at home. 1 Samuel 16:11-13. Samuel was used by God to bring David from the background to the forefront. He was used to reveal the potential of David.
- Our Master Jesus
He came to deliver mankind, he came as the son of God. However, he could not heal a fly until he submitted himself to the ministry of John the Baptist.
Beloved, prophetic covering is divine and it is real.
What is the dividend of functioning or submitting to the ministry of your prophet
- The release of potential
The mantle of your prophet activates your potential, Saul never knew that the capacity to prophesy was inside him until he encountered Prophet Samuel. In the same vein, when David encountered Prophet Samuel, his potential was released.
- Direction
Saul was missing road until he got in contact with Samuel.
- Honour
Submission offers you the privilege to share in the honour of your father. The Bible said the Lord was with Joshua as He was with Moses. When Elisha parted the Red Sea, the sons of the prophet said that the spirit of Elijah rested upon Elisha. The honour of your father.
- What bows for your father bows for you
- Your father’s voice lends authority to your voice.
- Preservation and Protection
For some of us here tonight like me, if not for prophetic cover I might not have been here today. Coming in contact with God’s servant and remaining under the cover preserved my life. I remember when we were in Liberia during the Ebola season. People were dying left right and centre but one word from my father preserved the sheepfold of Dunamis Monrovia. Your father, your mentor determines your colour. Your father determines your future, to be fatherless is to be futureless. Church Gist. I can tell you that from the time I met God’s servant till date. I met him under a cover and he remains under the cover till date. Like he shared with us yesterday, from the time I met him till date, he goes for every Shiloh and Ministers Conference at Ota till date.
What are the demands of spiritual coverage?
- Identify your prophet, identify your father and mentor.
Whose voice does God use to speak to you? You might be asking how do I identify my father? Your father speaks your language, not your local language, he speaks your spiritual language. It appeals to your soul. When you meet your father you don’t need a prophet to tell you. You come in for every meeting and it is as if somebody told him something about you. Something on the inside will tell you that if you hang around for a while your level will change. Jeremiah 3:15. Church Gist. God gives pastors, people don’t choose pastors. Your pastor is the one with your DNA. He is the one that carries what you need. It has nothing to do with age, it has nothing to do with where he or she comes from. God gives pastors, people don’t give themselves pastors.
- Clearly define what you want out of that relationship.
You don’t follow for following sake. Elisha was not the first servant of Elisha. The first servant was the one that followed him to Mount Carmel after he prophesied the release of an abundance of rain. That first servant is nameless. Nobody here can tell us the name of that servant but Elisha decided to follow with a sense of purpose even when his friends tried all they could to discourage him. Church Gist. When the opportunity presented itself, Elijah asked him what he wanted and he said a double portion. Know what you want. Every prophet is made up of very many parts. What do you want?
- Receive his ministry with an open heart.
Receive means believe. 1 Chronicles 20:20. - Guard your heart against offence.
One of the things the devil uses to disconnect people is offence. The devil begins to make you misinterpret every action, guard your heart. Church Gist. You can change your boss in the office but you can’t change your father.
- Serve the anointing
Joshua served Moses (Numbers 11:28). Elisha served Elijah. There can be no impartation without contribution. Find yourself contributing to the ministry of your prophet through service.
- Maintain hard connectivity.
Many times our father is declaring here and his father is declaring over here the same thing. Why? Because of hard connectivity.
I believe tonight that someone here shall be visited. Someone here shall experience impartation by observation.
- It is a new day for you.
- What works for our father shall work for you.
Lift your hands and give God praise.
